Is that true? Dang, the more you know! I’m gonna have to do something with that, with Gretel and/or someone else in town.
Gretel probably doesn’t know her own birthday…but I guess Sebastian does? That said, there are already two upcoming town festivals/feasts coming up soon. The end of Steph’s fast and then Flowers day for couples. So Gretel’s B-Day might need to wait a bit! These are fun ideas though so I’ll keep them in mind.
It has been a bit since the last bet between Lily and Gretel. Since that came about the first time when Steph started her fast, it would be fitting if the next bet came about when Steph ends it. And Gretel trying to hold off from eating might be fun, since it may be surprising how used to eating she has become now.
We will be seeing Penny again soonish! Though things going ok well…
Sadly, we are in the “Sebastian must suffer” section of the story. Poor guy, he’s been stuck doing a spit take for months as I work on Atlas!
I am actually planning some Gretel and Heather fun soon!
Not to give spoilers, but let’s just say the chances of Gretel’s sister taking up belly dancing lessons is…unlikely. Still cute!
Maya actually will stay mostly thin through the story. Every town does need a feeder or two.
Sure, could be fun!
Gretel has sworn off violence, but I suppose an exception could be made for furniture gore.
Salad dressings aren’t quite as good, but they are liquid. The only problem I see with both of these ideas is that liquid calories don’t count.
That’s fine. I would have expected her to at least have a day she celebrates as they day she was born, but Cynthia WAS her mother. Such a celebration would be a sight to see. Also Gretel spending all day eating for L and Sebastian would be a present all would doubtless appreciate. I do hope when/if the scenes happen, there are big beautiful barrels of weight gain shake, for a big beautiful woman.
If Gretel wins the bet during Steph’s fast, she still has that hanging over L. It would be fitting if there was another one at the end. Also Gretel not eating for 24 hours would be fitting for the time she made L not have sex for a day.
Indeed it would be cute. That’s why I want to see it. Belly dancing would be nice to see with such big bellies. I’m curious why you say it’s unlikely, but I suspect it comes with the territory of being the Apostle of Gluttony. Such growing girls need to eat, and eat well. Muscle does weigh more than fat though.
I can’t help but feel as though something is missing.
Hmm, I would say I have a mental voice for most of the characters, but I wouldn’t know how best to describe them in text for most of them. As far for the main three, Gretel would be a mix between mom and gradeschool teacher, Lily would be youthful rebellion teen, and Sebastian with his “hmmms” would speak slowly and quietly.
Gretal is voiced by Grey DeLisle, doing a voice that means nobody notices her. Except when he eyes go red and she’s Grey DeLisle doing her Azula voice.
Lily is Kristen Schaal. Fits her too well.
Sebastian to me sounds like Robert Picardo as the EMH from Star Trek Voyager.
Kristen Schaal is indeed the most fitting! And I can see the other two, though I’m not quite sure if Sebastian would have the energy to pull off any opera singing!
Probably a combination of smug, hypnotic, and slightly…off.
Have you ever met someone who you really hit it off with at first, and they seem very charismatic and witty…but as you spend more and more time with them you start to realize their entire outward personality is faked?
@WaxeRed Will you be editing some of the facial changes for characters? i noticed that veronicas face doesn’t really change or get any rounder, same with Gretel, her face goes from skinny to extremely round, skipping any in-between stages.
Likely not, at least not for Gretel and Veronica. Gretel’s gains were rapid, hence the suddenly fatter face, and it is a character quirk for Veronica that she doesn’t gain much weight to the face.
For Sam, that was a rare case of Sebastian not lying! She did really hurt her ribs from falling out of a tree, (because of the four adventures) and later worsened her condition from falling in the lake.
So since they were miles away from town, with no easy path back across the snow covered ground, she would not have been able to walk back.
Since Spring she MIGHT have been able to walk, or be carried back, if she was careful. Buuuut Sam’s self imposed Pride that made her once want to leave the cave now keeps her in it. She gave her word to herself and her sisters that she wouldn’t leave the cave until she was fully healed, and that’s what she’ll do.
And of course against her protests to the contrary she has grown to enjoy her time with Sebastian and the snacks
i’ve been meaning to ask this for a while. its regarding sebastian’s powers.
how does his memory reading work? obviously he uses dreams as a medium but how does it work exctly? does he uses dreams to elicit memories? can he read the minds of people who are asleep unconditionally? or can he read the very soul of people? and would that imply that he is limited by what people believe their memories are? can brainwashing and memory editing affect his readings or can people protect their souls or minds against powers like his?
I came across the NursingPaper website, which offers 24/7 online help with nursing papers. The help is provided by academic nursing writers, I want to share my find with you
Good questions! So as you correct with your first statement, he uses dreams to elicit memories, meaning he can’t read the mind of anyone who is currently awake.
However, he can’t absorb an entire life’s worth of memories all at once. It’s very much like trying to piece together a puzzle missing several pieces and many pieces are quite blurry. Those being repressed memories people avoid, or old memories that people don’t often think about.
And on the flip side, recent memories, or memories people think of often are clear and easy to piece together.
This kind of patchwork memory viewing is why Sebastian’s view of Heather started a bit coldly, her most recent memories were her extorting Auburnwoods, but his treatment softened a bit after a few weeks when he managed to view a few of her repressed memories, growing up in harsh conditions as an orphaned child.
As for if brainwashing or memory altering could give Sebastian a false picture, I’d argue yes that could happen. Though I imagine a false memory would be easy to spot if done poorly.
As for a mind being protected, yes that’s also possible. Most easily by just staying awake! Beyond that, a strong mental fortitude and as As Crazy_thief322 and Yojumbo mentioned magical enchantments can also protect a person with Clair the Black being an expert on them, sloth especially. Jean Luc the immortal is also quite safe, his armor protects against mental attacks as well.
Are you convinced that Sebastian was a quiet nice kid who becomes a monster when pushed, or simply one who keeps his temper on an extremely tight leash?
