Oof, sorry for the lack of communication, its been a heck of a time lately battling illness, loss of a family member, lots of life stuff and then you know, the whole existential election garbage induced anxiety lol

Anyways, away from all that.
I’ve just updated the supporter version of the game and so I’m also updating the public version to the previous build ~

Version 0.21.0 - (09/23/24)


Additions

  • Added new item, Astral Pearl. A rare food item found in the astral sea that can increase players lucidity, resonance and dream spall. Can be sold for a high price. These can be found in a rare event while swimming in the astral sea
  • Added a new encounter to the astral sea with the Cloudfish, a new creature that can ensare the player. For players with higher levels of lucidity there is also some additional dialog options with her and another bad end
  • Lexi has a couple new pieces of dialog when asked about Evangeline, the anchor or her name after the cloudfish encounter.
  • Added a toggle for drugs and intoxicants, currently this only really affects the scaly moss
  • The feast queens curse can now be resisted at the start, this will count players lucidity levels against their gluttony. Successful resistance allows a milder version of the curse and lets the player continue uninterrupted. Failing to resist will result in one of three “punishments” from the feast queen. Submitting will lead to the original curse effect scene.
  • Having high enough lucidity will unlock “whispers” when items are examined allowing for extra details and observations the player normally wouldn’t know.
  • Added two new TF sets, cat and fox liminals
  • Added a new item; Fox-fire flower, a vulpine TF item
  • Fox-fire flowers can now be found when exploring the meadow at night in a new scene. Standing in the swirling flowers too long will unlock an encounter with a kitsune woman and her night ritual
  • Added a new item; Cattail pods, a feline TF item
  • Cattail pods can now be found at the milk river encounter in the Meadow
  • Added some new art assets for the Feast-Queen and the start of the Foxfire scene
  • Improved species detection system and added several combination and intermidate species names for the various TFs
    ~ the introduction and lexi’s description page now include new art assets, improved lexi’s description as well
    ~ Added new art assets for the items: foxfire flower, strange dumpling, mystery meat, astral pearl and the autosklava canteen

~ Updated credits page to include top supporters
~ rewrote the roadmap page
~ Renamed the Red Abbess, Amelie to The Red Abbess, Acacia because we already have Amelie Roux, oops lol
~ The mutagen list page now displays an asterisk next to TFs that are implemented in the game to make it more clear what’s current and future content. Additionally added a few more future mutations to the list
~ More items can be purchased from the Oojinn junk merchant
~ Some of the hub locations make mention of the time of day more directly
~ Increased the affects of the breast expansion status effect as well as added addition effects to the galactogue status
~ Adjusted lexi’s description scene
~ Added missing claw and paw descriptions
~ Changed version number tracking to a more standard format as suggested by Cuddlefiend
~ Most bad ends now have more effects on player’s vice levels

Additions

  • Added a new art asset for the black ambrosia item
  • Added two new thoughts to the thoughts system, shrinking and getting taller. Each can have a minor passive affect on the player’s height over time
  • Added another thought, breast growth, this will have very minor effects on breast growth
  • Added a short encounter in the harbor where the player can occasionally hear gaurds bantering about the player. This will account for the player’s weight and species
  • Added a new encounter to the shore that leads into a new region that’ll be flesh out later. For now there is an encounter with two harpies guarding a castletown gate. The harpies can be talked to and if offered will enjoy the player’s body as a blood offering
  • Added a new encounter to the grotto where the player can find a mysterious doll. Interacting with the doll can cause a bad end, otherwise the doll can be taken and sold
  • Added art assets for royal jelly, wilderberries and broodbeast oocytes
  • Most items can now be consumed in multiples at once. Expect there to be some inconsistencies here for now
  • Kip can now be hugged which changes according to her weight. She will on occasion also request hugs from the player spontaneously
  • Lexi and Maeve can now be asked about strixen after the north coast encounter
  • Added a few new backgrounds. There is now a default back ground, a dreamweaving background and a bad end background
  • Added a new art asset for Blair’s encounter

~ Species now have an overtype for simplification on some checks, human, neph, liminal or kindred
~ Updated the harbor’s background image
~ The autosklava canteen can now be fully emptied if the player’s stomach capacity is greater than the canteen’s content

Hi: I’ve been thinking if its possible to add some sound effects based on stats/effects/event? smth like what elysium did?

Nice! New stuff. Do most of the regions even have a day night cycle? I feel like a large fraction of them don’t even see the sky

I might be stupid, but since the game has vore as a tag, can the player vore creatures?

also, can the player join the other Melapoids once they’ve gotten roughly 95% Melapoid through mutagen?

Not right now iirc but I do know you can get vored by npcs

So I am having some issues with version V0.21.4, in which I’ve encountered a bug that sets my character’s vitality to “NaN”, which messes with a few game mechanics like dreamweaving. I’m not quite sure how to replicate it however since the only thing of note I can remember is that it occurred after changing my character’s clothing. I had to dig through the code a bit in order to actually find a command that could reset character vitality which is “<<set $player.vitality.current = 100>>” in case you are having the same issue I was.

Other than that this is a very well made and a genuinely interesting game from writing and world building perspective. I applaud the effort and creativity that has been poured in to the project and I can’t wait for new updates!

I encountered the same problem, but I was able to fix it at the med-station in the swamp. For some reason your solution didn’t work for me. I think it happened around the time I put on the Melmatrian Robes, but I’m not sure.

I did notice a bug with the most recent patreon version, and I assume it exists in the current public one as well-giving in to the queen of feasts gives food and calories proportional to your max fullness in an uncapped formula-I ended up with a weight of e86 before I decided I was getting a bit silly. The other options of resisting or pretending to resist, win or lose, does not give this result.

Did you include the angled brackets “<<>>”? Commands won’t work without them because I retried what I had commented and it worked for me.

Well the only thing that might be that your max health isn’t equal to 100, so you can do <<set $player.vitality.max = 100>> and then <<set $player.vitality.current = 100>>

My maximum vitality was 150.25. That must have been the problem. Thanks.
