I’m going to hope that the AI use is stripped out by the time the next version releases… but I’m a little more willing to give a one-person ultra-niche indie dev a pass.
Just don’t come to rely on it, as I have doubts that with AI’s financial woes (among many, many other issues) that the “tool” is going to remain available forever.
Honestly, I doubt I’ll remove the tags. Even if I strip every line AI produced, it still existed at some point and therefore the project will never be truly no-AI. All three tags will remain but I’ll work on deleting every single trace of it by the end of what I had originally planned.
That aside, I’m truly sorry for having betrayed your trust on the project and yeah, making you try a slop-game without properly disclosing it.
It’s fair and honestly deserved if you don’t want to continue checking on this. I won’t ask for your trust back again, I’ll continue working on it until I can hopefully gain it back or at least finish with something that’s not pure slop.
You should reconsider using something that you feel the need to avoid disclose using. Also, studies have shown the use of genAI causes causes your productivity to suffer and reduces your level of performance without it.
This is absolutely awesome! Another FTAG game is always welcome. Everything seems very polished however, I do have one qualm. The descriptions are not super fleshed out. That is it, and it doesn’t even matter that much.
Also, what does the +fat next to food mean? because even if you eat food that does not say it, you still gain fat.
Ps. keep in mind i have not played the game fully, so, take my words with a grain of salt
Also agree the descriptions could use some work. A lot of times body parts hardly change at all between stages, often getting the exact same descriptors, and sometimes just get left out entirely. The last two stages seem to come too quick for how they’re described. More detail and differentiation between stages is always good.
Yeah! I sort of liked how as you fatten the npc’s most of it was belly focused (as a connoisseur of bellies i much appreciate). However, it would be fun to have npc’s have different body types, although that should be like a later implement. PC description I feel is too ambiguous iykwim.
I think that the fact that they were originally written in Spanish doesn’t help; as most of the descriptors start with “the”. although I’m not sure if that is a translation artifact or not.
Having a short and long description like FTAG would be nice as well.
Hi! The “+fat” next to the food items indicates that, in addition to the base fat value you’ll gain through the “digestion” process, you’ll also gain that amount. As for SIZ, this stat currently does just two small things when creating a character: First, it defines your initial fat (using the equation fat = FAT_FLOOR + 2 + max(0, SIZ-4)), and then it defines how full your stomach will be (ful = 6 + SIZ). Beyond that, I was thinking of expanding it to allow for “macro”, playing with total size,“turning into a kaiju”
Wow, Thank you so much for the detailed response! I like looking at the equations, (even if I’m not quite sure what they mean) lol. That actually helps clear things up!
