I have to say I did not truly understand the severity of the question when I was first answering it, it would be more reasonable to talk about Kirill’s characterisation first, and only then add that calling someone a jew in Russia doesn’t have the same weight as it is in the west. It is not derogatory, but still racist and should not be normal. I hope my stance on the question is evident by Kirill’s character development.

Like the proper initial response would have been something like “I express the deepest apologies for me and my team. We did not intend to appear to condone anti-semitism and we would never condon such a terrible idealiogy. We’re currently pushing a hot-fix to resolve this error.”
It’s absolutely okay to express concern and provide criticism of content within a game in general, especially some that can or is viewed in a negative light. But let’s make sure to keep it in line with the forum rules and keep the comments respectful and civil as well as the responses.
At this point the issue has been brought up, the dev is aware of it, and the problem. I would advise the dev to take into consideration the translation and localization of the game for the cultures they are providing the translation to. It could be in their best interest to either remove or change the offending name. If the point is not to have the main character be a racist or derogatory character, then this part of the translation would not be working as intended. Part of the point of localization is to avoid cultural misunderstandings and further communicate the intent or meaning of the message. There are plenty of ways to do this with names without having it be something offensive, which does not seem to be the original intent. However, if the dev choses to do nothing or simply add more context about it in game, that is something that would be up to them to decide.

Actually, that would be my exact answer if I was a real racist trying to safe face in need to retain profits. What I did is send a definite in-game proof this is just Kirill’s characterisation as an asshole. My degree is in computer science, not public relations. I make games, not tip-toe around the problem trying to find fancy words for the people who care about the form, and not the content.
I will change the nickname of Georgiy to Huckster. It will still be something offensive and in-character for Kirill while not being that out of proportion of an insult for the western audience.

I think naming that guy “Jew” was just a joke, and in the intention of the developer it wasn’t derogatory at all. It obviously IS derogatory, but I don’t see bad intentions, just a lack of attention and education.
Pay no mind to him, i think at this point he just looks like an idiot trying to accuse someone of something he got sensitive over. The fact that he assumed Georgy was a Jew and then claims that calling someone a Jew is racist by itself means he is absolutely clueless.

True. Its just that guy thought Georgy was a Jew. Calling Jew a Jew should be fine if you really cant remember names, it’s just a characteristic you can cling onto, and you are not calling him that in person or publicly, just write it down to remember. I have big trouble remembering names myself and calling someone by their nationality or most outstanding characteristics is actually relatable.
But Georgy isn’t a Jew. That makes MC a complete asshole. But that guy was unaware of that.

Other changes:
The tips won’t show up on the loading screen until they are loaded, preventing them from being in the wrong language
The “hide/show” text is now closer to the area that is responsible for showing and hiding the dialogue box
Fixed the instance where Galina’s portrait appeared on the left side of the screen when asking her to turn around
Checking the “music” and “violence” before the start of the game won’t interfere with the work of the “skip prologue” and “win battles” boxes and vice versa
Checking the “win battles” box now also skips the battle preparation stage and goes straight to the battle screen to autowin the fight
Galina sends the correct selfie once she reaches stage 5 of weight gain
If Galina reaches stage 5 before the ball, the correct picture will be displayed in the sex scene (there will still be a small visual bug but I hope to fix it later)
Galina now properly changes her PFP after beating Georgiy
On the Bachelor and Master’s difficulty Kirill will have 4 points of time each day now
The game will wait for all the text files to load before allowing you to finish the loading
Added the delay before being able to click the phone again after using it
Doubled the speed of the phone popping up
Now Galina is called Hog in contacts once her weight reaches 75 kilos

The Windows version is already in the folder, will add Mac and Linux soon after.
