"Another Day In Paradise" - A Rhythm Game and Gainful Employment Simulator

I’m sorry you didn’t care for it. If you’d like to skip the gameplay, I put in a cheat code for people who might feel that way. Press the f,a, and t keys together after starting and you’ll instantly succeed.

I was a kinda harsh. After the beginning the rhythms were fun, maybe not so long of an intro or at least not so long of a VERY easy intro. I’d give it like a 4 out of 5 for the later half. I do music, so the simple rhythms at the beginning were torture. XD Good Job Overall

Loved this game!!! The gameplay feels like playing and the later levels really challenged me.

Also, Client is the cutest girl ever!

Difficulty curve was there, but jeez did the “game” draw out. It was definitely blurred the lines on whether or not it was a game, but I believe that was the point so, good work on that. If you want people to really enjoy the game, just cut each day in half or something

Thank you all for the feedback!

I appreciate the time you all have taken to play the game and happy to see how many of you have finished. The atmosphere we were trying to convey for the first seven days was the feeling of a dead-end, albeit humorous, soulless office job. This was intended to align the game with the theme by setting up for the twist, and to give room for personal growth for the protagonist as she developed a relationship with the client. I do understand how this may not be fun for many however, and in response to your feedback I have added an option for “short days”. This lowers the shifts from 60 seconds to 30 seconds. You can find this setting in the options menu.

I’ve uploaded the new version with this change to the itch.io page.

Side note: When uploading the new version I bungled it a bit and the Windows game jam version was briefly deleted, but quickly restored. However, as a result, the Game Jam Windows version will have an incorrect timestamp for its upload. I have already cleared this with the admins, so there’s no issue there.

THREE ARROWS!? My my, how subversive! — It was a little mind bending towards the end but I somehow managed to only fail twice. Honestly, it’s an adorable game, I just wish the purchasable items had a bit more to them (though I thoroughly enjoyed the baseball hahaha~) Cute art, funny story and references, just wish there were a few more stages of fatness to enjoy from more angles, still great work!
