- The feast queens curse can now be resisted at the start, this will count players lucidity levels against their gluttony. Successful resistance allows a milder version of the curse and lets the player continue uninterrupted. Failing to resist will result in one of three âpunishmentsâ from the feast queen. Submitting will lead to the original curse effect scene.
- Having high enough lucidity will unlock âwhispersâ when items are examined allowing for extra details and observations the player normally wouldnât know.

So I am having some issues with version V0.21.4, in which Iâve encountered a bug that sets my characterâs vitality to âNaNâ, which messes with a few game mechanics like dreamweaving. Iâm not quite sure how to replicate it however since the only thing of note I can remember is that it occurred after changing my characterâs clothing. I had to dig through the code a bit in order to actually find a command that could reset character vitality which is â<<set $player.vitality.current = 100>>â in case you are having the same issue I was.
Other than that this is a very well made and a genuinely interesting game from writing and world building perspective. I applaud the effort and creativity that has been poured in to the project and I canât wait for new updates!
I encountered the same problem, but I was able to fix it at the med-station in the swamp. For some reason your solution didnât work for me. I think it happened around the time I put on the Melmatrian Robes, but Iâm not sure.
I did notice a bug with the most recent patreon version, and I assume it exists in the current public one as well-giving in to the queen of feasts gives food and calories proportional to your max fullness in an uncapped formula-I ended up with a weight of e86 before I decided I was getting a bit silly. The other options of resisting or pretending to resist, win or lose, does not give this result.
Did you include the angled brackets â<<>>â? Commands wonât work without them because I retried what I had commented and it worked for me.

Well the only thing that might be that your max health isnât equal to 100, so you can do <<set $player.vitality.max = 100>> and then <<set $player.vitality.current = 100>>

What are the options for transformations currently? How many are there?
12, or 13 if you count the âdefaultâ Human that you start as.
You can see it if you click the âMutagensâ link in your stats, it opens a new window that has completed TFs marked with an â*â, though there are âhiddenâ ones like the Moojin you can get for having a combination of mutagens.
Hello again! Still really enjoying the game, especially with the new free update that added in a few transformation items.
I had some comments and feedback I wanted to give, a few questions, and some suggestions.
From your perspective as the dev, how are the lucidity/tether mechanics supposed to function? Lucidity superficially seems to almost be a direct copy of Insight from Bloodborne, in that itâs an oddball stat you struggle to level up, that improves how you can interact and see with the world around you. It has multiple glass ceilings (such as meditation cutting you off), and will presumably have event-related ways to break past those barriers and get more.
The best current example of this being, I think, in the monastery, where you donât even notice or see the giant pillbug trilobites wandering around until your Lucidity is at a certain threshold. Thatâs a really cool feature, and I hope to see more of it in the future. I think it would be very interesting if a high enough lucidity added multiple new encounters to old areas, essentially ârefreshingâ the zones and giving players a reason to go back and explore again.
Anyway, I presume that is the purpose of Lucidity, but with the more recent update, youâve added a way to farm for a rare item that increases Lucidity when used. So I was curious as to where exactly you were going with Lucidity, and if the introduction of items like the pearl means you intend for Lucidity to potentially go beyond 100% eventually.
Likewise, even after all this time, Iâm still a bit confused by the tether mechanic. Itâs description in the tutorial makes it sound like the bar is legitimately a long-form timer to a hard game-over, and getting transformations seems to dramatically speed up the decay. Thatâs a very counter-intuitive mechanic for a game centered around transforming (among other things).
I must confess, Iâve never played enough on any one save to get it all the way down, and Iâm not even sure if it can. I was curious as to what your intentions were with it. Is there actually supposed to be a hard timer to how long you can play one save file? Is it really punishing interacting with transformations, or is there something else going on? Are there any plans for consequences or interactions with low or high tether, and will there be a way to increase it?

I have two suggestions Iâd like to make here, and both of them center around the (very) few things Fenoxo got right with Corruption of Champions.
One of the things that kept CoC so fun, in spite of how very unfun Fenoxo kept making the game, was that even from the start, there were a lot of transformation items, and each item had a lot of different things it could do to you.
There were cosmetic changes for people to chase, both minor and major. Exotic ears and tails, sharper teeth, a variety of different claws, different eyes, ect. And there were things that were simply direct buffs with no real downside: many items had a decent chance to just raise some of your stats that were thematically associated with the creature in question, like boosting strength or dexterity by 3-5, or just making you a rolls-dice amount of centimeters taller. If you were a man, many, many things gave you a bigger dick and balls (as far as I can tell, nothing in Insatiable Hearts currently does), and women PCs likewise had a similar reaction, with about half the items in the game capable of giving you bigger breasts or a curvier figure, if you had them.
(Obviously, you were intended to go full herm and rape everything back in an orgy of sadomascistic violence, because that was Fenoxoâs fetish, but we wonât dwell on that.)
For me, at least, this was about 90% of the good content in CoC, and 100% of the reason to keep playing it. And Iâm not even a transformation fetishist, I just thought it was neat to play with. When I got tired of doing the things Fenoxo wanted me to do, Iâd spend hours collecting items and then using them on myself, trying to turn into some highly specific chimera with all the âcoolâ traits, like sharkâs teeth, dragon horns, lionâs mane hair, 9 fox tails, and still possessing a vanilla human face.
A much harder combo than youâd think, the shark transformations could do about three different things that destroyed fox tails, and you had to get the tails first because youâd get fox canines by the time you got all 9, there was no way around it. You had to be basically a full fox-morph to become a 9-tailed fox, but you were allowed to keep the tail bouquet if you went full fox and then took OTHER items to turn you into something else. Just as long as you save scummed to avoid getting another tail that would override it (with sharks, the shark tail AND the shark fin on your back transformations BOTH removed the fox tails).
In CoC, playing with transformations was where most of the fun was, and a big part of that was because most of the transformation items were RELATIVELY safe, in the sense that youâd have to go very far down one particular road to start getting into the really weird things (it took a lot of hits from the horse table to become a centaur, that transformation was very rare, and rightfully so). It also didnât feel very permanent, or like it was degrading your character.
In CoC, Iâd often go very far down one transformation line, pursuing a specific cool trait or feature, then once I had it, take other transformations to counteract and remove things I didnât like, or start chasing some other cool feature from another transformation.
Thatâs the sort of thing Iâd find myself doing in CoC, and itâs also something I donât really find myself doing in Insatiable Hearts, because most of the transformations in IH are rather severe in nature (at least compared to what CoC had), and the tables they use donât seem to have many âinnocentâ transformations, like small stat bumps or very minor cosmetic shifts.
CoC transformations were a lot of small building blocks you could go hunting for, with the occasional lit stick of dynamite mixed into the bag. Meanwhile, many transformations in Insatiable Hearts are radical alterations, like immediately turning all of your skin to slime with greasekin, or jumping any minor changes and going straight to full blueberry.
This isnât nearly the problem it could be, because you can just backspace in IS. Thereâs also a âreturn me to vanilla humanâ option, which is a very good feature. But overall, the transformations do feel a bit lackluster.
You also have the percentage mechanic, which Iâm really not a huge fan of, because gaining any amount of it seems to permanently put options from those tables onto any mutation event you undergo.
I know youâre progressing at your own pace, and I appreciate that. But if youâre open to feedback on short-term development, I do think that the game should have more transformative items, and that each item should have more things it can do to the player, including low-impact things like:
âYou gain a bit of mass as both your muscles and magic swell; the fading vision of a smirking demon blowing you a kiss crosses your mind.â
âYou get a bit fatter, and your stomach capacity increases. A faint scent of grease/berries wafts from your mouth.â
And so forth, and so on.
Also, itâs a bit weird to ask, but would it be possible to add a toggle in the settings so that people continue to refer to you as human, no matter what? I get why some people might like your dynamic system, but one of the other few things I liked about CoC was how everyone almost always recognized you as human, because even if you were heavily mutated and mismatched, you still obviously werenât from that world.
I figure the toggle could simply be added to âPronounsâ as a âSpecies Pronoun: Always Humanâ option.

New update is awesome but quick bug report, the new deer character in supporter build whenever talked to repeats the same first entry dialogue. When given the quest item it shows up as an error and I am unable to get any progress with the character/
