Content Additions & Major Features

  • Complete overhaul of the main menu UI
  • Significant expansion of the Fifth Layer
  • Added 17 new States
  • Added 20 new enemies
  • Added 9 new events
  • Added 3 new endings

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Steroids reduced Speed on the second turn instead of Strength
  • Fixed a bug where Dual Shields would randomly play a card at the end of the turn
  • Fixed an issue where kills caused by Vore or Poison did not display the proper resolution text

System Adjustments

  • Player starts with 1 extra speed
  • Curse resolution now triggers after drawing cards
  • Slightly reduced the number of elites
  • Slightly reduced gold drops from common enemies
  • Slightly increased relic prices in shops
  • Slightly lowered the price of common items
  • After purchasing an item, the merchant now restocks a new item, but its price increases by 20%
  • You can now view your inventory inside the shop
  • I tried to add a volume button but somehow cannot apply to current UI. I will retry it next time.

Enemy & Item Balance Changes

  • Slightly reduce the HP of Crystal Golem HP(100 → 80)
  • Slightly reduce the HP of Wandering Troll (120 → 90)
  • Guilty Knight’s intents weakened
  • Origin Cake’s passive changed to “Storage”
  • Reduced the probability of the Cult Leader using buff intents
  • If no worker ants are present, Honey Ant will intend to explode
  • Eternal Flame adjusted: If HP is below 30%, restore 3 HP
  • Bishop Skull adjusted: If you have at least 3 different curses, gain +3 Strength

Into the Depths v1.3.1 bugfix

Fixed a bug where characters could not switch properly after defeating the Desire Devourer.

Fixed a bug where poisoning did not deal damage correctly.

Slightly reduced the frequency of general events, making unique events in each floor more likely to trigger.

Reduced Anat’s satiety damage.

Fixed a bug where consuming the remains of some enemies did not update the sidebar status.

Fixed a bug causing errors with the Illusory Bubble.

Fixed a bug causing errors with the Abyss Hound.

Fixed a bug causing errors with Dual-wielding Shields.

Fixed a bug causing errors when selecting cards in The Library of Veritas.

This game is utterly fantastic, despite the very rough edges.

The most painful experience I’ve had playing it is persistent errors that occur using a deck I have that should technically be able to take infinite turns, using cards Excessive Exercise, Entralled Blessing, and Faste with card draw coming from many sources like Glutton Incentive and Adapt. I’d been able to get around this error on the first turn by using Leave no Waste one one-shot enemies. But that approach can’t work on the final boss… after playing for several hour straight this is extremely disappointing.

Would you mind let me know what kind of error is it? In that case I could fix it. Thank you.

Oh great thank you for that! I’ll report several instances of bugs I’ve experienced while playing, then.

  1. I managed to somehow despawn the Temple Trap after many attacks, but the fight doesn’t end. I could only pass turns.

  1. An encounter on floor 5 bugs out, such that clicking “D-Don’t come any closer” advances to a blank page where elements fail to load. This locks me out of the game and such that I can do nothing but give up and start a new run from the main menu.

  1. In general, perhaps due to some kind of error with shuffling, cards, including cards that have Exhaust, can duplicate themselves in your hand. Issues with shuffling also seemed to generally cause the error I was implying in my previous post, in which I was forced to skip one or two turns to recover the ability to draw the hand and play cards. Here for example is a case where I have two Tempered Edge + in my deck, but I have three in my hand.

  2. Dual shield always throws this error when used.

I broke this game xD

Hello, I really enjoyed the demo, so I decided to support you on Patreon immediately. I was wondering if the Glossary for terms like ‘heavy,’ ‘lust,’ and ‘weak’ is available in v1.3? It seems like I could access it with the ‘T’ key in the free version, but I can’t find it now.

A glossary is already planned. However, the next update will be a large-scale release, requiring a substantial amount of writing, artwork, coding, and testing to complete. Depending on how much time I have left, it will either take the form of a term library or annotations next to cards.

Because we’re all far too eager to play Slay the Spire 2, we’ve decided to move the release date forward by two days.

This update significantly expands the second playable character and introduces a card glossary system, allowing players to view explanations for card keywords directly in-game. At the same time, we finalize the previous 1.3 version and release it for free.

New Content

  • New character, along with her unique mechanistic

  • Added 12 new status effects

  • Added 78 new cards

  • Added 9 new endings

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where background music overlapped when switching interfaces

  • Fixed an incorrect resolution after Mawkin battle

  • Fixed a bug where External Digestion+ failed to correctly apply status effects

  • Fixed the event “Trapped in the Bathroom” not resolving properly

  • Fixed a bug where Dual-Wield Shields could copy other cards after being used

  • Fixed several additional bugs that had gone unnoticed

This is awesome news!! I can’t wait to play through the new demo, but man I’m really curious as to who the new character is :eyes:

a dragon girl (height: 2.1 m) with 2 transformations (half-dragon form, full dragon form)

I wish the save function actually worked as it would be nice to back track a little for actions were you mess up (see forgetting to heal using the sleeping bag).
