actually speaking of mobility devices is a really good idea, especially when in the game when you became immobile it actually says: this is where the truth story begins or something like that
My suggestion to both this project and your other one that might make it difficult for the future and might be the cause of burnout for the code, might be the huge amount of pkmn that exist and having to add more and more since everyone likes a different one.
If you know a twine game called fatty text adventure game by Noone they have a ton of animal species but people still wanted more so they made it a custom system, you can add height and weight, name and species, that way everyone can make the character they like. I did that for the recruiment, where i was calling my team by names of the ones i liked and should cut you out a lot of trouble for now and the future.
I think your vision is to turn your small team into a big village that is around the region but i think 25 people seem to be a lot for the start but might be good for later in the game, and like Flateur said, i can imagine a lot of fun interactions between them and our team leader. If you dont mind another reccomendation, there is a game called Hoard Yourself, that is of a dragon getting fat from his army of kobolds doing all the work and i can imagine something like that could be a good inspiration for when the leader gets immobile.
I love the idea of materials and upgrades but like others said, things like bigger stronger scales that you keep breaking, mobility assistance to delay immobility, or larger base / doors as the leader and maybe the rest of the team gets larger.
Now for even more praise, even if you say you wont touch this again, im already very happy with what you did, i loved reading a lot of descriptions, some were small like the Beeg but when reaching Snorlax size i was delighted with the description and i can imagine my Charizard being a glutton while the rest of the team keeps bringing fatty foods to him and thats something i love when reading text adventures, is to imagine these scenarios. Thank you for your work on this and i hope to see this one expand.
Hard agree with Kaiser dragon’s point about custom species descriptions, although I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to more defaults. Haven’t really played the game yet, but I’m excited to give it a proper check out when it’s been fleshed out a little more. Glad to see you kept safe with the title lol.

Regarding bulk ****ing items, that is definitely true! In PWGD, I had a policy of only having one item per turn. But there’s no need for that here. But bulk eating can be a little tricky.

Yes, there is. They will power up by feeding treats, but gains weight. I passed on it because it seems a bit tricky and there is no merit to it at the moment.
But you want your teammates to move, so it’s basically a disadvantage. Let’s think about a job that can only be done with heavy weight…
This looks interesting, but to implement it, we might need to think about what the player can’t do without it.
I’m thinking of making it so that costom species is player-only. For now, it seems easier to do that than PWGD.
You guessed! This game was inspired by that. It seemed fun to do it with PMD. Each teammate has their own stats, so this game will be a bit more complicated.

I think those slightly sassy description is full of my sensibility. I had fun writing it. However, the expression Snorlax-like has the disadvantage of being disrespectful to Snorlax.

Crafting
I think this will definitely be implemented. Like upgrade, creating a new item from multiple items. Of course, players can also assign it to members. -
Training
I think this will be implemented too. They can consume fatness and get exp. It is mainly used by members who have gained weight to diet. I think it will be available after creating a training ground in upgrade. -
Species
This version only allows you to choose 3 fully evolved for testing, but in the future, I think it will be like PWGD, with base species first & evolve in playing & unlock by hiring. Also, I would like to be able to set a custom species for player only. -
Special members & job
They are special, they use their own camps so they are not included in the members space, they cannot be fired, and they can be assigned special jobs. For example, partner, story NPCs, legendaries, etc. (Yes, I was thinking of adding partner.) -
Feeding team members
Feeding Treats to members will increase their stats according to the Treats, but they will also gain weight. members wg is basically at a disadvantage, so I think it would be better for them to stay in shape…do you have any ideas? -
Rare Quality (RQ)
This is a feature from RTDX. Each pkmn can have one RQ each. These are like abilities, but they affect the whole team, and the effect gets stuck and can be rerolled by feeding (maybe). The effects I’m thinking of now are exp boost, easier to clear dungeons, foods calorie up, etc. -
Crossover
Maybe PWGD npcs will appear!? At the moment, it only appears for a moment in the intro, but it may be involved in some kind of event.
I also want to include characters from the original game. You know, Chatot has already appeared in most of the story. I’m thinking of an event where she comes to visit with Wigglytuff. Then, they are shocked by the player’s obesity and create a 2nd immobility focused guide.

I like most of your ideas for improvement and the only thing is regarding the team members. I think it should also be possible to have them all be fat
- maybe they can only reach close to immobile but gather less, the fatter they get, so its a player “choice” to have the entire team be full of fatties or not
- Maybe they can become immobile too and become one less member that can be used, making it harder, if the player wants a challenge
I would say that you can also make certain areas be better for gathering depending on stats for the team, like apple forest is better for a lightweight pokemon to reach the trees and get more fruit, a strong pokemon for the mines and maybe a fat pokemon for the abandoned town because they can do some stomp to find hidden treasure. That way you can try and go for different team members with special abilities and sizes, Giving purpose to different foods.
I would also say having events to lose or gain weight could be fun, you send a pokemon to apple forest, one could trigger a trap to make them lose weight and the other could trigger a mushroom cloud spore that made them fatter or a cursed item.
I cant think of more for now but i think thats enough as i imagine some of the things can be difficult to make.
Idk if these are good ideas
Add more ranks like diamond, sapphire, amethyst, ruby and onwards
Be able to battle other guilds and get rewards like getting their teammate, items, coins and more
Some uses for coins? no reason for them rn

All good was just saying it as flavour stuff. If it’s not a dumb idea though it could be a region implied to have those types of mons that has a weight gain effect from exploring it? Love the game though so I’m sure whatever you come up with will be great
As a suggestion, some way to automate warehouse management might be nice. Maybe an option to assign a team member to keep a certain number of a specified item (ie, 200 breads), and discarding any extra beyond that? Probably make it to where you have to have at least one copy of the item in the warehouse to assign it.

This time, I put species and custom species. I tried to implement more QOL features, but I want to see if custom species works first.
Hiring pkmn is also an actual species. Also, gender ratio has been implemented. If the starters are more common as males, or no female nidoran♂ or male nidoran♀, it works fine…
