Amazing work! This game had so much potential and I really think that someone going in and polishing it could make it one of the best this site has ever seen. Amazing sprites, almost makes me want to get a second playthrough in (if the game wasn’t such a grind-fest already).

You can open the game’s project file and edit the code in there through rpgmaker xp or you can try and mess with the plugins to change that
The ending feels super rushed, the entire ghost town is just weird and out of place … same with the gym after. Really, it feels like anything added past the water gym is just straight downhill narrative wise. It picked up with the final update, but with the final update being “we’re done, enjoy the rest of it”, there was a lot to be wanted.
I would gladly pay $5 - $10 dollars for a good faith finished version of this game.

The ending was rushed, the ghost town was all Siph’s idea. We all sort of ran out of steam towards the end and there was the stuff with Siph at the end. It’s not really possible to take the game any further than where it is at the moment. If you ever want to start a Pokemon wg game, I can show you the ropes lol

I’m no coder, but that’s why I said “polishing”. The game has great legs to stand on as it is and I’d be super willing to pay for a real final product if/when anyone wants to pick up the mantle.

Only issue is that I can’t recall if Siph wanted anyone to “carry the mantle” or not. I feel like I remember him saying that he didn’t want anyone to continue to work on this project, but I’m not seeing it in this thread and the discord got deleted…

I would be alright if one of the other devs already working on the game went in and fixed a few issues (the fossil reviver one in particular is tragic, I would have fixed it myself, but my old laptop with all the data on it died so I dont have access to RPGMaker anymore). That said, I would really prefer if there wasn’t a remake or active work being done on the game anymore beyond a few tiny changes, I was thinking of asking Krod to lock the thread for it pretty soon actually, and likely will at some point.
as for specific design things like the ghost town and weird zombie person who I forget… I know they’re weird and out of place, and many of the other devs told me as much lol. But I had fun making them, the ghost town in particular was the most fun I had making the game aside from mon designs honestly. If anyone out there wants to make their own pokemon game with blackjack and hookers, be my guest, Fishinabarrel was working on one last I checked in fact, but I’d really like to let this game die and enter the archives as it is.
(as an aside, asking for any money for a project like this is a surefire way to get the game erased by the copyright ninjas permanently, and since I used work from other artists not under creative commons for profit, It’s not a wise decision overall).

Yeah it was more or less a silly creepypasta joke I had a lot of fun with, I ended up toning down and cutting a lot of the health stuff cause as the game went on it started freaking me out more and feeling less and less like something I was at all into. Nowadays that kind of thing is furthest from what I want to interact with, no shame toward anyone just something I personally find upsetting nowadays.

on the topic of issues, there’s quite a few with the game having finished it for the most part. I’d say the most glaring ones being you end up in Indigo Plateau after beating the Elite 4 and Champion, and the map barely works, let alone trying to Fly anywhere. It’s basically a guaranteed crash. Not a bad game, but definitely rushed finish.
iirc, the main dev lost all desire and instead of saying “haha no more updates sorry” they just compiled what they had and finished up. Was it a good ending? Not really. Did they at least make something finished? Yeah. Was it worth playing? Definitely.

So, finally got around to beating the E4 by outright cheesing everything with Shedinja and Toxic Spikes (they seemed to just spaz out and swap constantly despite having SE moves, idk, I’m not gonna say no to a win)… Now what? I’m well aware that much of the game is left unfinished, but what else is there to Do?
i need help, i just could not figure out how to get alcremie or goodra, like for goodra i already used up like 20-ish friendship berry and level them up but they still wouldnt evolved, and for alcremie i used up 30-ish berry as a held item and manually using it then leveling them up and still it wont evolved
