I’m cracking away at the full version with all the things I’ve learned in python right now.
My code is still pretty baby but it’s somewhat less baby than before and it’s coming along!

I’m gunna release an early version 0.1 as soon as I have it at least playable to the content of the demo plus it will have character customization and more variety and daily activities, and the story and characters will actually be written.

After that I’ll be doing some branching paths and slowly adding more and more content based on feedback. Full version 1.0 will be when I have an explorable planet with mild combat and such. (I hope y’all like animated vines and slime monsters lmao)

I hadn’t really intended to add sound but if that’s something people are interested in, I could certainly do so for a future update. I am pretty sure I do know how to include sound files in RenPy already, so I’ll keep it on the list and gauge interest. ^-^

Got it! I’m just curious that’s all. Even without any sound, the ever-changing description you have rn is enough for me.

There’s already a lot of good signs in here. There seems to be ā€˜protection’ against outgrowing size 10 max clothing, I didn’t encounter any errors where I got too big to function or to make something happen, and the description system was functional but not overwhelming or repetitive. This is a very good start with some thoughtful guard-rails in place.

I dont usually leave messages on any of the forums posts but goddamn for a demo I really love this. It really has that feeling of all those inspired games you mentioned. Please please I beg you continue working in this lmao and I say you should focus fully on the forced-feeding/unwilling weight gain aspects! You rarely see that kind of themes on any recent game as far as I can tell.

My only real complain is that the game loop becomes pretty stale kinda quick due to lack of events or interactions. Do you have future plans in regards to these? like for example, one of the Bug type alien feeders suddenly crossing with the player as they wander around the streets, etc.

Hello! Thanks very much for trying it out and for the kind words.
I honestly feel like there’s such a dearth of good force/unwilling content especially in the game landscape, so that will predominately be the focus. I don’t think it’ll take much away to at least allow players the option to consent if they prefer it that way but as far as storytelling and descriptions go it’ll definitely cater to my own interests haha.

I do indeed have lots of future plans! I’m working on the actual game on a new file and rebuilding everything from the ground up. I went from knowing basically 5 things in RenPy to some more intermediate Python code in about a week recently because I’ve really been pouring myself into developing these mechanics, and as a result I know how to create way more content now than I did when I was putting together the demo. The demo was really just the absolute basic idea/foundation and no frills to see if I could get it to work at all (and if anyone else was interested in it).

The full version will have a lot more stuff to do. Current plans for 0.1 of the full game are to have new places to discover in the world, the ability to meet and interact with about 6-7 NPCs I’ve had written up for a while for this project, (some of which are there to feed you and some are there to shame you/humiliate you) and more interactive mechanics during club scenes/feeding encounters. The bug type aliens are one of three major story paths I’m planning to include, so yes there will certainly be encounters outside the club as well.

The ultimate goal for me to consider the game roughly ā€˜finished’ (although I’ll likely still want to update it with some new features or expand on certain things afterwards) will be for the player to be able to explore a nearby terrestrial body (moon/planet type thing) and have light combat/monster encounters. There’s a few posts in this thread where I talk about some of these things if you wish to read up on them. ^-^

The response so far has been very encouraging so I’m quite motivated to finish it and flesh out the things I wanted to include. I’m not sure when 0.1 will be finished but I’ll post it as soon as it is. Right now I’m focusing on getting the mechanical/mathematical aspects just right so I can build out from there and easily add in events and encounters, it will probably need a bit of play-testing as well to make sure things perform at the pace I want. Thanks again! I’ll be updating this thread with progress regularly.

Strong agree. We need more MCs that aren’t excited by the idea of becoming fat. From what I’ve been hearing about this game, if you end up adding an option for a female PC, you’ll have made my perfect game. Of course, if you don’t that’s also okay. I’d be a hypocrite if I went around asking devs to make content they don’t want to make.

BUT you may be happy to know the female PC option is already in my new build :3
(The one I haven’t yet finished and released yet to be clear)
Wasn’t really too hard to create a simple system to change up pronouns and a few identifiers actually. There IS apparently some sort of widget or module or something out there someone’s made for MC pronouns but I learned a lot more by just making my own.
It won’t be super detailed on anatomy or anything (for either gender) and there are some female-specific gameplay paths I’m sure people would like but those will have to come in a future update.
Last night I managed to get my customizable wardrobe options to work as well so you can even buy dresses and stuff (and then outgrow them) when I get the full game to a playable state.

I ALSO had a lot of fun with Lipomancer’s Ruins, excited to see more content in that setting.

For sure, Abducted is a huge influence for me wanting to make a game like this. I still play through that one from time to time (and plus ofc).
I know these winds can be hella fickle of course so here’s to hoping for the both of us haha <3

Is it a bug or you cant get over 848 pounds witout cheats?

800 is currently the limit, if you can manage getting to 848 with cheats there’s not any content for that yet.
However the weight limit in the full version is going to be a good bit higher.

I still do want a more realistic experience with large weights however, this won’t really be the sort of game where you can still walk at 2k pounds or anything, but there will be alternate gameplay options once I get to writing and programming them out.

Hey guys!
I just wanna let you know I’m alive, a lot of stuff changed in my life and I’m moving in a couple weeks, but after that I should have more time to work on games and stuff so I plan to get back to finishing Gravity

I made a lot of progress over the last few months though, almost all the features I wanted for an official build have been worked out and implemented, but I want to tweak some things that I’m not fully satisfied with, I still have some writing to do for actual story/dialogue stuff, and I would like to streamline/clean up some code.

Probably after I move when I start working on it again I can figure out when it’ll probably ā€˜launch’. Thank you all for your patience and encouragement <3
