Okay, I tried to update the mod, but some parts of the model were completely missing. Sadly, I’m not a pro in Blender either and can only update models that already have everything set and ready to do so. I hope someone can fill in the missing parts for you.
Thanks, I appreciate the effort. It most likely reuses other parts from the same bodies that are also in the default version of the mod, since it required the base mode to be loaded first to work. It’s unfortunately not a standalone mod
The mods are broken again so all the Mods above this point are broken and no longer work
If you want a mod wait for the modders to fix the model so it is playable
No more fatdivers, this is a sad day for liberties fattest :[
big news: on the main HD2 modding community discord they just released a near-universal patching tool (found under announcements). tested it some and can confirm that it works, but as stated in the announcement - “note that the repatcher is not a silver bullet and it will not always work in every scenario such as any mods that have previously made mods using ID swapping, cannot be repatched through this tooling. Mod authors will have to manually fix their mods if the repatcher does not fix them.”
go to the github from the discord, download and run the .exe, then select the data folder found in F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2. it’ll close temporarily, then (for arsenal) you select whichever mod folder you want from C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\hd2arsenal\mods (or wherever you chose to install hd2arsenal). it should tell you how many patch files are being…patched…and then you’re good to go. if you never removed the mod from your arsenal profile then you shouldn’t need to do anything further; otherwise go import it from that folder
if people could still upload patched versions (with appropriate permission) so we don’t each have to independently fix everything, it’d be very much appreciated (especially long term). in the meantime the process should be much faster and easier afaik. i’ll try to test some of the very old mods that had been left behind tomorrow
ideally the only thing for them left is to colab with the modmanager to have a button that just does the patching for you, but the tool just released so I bet that integration will come at some point
Thats awesome the chonkdivers faction discord have already informed of the great news.
do I patch the \Helldivers 2\data folder, THEN patch the hd2arsenal\mods folder, exactly as you said? Or do I move the mods I want patched into the \Helldivers 2\data folder, then run the patch?
I did exactly as you said, but it didn’t work.
[EDIT]: Nevermind, I’m just an idiot.
Deploy mods through hd2 Arsenal, then run the patcher.
both ways seems to work just fine
I selected the vanilla data folder and patched the hd2 arsenal mods folder then deployed the mods
just make sure to move the non skin mods first. The patcher seems to break those mods and make the game crash even if they are the updated versions already
Notes after testing the patcher:
I don’t think it matters whether you’ve deployed the mods or not; I initially assumed you’d need to purge them in order to have a clean reference for the patcher but I’ve had no issues either way.
Seems like mods that add entirely new meshes (such as the Hellhound mods) are prone to invisibility/flickering, shadow bugs, and crashes while playing. Idk if the mesh thing is actually relevant - just a pattern I’ve noticed. SEAS has also had missing parts on the brawny body, but appeared fine in the customization menu. I did get the old DireDivers mod going without issue tho.
I have not yet tested all my downloaded weight variants; only my favorites. No issues found with them so far at least.
Make sure you patch the same mod version you’re actually planning to use, preferably by using “show in folder” within arsenal and then taking the AR_________ code from the folder name to then use when searching in the patcher. Somehow I picked the wrong one and proceeded to spend an hour cycling my mods trying to find out what was still outdated.
Also apparently v0.2.3 had some issues and has since been reverted; I’ve stayed on v0.2.2 personally
Oh also, on the topic of DireDivers/Hellhounds - was there ever a tail made for them (not bugs)? The supply pack ones from DD work well elsewhere (and have physics) but they sit too low on the bigger models here ![]()
Does this still exist/ did it ever exist?
How would one find a link to join the discord?
modding community server
that’s the discord
Not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve been noticing some weirdness with the legs (notably the thighs) of the 2x Cinderblock in comparison to the other armors within that bundle.
Fixed leg armor i don’t know why it was moved…
I kinda saw a screenshot of someone using a fatty bugdiver model, don’t suppose you fine enjoyers of chonk know where i can find the mod? (I wouldn’t know if the links throughout the thread is up to date so any info is appreciated <3)
Thanks for the update. However, it now seems to be causing crashes on startup for me
I fixed the B-27 Thicc version by mesh fixing tool here’s link 13.5 MB file on MEGA
are you using Unit Mod Repatcher v0.2.4 from Helldivers 2 Modding Community Discord?
