Pléroma - A furry WG text adventure - v1.0.6 out now :D

Oh dang, thanks for that report! Will look what’s exactly causing it, thanks again :3

As for the rest of your questions:

  • Size doesn’t do much for now, it only increases your starting weight/stomach capacity by a small amount (lvl 1 character), it’s saved for some future gameplay along the lines of “macro“ ;3c
  • Yes, your “base“ stats are the stats you have (not counting species bonus nor armor stats) at the moment you start training, also, the gained stats also don’t count towards the next training session. Basically, you train to gain flat extra stats (STR, STO, WIT, DEX).
  • Ah, Feast, yeah it should appear in your magics menu and only get tracked after you meet Vadak at his cave in Glutton’s Clearing. I’ll check what’s going on there and fix it, thanks for the bug report <3
  • There are technically 3 prices: Two with the NPC and one with Vadak. The first two are 15 gold every 5 turns and if you don’t have that, 8kg of fat. Then, you can buy “Levitation of Fullness“ from Vadak for 80 gold, it permanently reduces the amount of stamina moving costs at higher weights.

Lmk if you find anything else/if I answered your questions, and again, thanks a lot for the bug report and feedback <3

Oh dang, you found the Git x3!
I was planning on releasing that on a later date (I know you can make it private but still, it was on public just in case someone wanted to look for it)

Sure, I’ll leave a translated version of the documentation. As for the “+“ button, it was meant for adding your own language option, in case anyone wants to translate the game to their own language/wanted to change the dialogs, again, it was meant for a future public release of the source code x3

And since you also mentioned addons, yeh, even though that button is meant for translations, I was planning on adding an option to add your own addons/mods to the game, I want to finish the base game first and then work on making it so modding is possible x3 (still not sure if I should also make a “mod maker“)

It’s kinda a good thing that it just spontaneously shows up, because Vadak’s third quest is bugged and doesn’t properly track the amount of times you’ve reached obesity. On top of that, the quest description doesn’t actually match the displayed requirements, it says you need to achieve it three times but the progress tracker only lists 0/1

I absolutely love this game! My favorite NPC is Vella and I seriously hope that we get to be able to romance her at some point and fatten her up really big, hehe. <3

Meanwhile I’m still stuck at the second quest… at this point my character is 6000 kg and I’ve grappled a total of twice. Is there a reliable way to get an enemy to attempt it?

Easiest current way is to fight a Honey Bear at the Forest, unequip your weapons and stall the fight until it grabs and tries to eat you (and now that I think of it, I should also add an option to skip your turn in combat…)

Working on that :>
The counters weren’t working due to the way I made the function for the progress bars, it also failed to load the progress if your character had Feast already. Should be all functional now

Related, I’d really like to see too is additional weight stages for the NPCs in general

I like this, though the training feels a bit too easy, it feels as if the stat points from levels are useless

Stat gain from training is given a cap based on the amount of natural stat points you have in those respective stats, meaning that you still need to dump stat points from levels into them.

This is pretty good so far! I wanna see where it goes.

I will say I’ve had the same problem as Prism7, though. I’ve made a custom character with as little Dexterity as possible, and I’ve only been successfully grappled by a bear twice– and the first time was before the quest was active.

It’s fun to make NPCs fatter, but I don’t really see a point to it…

Fun is the point. For most of the people on this forum, seeing a character get bigger is its own reward.

Part of me wants to play cruelly by fighting and eating the shop npc’s. The “reward” being their access to their stock but lose the ability to sell anything or fatten them up. And if you eat any teachers of magic, you lose access to learning that magic.

Could add a few more stages per NPC, yeah, and as for Romance options… Hmm, I’ll have to think about that, for the moment I think the NPCs lack enough personality to properly implement (and I lack enough creativity X,D) a romance system, can do it on the technical side, can’t promise much (if any) on the creative side

The stats gained through training are limited, it considers your base stats to define the maximum amount of each stat you can gain, as for the difficulty, yeah, after a certain point and if you focused in a specific stat, you can oneshot basically everything

Dang… And yeah, I’ve reduced the amount of needed grapples from 5 to 3 for the latest fix, then, the easiest way to get it is by unequipping your weapon and stalling the fight for as long as you can against either an obese or super obese Honey Bear :,

Would have to think about that but yeah, I can totally add it, given that vore is already a core part of the game, letting you devour the NPCs as well would be a logic thing to do

I took a look at the game, it seems pretty good so far. The only problem I have with it is that it can’t be installed via the Itch app (at least on Linux) because of “insecure file paths”. When extracted manually, the files look like this:

Which is presumably not what the file layout is supposed to look like. I assume it has something to do with the file names looking like that instead of those files being in folders.

Oh dang, sure, I’ll make sure to have that in mind for the next time I upload the files, thankies :>
