I fixed it but think it depends on the joi play version one have, some games might work in some versions

It was a v0.2 save file. Could be related to what @immunogobling noted above.
I was also unable to interact with any of the characters I met, I forget their names but they were the fitness instructor and Cat’s alt girl friend
Those 2 characters aren’t implemented yet, that was just a teaser for them. There were a couple ways to trigger a story event twice in 0.2 that should be fixed in 0.2a, but i’m also adding checks and functions to unbreak the game if this does happen again in future, thanks for reporting it!

Iam currently playing the demo and how do i unlock the 6th character? I have completed all 3 stages for the rest of the characters
The 6th is in version 0.2 not in the demo.

Will choosing a choice that does not support weight gain affect the future in this latest version?

0.3 will introduce the first few big player choices that have a major impact on the storyline(s) and what content you will be able to see. 0.2 might hint at this but none of it is fully implemented.

love the game, finished all of 0.3 just now. I gotta ask though, what’s up with the hidden character? feels odd for their to be a ??? in the middle of the list
