Thanks! That was not actually cellulite, i think it is vertice artifacting (or something, idk). You are very right about the lighting part though. I doi wanna do cellulite too in the later stages though, obviously. It’s just that the effect here was not deliberate, and thus not controllable.
Your design is adorable i love it
Thank you, very nice!
Okay I finally caught up on this, this is actually the same flow I started trying to do myself! I’m surprised you didn’t stick with the default Anime / cel-shaded VROID texture, I think it looks pretty good and solves a lot of lighting problems. As for not working in mirrors, maybe that’s something with the rendering on the mirror side? Either way I think it’s a good start, and hope it works out for you!
Another little Update - I probably will actually use the updated models for stage 2, as it is not hard to actually adjust the old models to wrok that way. I have made some progress for stage 2, but i’ve also been learning a bit more on animations and jiggle physics. Also see through silk! Wanted to show off the difference with the old-university-friend model!
The new model has a little crinkle on the right hand because of the pose, but in all other ways it looks a lot better to me.
It’s coming along quite nicely. I’d say the next big thing to work on with the fatter stages is making the faces chubbier to match. Excited to see your progress going forward
I personally think they’re fine, was never really a fan of super huge faces because they either look like the subject has some kind of facial tumor inflating the skull or have so many folds I expect to see sweat rashes in their chin…
To each their own, personally I’ve always disliked the art style of really really fat person with the face of someone who weighs 100 pounds.
enlightened centrists here, i think it depends how big the character is /j
In my personal opinion, in a game where transformation is the main selling point, the face should change too. It actually is changed from her thinner muscular model, with a wider face and bigger cheeks. I also was not sure if she should have a double chin, but have for now decided against it. I wanted to make facial fat, but i did not target all of the necessary areas - for instance, the chin is still pretty sharp. In the given screenshot i did not change the shape of the face between the first and second picture, as i was mostly concerned with losing the “beach ball” belly look, creating a saggier softer looking fat shape without concerning myself with the face at the time.
I did adjust the chin now, but i’ll probably make more adjustements later down the line. I am currently working on the stage 2 intro, and then i’ll do the other stage 2 scenes. I’ll probably also add the stage 3 intro and end the demo there
ye i agree, i do wonder how big of a difference are you generally going for between each stage? my memory of fill me up is it having quite gradual stages up until the last 2 or 3 stages while other games have quite big changes between each stage. either is fine tbc, its just out of curiosity
It is gonna be similarly gradual. Mc’s second stage is only a little bit noticeable, but it will ramp up later. Not even doing this because specifically fillmeup did it, but rather because it makes sense that the habits and behaviour for weight gain rub off gradually!
For a longer style game with many events like fill me up was i think the slow burn WG style is definitely best, it makes the massive stages feel that much better.
Something nice at least you can do is since theres gonna be more girls stuff like face gain/arm gain can be kept to certain girls while others can have more fantastical gains like big ol boobertsons.
I got done with the stage 2 intro images yesterday. I did some more Sculpting, by using the Blender human meshes and putting the vroid heads on them. The blender meshes are better for sculpting, and i am honestly very happy with the result. I might screw around with shaders to make it look better too! I had to do some major reworking to get these models to work, so these ones will not be put into the first release. The post from vivikkuri from Twitter ( Post / X ) was a major inspiration to try and further hone my sculpting work.
