Just bought a VRC base and retextured it recently, but the model doesnt include much option in fat shapekeys besides bigger boobs and redistributed thighs. I have some minor experience with blender but im very much lost with how to create a shapekey, sculpt the model properly into it and then reap the result. Any advice?
(Advice on how to make it look good would also be hugely appreciated!, ive seen some stuff on here but im a fan of realistic proportions (full body stuff) which some posts don’t talk about)

Adding a Shape key to a model is quite simple in Blender. Highlight the model, go to the object data properties tab and there is section called “Shape keys”. To the right, you’ll see a + and - buttons, pressing the + button will add a shape key to mesh you highlight called basis (the base form or your mesh), then add a new shape key that by default will be named “key 1” but you can renamed to anything you want.
After that in the properties of the shape key, change its value to 1.0. Now you can go to sculpt mode and edit your mesh to your liking and by changing the value of the shape key you can see how morphs from its base form to the changes you’re doing.
Now, about how to sculpt the mesh to the way you want? Unfortunately is way harder and complicated to explain in Layman’s terms. I can give some tips and advice on some tools and how to make easier the process, but the final shape of your model will mostly depend on you.
