I bring you my first feederism game! I made it in Unity and rolled my own solution for it all. I used stable diffusion for all of the character art, with some manual tweaks in places. Other than AI art most of the other assets are Creative Commons Zero.
Deight Class is a resource management, stuffer focused, dating sim. It uses stable diffusion for all of its character art as well as a handful of free assets for things like UI and music. It’s currently in beta and still in development, but here’s a few of the features you can enjoy right now:
Talk sequences and dates with the two main love interests: Aerie and Lucy
Feed mechanic, with progressing weight thresholds for both Aerie and Lucy
Random events and storylines throughout the game featuring a quirky goblin tinkerer, a rather purple human scientist, a shy dryad shopkeeper, a fiery delinquent lashling and more.
Excited to see what comes from this, there’s a startling history of weight gain dating sims seeming to die before finish so I’m hoping this really becomes something special (despite some misgivings about AI art.) Also, cool to see VAs!. Will likely respond again after playing.
I really like this game one bug i found however is when you go to the dinner date with lucy and if you choose the option she can walk by herself it just freezes. Other then that i can’t wait to see more of this game
Hey thanks for the excitement! I’m thinking if it gets enough traction of making a patreon or something and putting the funds towards commissioning art to replace the AI art. I just don’t know any feederism artists and don’t currently have the funds to drop on a bunch of art commissions.
well this is a very good start to something fun the game loop petty as I have fun gong to class and dating the girls also like you can run it to new characters in some fun ways but I need away to got more money as some of the items in the shop are crazy Expensive and buying food cut in to funds but beside that this is a very good game that I would love to see what you have planed next.
Hey Fuzz, thanks for the comment! The oddity shop items aren’t currently functional so they’re not balanced as such. But I’m hoping to have them functional in the next couple weeks and it’ll come with a money balance.
Currently working on the Oddity Shop items! I’ll be trying to post consistent updates regularly for the next couple weeks. If you’re enjoying the game and want to have some input on what gets added next join the discord!
Any tips on where to find UI elements and such that are Creative Commons Zero? or generic things like inventory items or background images or other basically GUI elements?
You seem to know your stuff, since you actually know the term Creative Commons Zero which is more than I know
Ha! There’s a handful of sites but a lot of them suck. However, itch assets are usually good about listing their CC licensing. A lot of things are just attribution! If an asset is free, but doesn’t say. You can always reach out to the developer or contact the site owner depending.
I also notice that the flab grab effect in image 00341-2547157979 is beyond what AI’s usually give me in this regard, is there a belly grab lora you’re using?
Nope! No loras. Just trial and error. That image in particular I lucked out on pretty hard. If you want to join the discord I’m happy to share all of the things I’ve learned and what I’m using.
I’ve played a lot of WG games and I really enjoyed this one!
I think it has a ton of potential. I enjoyed the segment of going to a beach house for the weekend probably the most, it was really delightful.
-Also appreciate a WG Game in Imperial Units
-The Picture on the right side showing what they looked like beforehand at their skinniest weight
-All the different artwork for scenes (I get that it’s AI art but you still put in a lot of effort into adding a variety of pictures that stick with the consistency of the characters or the scene which is excellent. IDC that it’s AI art, it looks great.
Thanks for making this!
I’m looking forward to playing the final version one day.
Just to let you know I’ll be trying to post regular updates frequently, rather than a “full game” at any point. My eventual goal is to slowly replace the AI art with commissioned art to support artists in the community, but until then I’m going to be continuing to add new love interests, as well as more dates and events with current interests and side characters.
If you want to send me some suggestions or get frequent updates feel free to join the discord!
Open game, change volume settings, start game, play through two minor intro choices, quit program entirely, open program, volume settings are reset back to default. Load game, back to start of game.
One of the drawbacks of no save slots I suppose is that debugging the menu settings is a bit harder.
Although the menu itself has a save button, it doesn’t appear to do what I’d expect (and actually write my preferred settings to disk anywhere.)
Edit: Another option I’d love to see is instant text. As in each time a new set of text appears I’d like it to just appear, rather than slowly writing itself out. I get that slowly writing itself out is VN default…but VN default behavior for me and many players is to go to the menu right away and set text speed to max/instant.
I already know how to read a pacer only distracts me heh
Hey! I’ll take a look at the save issue. Thanks for reporting it. Although the text speed is something that I’ve done a bit hacky. If I were to make it print out altogether I think it might allow for skipping that’s too fast. Plus I have certain scenes where I want to force the player to wait and I think an instant text speed may break that?
I’ll put it on my To do list, but I’m not sure it’s feasible for what it’d add.
Edit: Yeah, I’ve totally rolled my own thing so I’d just have to engineer it myself. Definitely not impossible, I’ll add it as a stretch goal.
The volume settings aren’t saving properly and will be fixed in the next update. (I can’t push a fix for it now because I have a ton of new content I added today that isn’t quite ready! I should start branching in git)
