Princess Stuffer, A Renpy Text Adventure

Super good start, I’m very excited to see you expand on this. It could really use more interactions, maybe a couple more characters and definitely more going on at each stage. Nevertheless, for a demo this is great and it has a lot of potential!

Forget did a bit of research and found out that it’s a false positive (i think)

This is an awesome start. Gives the player options without going so broad you have no hope of finishing the game. Has actual gameplay mechanics that (presumably) will play into endings and how the game plays out in the future, to help differentiate “fat dumb slob glutton” playthroughs from “clean fat smart” playthroughs to help make player choice meaningful and there is synergy between all of the options available to you that means it’s not optimal to just spam one choice for forever.

Very much looking forward to how this continues!

I have a lot of little notes/complaints, but overall I really like it! I’m excited for fixes and more content!

The mechanics really do borrow heavily from Tramp. I liked Tramp’s systems, so I’m not complaining - except about the Tray. That just strikes me as a Tramp signature that feels weird in any other game. The tiramisu also gives me that vibe. Variety between games is important, even when taking inspiration! A clever reference in one or two places would be cool, though.

I wish the upper-right stat box were about 1.5x bigger, or that I could change its size.

I think your sentences could use more punctuation overall. For example, “while very clean and modern” is a parenthetical phrase that should be enclosed in parentheses, commas, or dashes - and the line of dialogue right before it needs at least two more marks of some kind. Soon after there’s a your/you’re error. Now, if internal thoughts went under- or unpunctuated with high slobbiness… I’d like that!

In the choice to show/hide slob content, it’s not 100% clear that we can show it, but not have our character do it (say, for a feeder run). Can we?

“Wont” is a word but you wanted “want”. Grease is mopped up, not moped.

I tried to do a feeder run but after 13 days the other character shows no sign of gaining and all my exercise has had no effect. Either the content’s missing or I looked but couldn’t find it. A feedee run went much better though! Haven’t finished just yet.

The three class times share a lot (all?) of their text, but seeing some text in the morning doesn’t make it skippable with CTRL afternoon or evening. Not a big deal, but it means that often old text is presented as if new, which is a little disappointing.

Edit: I got the game to say <bound method Player.adjBelly of <store.Player object at 0xblahblah>>.

besides a few previously mentioned bugs and grammatical errors, this experience was very nice as i myself love text-based games.

i was a fan of the pacing and felt like there was a good flow of new interactions. my personal (and only complaint) is the lack of description upon reaching a new weight gain stage, or at least no way to properly ‘inspect’ yourself upon reaching that stage, as you get one mention of it upon reaching the stage and it isnt in great detail ( or not enough for a text adventure game) to fully take it in, i think a way to inspect yourself or more mention of the bigger body upon reaching a stage would be beneficial, but besides that, its a great game with lots of potential and i’m very glad you made it as i enjoyed playing it.

Whats kinda funny/sad is I wrote a whole mirror scene so you could inspect yourself and forgot to add the option to do it while in the dorm -_-, I have re-uploaded the game with that scene included now. Sorry it wasn’t there before.

I got that false positive as well, so, here’s hoping it’s removed.

when i went to the link it said the page is quarantined anyone know why?

This is a common practice in Icho. A new user immediately releases a new game, the game is “quarantined” to check for viruses (I don’t know how true this is). But this does not mean that the game cannot be downloaded at this time.

So, I’m a size seven, my intelligence can’t be higher than a hundred, I’m a chef, I don’t go to the gym, but my fitness is always at around 22 (for some reason). Everything sounds and looks exciting, including the plans, and even now the demo looks great, I really hope that the game will come to an end. Although I haven’t checked what’s going on with the plot and the sports routine (if the fitness level affects anything at all). I’m especially looking forward to Helen’s development: everything indicates that there should be a scene with her in the dorm, but so far nothing. And after she stops offering pizza the only way I found to decrease her fitness and increase her greed is having a breakfast with her. And so I make her fitness lvl negative and 96 of greed
And yes, I wish the text size in stat tablet be around twice bigger.
Here is an error with text

Sorry about the quarantine issue, I don’t think there is anything I can do since my Itch account is brand new, I will message their support to see if there is an extra verification step I can do or something

This is a really good baseline for a game! You have done really well to build out the bones of a game, so now it is just to improve on it. The first thing is definitely to add some more events and flesh everything out some more. Right now, you have some very long periods where I’m just skipping all text because I have seen everything before. Adding some more “life” will help bring this a lot more replay-ability, but this is a really good start.

Thanks for providing details for the bug you had, I believe it is fixed in the new version I just uploaded. I also made the font size larger for the Stat menu, I wanted to add a setting for it in the preferences menu but that will have to wait for a later update. Similarly for Helen in the dorm room she doesn’t have any events there yet but since the game tracks where she is it can be misleading sorry, I hope to add events for the Dorm in the future.

I played through it and really enjoyed it. Personally, I’m mostly interested in the feeder and mutual gaining routes, and I’d especially like to see the MCs and Helen’s relationship develop a lot more. A game like this has a lot of potential, it’ll be interesting to see in future updates how the MC can corrupt a school of princesses to be a little less ladylike and a LOT more womanly.

My only nitpick is that I’m not at all a big fan of face gains in renders generally. Irl, a little face gain can look cute or hot, but generally I find they tend to have a bit of an uncanny valley in renders and I’m sure some can agree. It might be worth doing a poll to see what people think.

I personally find face gains make it feel much more realistic to a point. At super high weights they can look rough, but an angular face on a 400 pound body just looks ridiculous.

Mumbles something about watching your career with great interest…

But seriously, what is here so far is pretty good… the setting is unique and once ‘fleshed out’ (Sorry, couldn’t resist) could make for a very interesting world and story… on the side of the fattening of course.

In particular I like how it works, how it’s played… although, I may be a little biased on that one…

Right now it’ svery bare bones but I can see a bright future for it.

You don’t say… I really couldn’t tell… probably why I enjoyed the way it plays so much though

Happy to hear everybody is enjoying the demo, I won’t be around for a few weeks due to work and life stuff but will hopefully be back after August to keep working on the game and make it something great. As a sidenote I believe I have fixed the quarentined page issue on Itch.

Thank you again everybody for your kind words and great ideas for the game, they mean a lot.

This game was a lot of fun reminds me of the magic diary series a bit

Excited to try this game out cause I enjoy Renpy text games. I noticed a typo in the first dialogue box. It says “Welcome to Princess Shaper” when I imagine it should say “Welcome to Princess Stuffer”?

Not trying to nitpick, and am excited to give this demo a spin.

(edit for grammar)
