I considered it at one point, but as far as I can tell it’s kind of a hassle to do in rpgmaker mv (swapping enemies with others in response to player action), so I figured just having escalating enemy sizes would suffice.
Believe me, I want it, and I won’t rule out trying to implement in the future, but it’s also not a huge priority.
If I could make a suggestion, at a certain point it becomes a real big hassle to try to capture smaller enemies since their hp pools are so small and the capture range is so restrictive. I would suggest either giving the ability to instantly capture enemies a certain amount smaller than your characters or raising the cap on at least the skinny characters.
Reporting that Penny is also still broken and can’t be recruited, same for the Cult quest line because their cult agent can’t be found in the apartments anywhere.
There is also a room at the first floor in the apartments building that gets bugged, it should let you in at lvl 25 but once you reach that level it bugs out (I’m guessing that’s where the Cult agent is?).
Skein’s quest line is still bugged but cleareable and she’s recruitable, but once you recruit her she doesn’t change sprite or comments when levelling up and reaching level milestones (I’ve levelled her up till 50).
Charity is also still bugged and after getting her eaten/liquified/etc. she will reappear in the Penthouse everytime and that can be exploited for easy level ups over and over, sharing moves, etc. This exploit is kinda cool to have I’ll be honest, consider leaving it in the game? lol
A minor visual bug is how NPC fatties like Carmen and Rumia just glide over the ground instead of having a walking cycle animation.
I wanted to add as a personal remark that traveling is mildly annoying and time consuming in the game atm: the rate of random encounters seems to be a bit high at times and there are a lot of places to go and be, some quests forcing you to go back and forth between places as well and the areas layouts are pretty big. It would be ideal to have an item that allowed to skip random encounters, either that or have “Fatty Power” let you fast travel from one area to another?
Overall I really enjoyed what I was able to play so far and how the game is evolving and fleshing out, the story is fun, the characters are entertaining and the whole rework was a huge improvement from the previous system, not to count how much content you added in this update.
Thank you for making this wondeful game about fatties eating fatties
about the length of the map, I agree, but if I’m not mistaken, the developer plans to add buses. I also noticed the expolit with Charity) I also remember writing about a broken owned cat that endlessly gives money without taking anything in return in the first phase. a room that you can enter from level 25 works for me, but when I leave it, for some reason it returns me to the first phase
Other than that idk if changes anything but he doesn’t say anything it just acts like he was not talked to now it acts like I haven’t delivered it when I did so I have to restart due to saves facepalm
I’m not sure if you knew this already or not but the eating party members on the game with the Main character always makes the game think that it’s Rachel every single time whenever you try using the mirror not sure if anyone else has had that problem or it’s just me
Hmm. I’ll have to look at that. The party eating mechanic got really complicated with the skill inheritance thing and reversal mechanics, so it’s possibly still really borked.
I actually tested upgraded versions of the WEAK skills that would unlockable/acquirable after you used the parent skill enough times, but temporarily shelved if to do, well, the rest of the build.
Looking back, that might be what set my game to phase 1 as well; Kui was on level 26 when it happened, and since entering the room kicks you up one level, that could very well have been the trigger. Hopefully this helps narrow down the problem.
