The game is amazing and for me personally it pushes all the right buttons. The pixel art is very good and cute, dialogue is corny, which is perfect for that kind of game.
Collecting fairies as trophies is a cool idea of a carrot on a stick.
One complaint I have is all the busy work with the dryads. Some forms of automation, be it sprinklers or putting that useless little imp to work and make her harvest the fruits of my labor, would be cool. Or i don’t know, make the fat fairies roll through the crops like boulders and shake them down.
This is a request of the void, as in i truly see it going no where, but im a god damn prude god damn itd be nice to have a button to swap sprites so genitalia arent shown (do like breasts tho)
I dont know why, and really it is your game and seems it could be a game of the people. None the less i will be here as no where a voice of authority, no majority support for it. Otherwise really liked the demo and hope it goes well for you man. Like your stuff on the whole.
Fun demo you’ve got here, and I don’t know if I’m the only one to think this, but could there be A weight stage in between the current ones like skinny to chubby to fat instead of skinny to fat and so on
This game is incredible. The visual style, animations, and character designs are high-quality and adorable. The gameplay loop is pretty addictive. I’m playing the current “stable” version and enjoying the experience, though I think I could be nearing the end of the current content. I am close to achieving the single goal I am aware of that is driving the story, and then I guess I will find out.
I have a very small number of issues thus far. The first is it crashes on me constantly. I have tried a variety of solutions, but I can’t figure out what the issue is. I get no error messages when it happens, the game just freezes and closes. I have a decent amount of experience troubleshooting the performance of games, but I can’t figure out what the problem is here on my own. Sometimes the game runs for a half hour without a problem. Sometimes I can’t get it to stay open for more than 30 seconds at a time for an extended period. I’m just trying to save the game after everything I do.
Another issue for me is the (blurring in case specific gameplay mechanics are considered spoilers) feeding mini game. If you like to see the cow girls with stuffed bellies, you don’t really want to engage with it after the first weight stage. Their stomach capacity gets so huge that if I continually reset it by pursuing combos, I run out of food when they are still hungry, which they complain about. Obviously this doesn’t reduce their weight gain, but I never see them full. I have stopped playing and just erase the board before making any connections so I can get them properly stuffed. I am buying and making food as quickly as I can with dryads of every kind and keeping the gold flowing from milk and gambling, but I still run out of things to feed a girl with before they get stuffed if I play the mini game.
I have also found the dryads are a bit too needy. I have just one of each kind producing food/ingredients, but if I didn’t make myself walk away I could easily spend all my play time with them, because they’d always need something. Without reducing the diligence required by the player much, I think their conditions could deteriorate a little slower, and their production at harvest could increase. But maybe that’s just me.
Any other thoughts I have about the game’s current state are probably best entrusted to the development process. I am excited to see what else you have in store!
Firstly, regarding the crashes, that’s so odd. This is the first time I’m hearing about someone having consistent crashes with no error message. I’m assuming you’re running the game on a windows system and not Linux or anything, correct?
Secondly, as for consistently finding food, the full gameplay loop isn’t finished to any degree at the moment, so overall, (unless you’re cheating and selling materials to just buy food from Candace), it’s hard to consistently produce enough food for them.
However, in the main version of the game, Holly sells an alcohol that remedies this by keeping them bloated for as long as you give them occasional doses of it c:
Also! As far as dryads, once they’re fully grown, you can stop tending to their needs constantly. While they’ll yield SLIGHTLY less often if their needs aren’t satisfied, it primarily makes them grow quicker. Even with zero tending, they’ll still consistently produce crops so you can just come by and harvest them and be on your way!
I’m running the game in windows 11, nothing weird. I bet it’ll fix itself when you release a new version, I’m not too worried. I’m pretty sure I’ve experienced all the content so far anyway.
I did realize there’s a beer to help with fullness if that’s what I want. Eventually when the ladies got real large their milk production enabled me to purchase a consistent supply of cake for them, so the problem also relieved itself later in that way. I’m sure this will all be refined over time.
That’s really good to know about the dryads. I was giving them more attention than they needed at their maximum size.
Thanks for responding, and please keep up the great work!
The demo was very fun to play, very hyped for a full release.
Some suggestions for mechanics I find to be fun for this game:
1)If, after performing ‘pleasure’ on a dryad, she receives more affection than her bar can take, she will orgasm, dropping some resources immediately. This would reward players for taking good care for their dryads (for this to work right, dryads should also lose affection slower, so it would be possible for player to fill their bars fast enough, for them to get overfilled).
2)It would be cool to have even bigger dryads. Perhaps once per x days, big dryads will enter a bloom phase, during which their affection will grow slightly every second, and if big dryads of the same type are adjacent to each other during bloom, they will start kissing each other and, at the end of the day, morph into one huge dryad, which would take space of two dryads at once. Technically, here you can also add something like a breeding mechanic, mixing two different dryads into a new type, but this probably would be too much work with how many new dryads this would require to add.
