Same thing on Google Chrome, but I think my currency is lower than what it should be before.

Edit: Ah, never mind about the currency being lower, that was what I already had in the bank.

Same here, everything but stored weight got wiped.

Edit: In fact, I can’t change the values like you showed be before. I can’t leave the level up screen!

Edit2: Okay so, to test, I edited the values and such on another link, refreshed, and that seems to have broken it. The buttons act like I can click on them, but nothing happens when I do. Seems like it’s half on the extraction screen and half on the map screen. Very strange.

I have fixed the issue everyone was having with the game. The website host did not upload on one of the JS files properly. So I had to re-upload it. I’m sorry I did not catch it, this was an issue with the website host

You may have to delete your browser’s cache in order to get the new fix.

Hey I’m a professionnal dumbass, so I haven’t found out how to obtain the new characters ( besides the bard that is) I’m returning to this game after a while of absence and I’m impressed by how great it has become! But yeah, I’m still stoopid so can somebody please tell me how I can use the other new characters?

You unlock them by getting a certain rank (B rank iirc) or higher on certain levels. For the spellblade it’s the gingerbread castle level, for the knight it’s the bread dojo, and for the illusionist its the haunted house level

Despite all of my changes to settings, I have once again lost all my progress on game update. I have made sure that the site has all privacy and safety permissions, and that the url is exactly the same every time. Still lost all progress, starting back at the tutorial after refreshing for the new version.

Sorry if I asked you this already, but what browser and privacy settings are you using?

Firefox. My privacy settings normally wipe all of a website’s data when all tabs in a window are closed, or when the only tab is refreshed (browser seems to treat refreshing as closing and opening), but I added all of the bewilderedgames urls to the exception list so that the data should never get wiped.

It also only happens if I refresh after an update, which makes me think it has to be something to do with the updates, as I can refresh at any other time and it works just fine.

One potential fix would be a function that would turn the save data into a .csv (or put values on the clipboard to be pasted into a .csv) that could then be fed back into the game to replace the save data, so that we could back up our save before updating. Since the game uses java, and the save data seems to be a simple non-nested table, a .csv shouldn’t be too hard to implement.

Yeah along with the class poll I want to update the save/load system so its more robust and can handle failure states more gracefully. I think adding the ability for saving/loading files might be part of that

Love this game so much! One little bit of feedback however is that it’s kinda dissappinting that after like a weight of 1000, the adventurer’s pictures stop changing. I get that you can’t just make a ton more art for each one, but what about adding one more absolutely massive picture for if you get up to 10000, just for those particularly dedicated players?

while on a personal level I can never disagree with more images I do worry that such a hit could be a fix, ā€œwhat about gigantic 20000 for those really dedicated playersā€ ā€œwhat about plantetoid at 100000 for the most dedicated playersā€ ect, especially as more levels that give more weight are added numbers will probably be far more achievable, if the levels are truly built and done and the weights call for images I show no real quarrels if more are decided but at this point I dont really think more weight levels would be a good idea here especially with the full content scope for the actual game part being unfinished, but that is just my player opinion

Yeah like at a certain point its gotta end. The more weight levels I’m supporting means the slower everything else can get done. I’ll be able to reconsider this after v0.12 when the game will more or less have all the features I’m planning on putting into it, and I’ll just be working on content

i agree and a point like that should not exist
if it does spell blade would become literally god at that point
she is already powerful and we should not give her more power

I really enjoys the game and the artwork, but I’ve noticed that the older ones were quite different. Is there ever gonna be a function to on the older sprites? Maybe you would get it from completing the game or something.

I’ve also uploaded a small update to ETD aimed towards reducing the frequency of saves being deleted and overwritten. If everything goes well, this should eliminate the issue almost entirely.

Never noticed this with other character voting until now, but Druid is kinda just Witch but with better offence (an extra attack type), and same AOE, but without the range, which is interesting because Witch’s range actually complements her AOE quite well. (Not that I’m saying I want Druid to win, because I don’t. We really don’t need another magic attacker, and if you want my honest opinion, Witch is kinda outclassed the way things are now).
