Did you get around to editing that file? If so, had you uploaded it to Itch.io yet?
I’ve already started working on the next segment so I can’t really put a proper patch cause it’d have a bunch of unfinished content in it. I can give you replacements for the specific files that are causing this.
Here’s a fixed map file for the bugged room. In the game files go into www/data and replace the existing map470 with this one. Then go into www/audio/bgm and rename “Funiculì_funiculà” to “Funiculi_funicula” (Removing the accent marks)

A way I sometimes circumvent it is by taking another file of whatever in the same bin, rename it to what it needs and it should work. I’ve put blank imagines so I know it’s that file that causes it or if it’s working

The original file had the correct name, but the name of the song had accent marks, which some computers can’t read properly. So I’ve changed the file name & the name the game looks for to not have them.

Hello! I love the game so far!
I have run into a bit of a snag though. During the side quest with Vlad to go to Paris, I can run into this red circle and initiate a battle with the Empty Space. I think I missed a line of dialogue eariler telling me what to do because I can’t damage or run away from the space. Could you please advise on how to deal with it? should I just not walk into it?
Edit: Shadow Snares seems to have killed it? I guess I just missed that one when trying it. Sorry to have bothered you with this lol.

That enemy is immune to physical damage but is vulnerable to elemental stuff like Amber burping or Janet’s fire vines, it’s like a ghost type in Pokémon. Nearly every enemy in this game has damage weaknesses and resistances, occasionally you’ll find one that’s extreme like this.
Notably, cutting, piercing, and blunt are different damage types. Enemies with armor tend to resist cutting, enemies that look pressurized tend to be weak to piercing, so on.

Hate to ask but, regarding the Twinky man segment, do I miss out on anything by failing to do all 3 puzzles? I had no idea at the time on how to do the crossword puzzle (regarding what controls to use to do it). As for skipping all 3 puzzles, do you fight the twinky man?

If you do one or zero of his puzzles he’ll fight you. If you do at least two puzzles he’ll thank you for doing it and willingly leave this mortal coil. You don’t get any special items for either path and you can replay the sidequest to see the other path if you want to.

When you release new updates, do you provide a recent save file? Or should I make sure not to delete my save while waiting?

hold onto your save for next time. people keep deleting their dang saves. i do not replace them

PSA for those who play this game, you could copy and paste your saves folder and store it somewhere else just in case you delete the outdated version of the game. Yes this game can re-use old(er) saves, just not all games allow old(er) saves to be re-used.
Why do you guys delete your saves just to start over from scratch/ask for saves? Should listen to Zenthicks post above.

About to play new release (made break after version 0.16) and got silly character concept related to vore:
Girl that before “apocalypse” was volleyball/basketball player (like 2m tall - approx 6ft 7in tall) become 20m giantess with power to manipulate her original size 10 times up or down. However there is downside. Regardless of size she take her weight, durability and strength remains unchanged. You know since if you would compress like 1m of thick layer into 1cm it would be very hard.
Her strength of 20m giantess would remain even if she is only 20cm tall (because her weight of average 90,000 kg / 90 tons would remain same) and same goes her apetite. Considering average female needs 1600-2400 kcal per day, and that she would require 1000 times that amount (since her max size is 10 times in all 3 dimensions) it would mean her minimal intake is 1,600,000 kcal - which approx would mean that she needs to eat equivalent of 100 human sized preys (or equivalent of it) per day to not suffer. (For some convinience we could reduce that number to 5 explaining that maybe mutants have much higher calorie value for her - it could also be funny seeing her stuffed with cars/mutants yet being normal human size with humongous belly). It could lead to great side character or some kind of boss.
