Paladin Princess - An Inflation/WG focused RPG V0.3.5 - Major Bug Fixes

Hi
Can Elaine only gain weight via the moonstones? Cause I used the buffet coupon 3 times and she went back to normal like nothing happened. Or would I need to use the buffet something like 6-10 times for her weight to increase?

Hello
All of Elaine’s permanent weight gain comes at the end of each chapter. Her next stage will unlock when Chapter 2 is finished.

Oh alright, thank you

Found a very touchy bug. After going Ashley only challenge Elaine disappears completely. Even if you left the dream, you are just stuck like this. Goodbye, my hour of life.

Thanks for bringing to light this issue. I’m uploading a patch right now that will prevent this from happening in the future. If you are in the dream world without Elaine, do Ashley’s challenge over again to bring her back.

May Rem bring good dreams to you. But I have more bugs, including old one that I forgot to mention.

  1. After hard battle Elaine died, but Ruth was still alive (literally with 1 HP, but yet). I decided go to tavern and stuff Elaine belly again (it probably wont change anything but for some reason I keep doing it). And right after the cutscene have started, I have a Game over.
  2. After After changing the portrait, it often happens that the previous one does not disappear, and the new one is superimposed on the old one.
Summary

  1. Found a ā€œpassageā€, I can walk on walls and behind them.
  2. Not sure if this one a bug, but shoudnt I get more spores than 3 of 15 in Bandit Just quest?

I’ve been putting up with this the whole game, and about half the time the combat system here sucks. Sometimes it happens that an opponent has area abilities with an effect, such as stun. And they can spam a few with a difference of about a turn or two, leaving you stuck all the time. You tell me that Ruth can take down stun shots? That’s right, unless she (or both of you) are stunned. It wouldn’t be scary if the opponent was alone and didn’t have spells with additional statuses: poisons, which the necklace could help with if you found it earlier, and there’s only one.; bleeding and burning, which can only be survived or fought through before you die. Gorenje I was especially sick of it in the forest, fighting with plants and wasps. Because of this, I overplayed several times, and only thanks to successful critical hits (which occur here quite often, according to my observations) I managed to destroy one opponent, turning the fight from difficult to easy or completely passable.
I wouldn’t have written this post at all if it weren’t for the Golem. This shit almost made me grind my teeth from my lack of hair. In addition to his high stats, this bastard has some very unpleasant abilities in his arsenal (which I didn’t remember, so I’ll give you what it looked like). Storm: with a 50% chance of blinding you for about 4 turns, and this is despite the fact that he can do it several times, turning you into a punching bag for the entire fight, and fuck what you will answer. Occasionally, it may cause bleeding.
Earthquake: with the same probability and with great damage, it drives you into a stun that you cannot remove even with the help of Ruth. At least he doesn’t use it as often as Storm.
Laser fire: the same high damage and gorenje effect with the same chance. As I remember, the Golem used it only 3-4 times, he used the first two immediately when I took off about 70% of his HP (it was only once out of about all seven attempts), which he finished me off.
And like the cherry on the cake, you can still miss it, even if you’re not blinded and use expensive skills like panic.
I’ve done everything I can, my Eli is 13 lvl, Ruth is 12, the boss is :male_sign: Dungeon master :male_sign:, I have butthurt, and I’m waiting for an update.

Wow, that’s quite a few things I overlooked. Luckily they were all an easy fix. I’m uploading another hotfix to the itch page.
A bit more explanation on what’s causing these, in the order you posted:

  1. Game defaults to a game over if there are no alive players in the party. If Elaine is down and you go do any event that removes Ruth, there will be no alive party members, hence a game over. I added a check that revives Elaine if this were to happen.
  2. Every image movement is done manually. There were tons of these instances that I’ve been trying to work through. The first one I don’t know how you found and couldn’t fix. Second one was a dumb mistake on my end, and the third was an oversight I didn’t consider.
  3. Those holes in the walls have been patched over.
  4. I think when I was writing those quest objectives, I got them mixed up with the Rose Tinted Glasses quest. It should state 3 now.

The combat system is a constant balancing act. There will be some additions to give Elaine and Ruth more versatility in the future. On the next major public release, Elaine will have access to stances that provide a tradeoff of buffs and debuffs. Ruth has two new abilities, a special attack she learns at level 10 that can be used when her signature weapon is equipped, and a healing ability that she learns after starting one of the side quests in the Goblands.
And yeah, the golem is hard. Just like with Wurmatar the year prior, that marks the end of content. Once you get more moonstones from the Goblands, you should be a more proper level to face it.

Hi Hi
Can Elaine be offered weight gain and any other means of growth other than via the moonstones? I’m looking forward to that part

Only temporarily. Drinking royal milk will cause her breasts to be bigger until the next time you rest or recuperate, there’s a stuffing scene in the Dusty Knuckle after beating the ā€œStalemateā€ quest, and Elaine gains weight in the Nightmare Hunt minigame. There will be more opportunities to grow in the future, but they will be relegated to similar scenarios. The only permanent weight gain is in the moon shards.
