Eat The Dungeon General Discussion

Got enough weight ready to upgrade the Illusionist to be on par upgrade wise with the other adventurers (except warrior. I don’t really like her so her stats are still all at one.)

dont you think that 162k is going a bit overboard.

Considering her abysmal starting damage, attack pattern and confirmed recovery time, I’m personally not sure it’s enough.

It probably is enough, base stats don’t matter that much with enough upgrades + support from other characters
Illusionist’s “gimmick” is terrible base stats, but an amazing offensive attack

No. I did the calculations to find out that i’d need that much. There are three main ways i upgrade adventurers: one for single target attacking adventurers, one for adventurers for adventurers with at least 1 support ability, and one for AOE attackers. I’m going with the third way for the illusionist. At the time I took the screenshot, the next upgrade for the witch was 1800. To find out how much i need I added 4+5+6+7+8+9+10 and so on up to 179 and multiplied that by 10 since the starting cost is 40 and it increases by 10 each upgrade.

New update comes out, I get to play around with the new character, and then BOOM, power outage, all progress reset.

So are we ever gonna get some sort of save feature? Even if it’s just a CSV sheet that we have to download and store locally and then load into the page when we want to restore the save it would be enough to prevent losing all progress when the unthinkable happens. It would also allow transferring progress across devices.

i agree with you, the same thing happened to me once.

I may be wrong and I’ll for sure be corrected, but the game stores your progress as cookies. So if you’re playing in incognito more or clear your browser cookies, it won’t save progress.

I know, and I play on a normal browser window, but my browser tends to lose cookies if it gets closed unexpectedly.

I think we can add a save feature like that at some point, but right now I’m not sure where I’d put it in the schedule yet

Well, after digging around with the Inspector I found the local storage file. Now I’m just trying to figure out exactly where it is stored so I can make backups of it.

So while a dedicated save function would be nice, I have found a temporary workaround.
