He is extremely cute and I’m hoping to see how this turns out for the other characters
Not sure if I will release animations WITH the next expansion or wait to work on them afterwards, but I do hope to make them. I also got more bugs to fix in the main game, though I think I got most of the big ones.
Been working ln the game slowly but steadily, lately. I do have this to show, as the ending to the first of three major levels, and the first time in the game the entire Earthquake Warriors group interacts with each other.
Still working on the game. I got tons of sprites to show, including some more Crushing Force cameos.

The first three, as well as Kazecat’s characters, will be midbosses for Greencario, Dobbins, Ricky and Bertha to fight alone respectively, but the big ugly Ochu looking creature, Groody Troody, is a joke boss. She’s actually the person who sends you to a new area, as she wants you to save the Grundylo grotto, her children, and the Florakin she’s allied with, and stop her angry, tyranical husband. However, if you try to talk to her after harming her child in a hostage fight, she will fight you in a battle you basically can’t win. It won’t result in a game over, though. She’s just punishing you.
Speaking of hostage fights, I’m trying to do some thorough playtestinf, and I’ve hit a snag.
I’m starting to wonder if my game isn’t screwed up. There’s several switches: one for each hostage in a fight, one for each enemy that adds to a variable and shuts off once an enemy is defeated, one that turns on when you harm a hostage, and so on. Here’s my problem: it’s not working with some of my hostage fights. I beat all the enemies I need to, and nothing happens. I keep checking the switches and events, and nothing appears to be incorrect. At first, I thought the hostage switch got turned off somewhere, but that switch is needed for when you accidentally harm a hostage, and that particular event works. Heck, I harm the hostage after defeating everyone, then right after, not only does the event where he yells at you for harming him play out, but after that, so does the end-of-battle event where he is upset that you hurt him, so he denies you the prize. So, I tried changing the hostage switch, try again, beat up all the enemies, it STILL doesn’t work, decide to attack the hostage to trigger the end of battle message, somehow miss, and…
Hostage: Thank you for rescuing me! Here’s a brand new move!
WHAT!? NOW IT WORKS!?! I just… I don’t… Why? There isn’t even a way to make it so you HAVE to target the hostage in order for this to work! Why does it ONLY work if I target the hostage!? WTF!?

And here’s the final Mid-Boss of part 2: Drimogemarcus’s midboss. Not surprisingly, it’s another boss that makes use of Marcus’s stone traps. However, after stubbing or stepping on the traps three times, this boss will shift into a flying state, negating further trap damage.
I like to balance out the quirks in my game by giving both sides certain ones. Like, it’s a fatfur game, so both goodguys and badguys will have quite a lot of them. There’s tons of big-footed enemies, but I also have a few big-footer playables, with Balikari’s GG form kind of having that going for him, and Papa Tumpton, who will adopt a big-feet motif at the end of his arc in part 1. There’s also trunks, which Pink Elephant displays proudly, especially with his final phase, but so do Toasty and Mambo. I know trunks aren’t a common quirk, but they are for me. Trunks are so cool.
And speaking of a different kind of “trunk”: Bertha and Julian.

I thought I would release a sample of the first expansion a little early. I wanted get some more bug fixes I missed out there, and while I still don’t promise I got everythibg, I have been doing more play-testing, lately. Included is the base game and the first level of the expansion. I’m still working on level two and I haven’t started on level 3, yet.
You might want to set the sharing mode to “anyone with the link can access” on that. otherwise you will need to go through access requests individually for anyone who wants to play the game…
Woops! Sorry about that.
Been taking a break on this game, lately. It doesn’t seem like many people are interested in the game, and I’ve been trying to advertise the game on YouTube, but still not many downloads.
I tried the update, got an old save where i had finished the original story but the character at the hub says anyone in my team is smelling like alchool and wont interact, if i try another it says they dont have the skills and needs to go to the arena, tough i cant remember where its located and the portal stone doesnt seem to have a portal to there. Let me know how i can proceed.
You need to talk to him with Leonard after Leonard has learned all his skills in both forms, and after you’'ve talked to him in the bedroom. There’s two arenas. One is in the hub area, but the second one is in the lab. Teleport to the Lab entrance then go up till you reach the door to the final level, go into the room on the right, and if you have the potion that lets you travel through the drain, use it on the shower and it will take you to the second arena where you can learn BellyBellyBombQuake and a character’s fifth move if they obtain enough points. In previous updates, your character had to turn red before they learned BellyBellyBombQuake. Now, they simply have to beat the second arena to learn it.
Since i never used Leonard on my team i dont have a lot of moves for him, the shop doesnt seem to sell them, is it only from random drops?
Some of his items should be available in the shops, though some are dropped by enemies, given by hostages or found in crates. For example, the room south of Grubtooth’s fight in the lab, the room with all the broken glass, has rat hostages that give you your leader’s 4th item.
As for the break, I’m starting to get motivated to work on it again. I’m hoping I can finish the expansion before fall.
Bought all the items in the shop and Aroma, beat both arenas with scores of like 3500 points and saved the hostages that i remember that could be found and im posting the skills i have with Leonard. Im willing to try and get the missing skills to be able to advance but please let me know what im missing and where to get them or else i cant do it anymore.
Now that you metion that could you perhaps add an npc that gives you hints about where items to get skills or other plot relevant things are? Like the guy you talk to at the beggining for example, if you go up to him with a certaing character you can ask where their moves are?
For regular Leonard, all you are missing is MESH Claw. The best way to obtain this is to go to the room in the first level where you found Green Hugger. In that room, roam around ybtil you enchounter a hostage situation. Clear the hostage fight without harming any hostages to get an item associated with the first member of your group. Make Leonard the leader to get the Claw Install Chip.
For Max MESH Leonard, you need MESH Schlurp. This can easily be obtained by roaming around Big Matt’s abode until you encounter a Red/Pink hugger. Transform for the Red/Pink hugger to get MESH Schlurp.
Going to say this, both moves are strong. MESH Claw is an AOE that ignores hostages, allowing for easy clearance of hostage fights. MESH Schlurp is an AOE that both stuns and DOTs the oposing team.
Getting the skills with your guidance was super quick, maybe to help others in the future, make an npc with information like what might be missing and where, it can help a lot.
Tough even with the skills completed, the machine says positive for both forms but when talking with Bink, he still refuses. When i check the machine for GG Forms skills next to Big Matt, Leonard says something about fighting a Hippo Girl. If its something i still need to do, let me know as im not sure where to do it, if its that i need to do next.
Alright, I can put a few NPCs in the game to give clues. ![]()
There is actually one last thing you need to do. In the bedroom, disband your team, choose your leader to be anyone EXCEPT Leonard, then talk to Leonard in the bedroom and accept his quest, then finally talk with Bink. I should probably add an indicator to the game telling the player this, as well. Sorry about that.
Was able to finally get to advance to the new area, tough all doors except Leonard are locked and from what i understand i have to do the same process of getting all skills with them and i need to have them as the leader to get them to drop, right?
Correct. For now, all you have to worry about are Toasty, Balikari, Mambo and Tumpton, but the current build should also include Bertha’s level in Grundylo Grotto. I kinda did this to encourage usage of all the characters to allow players to get more milage out of them.
Also, the expansion update will have fox NPCs telling you about key places to find hostages that will gove you goodies, and pillars in the expansion levels displaying who is required for each section.
