Terraria Weight Gain Mod

Are there some mods I need to blacklist while I’m using the weight gain mod’s steam version or is it just bugged right now? I’ve been messing around and noticed that my character started sliding back very fast when my character’s weight stage goes to Obese.

Wg mod glitch

I thought it had something to do with me unintentionally bugging it while trying to make my character fatter, so I tried it again on a new character and a new world, the same thing happens there.

Wg mod glitch 2

Edit: Ok, I’m convinced either the steam version is bugged or one of these other mods is to blame because I deleted wgMog main v1.0 and the glitch is still occurring.

2nd Edit: Nevermind, I found the source of the glitch on my own. Turns out this mod is incompatible with Voraria because I disabled it and now the WgMod is working fine.

Pretty neat and fun so far, shocked it works with MrPlague’s Authentic Races which is additionally cool

I guess two things I could say feedback wise is like:

More configs would be great. Like I looked on the github at some of the new fat stages added, and while I get the intention is that the blob stage prevents you from moving and using tools…. I think it would be fun if you could idk, disable that feature or something. Or at least make it less punishing.

And yeah I guess on that note, even though I havent played much, so far being fat has seemed more or less kinda, eh in terms of mechanics? Like most trinkets I was able to get that were intended to scale with weight just kinda werent super useful. Also for bosses the slowness kinda made it quite difficult to kite (although kinda fun, especially trying to avoid getting fattened by king slime).

Idk I am spitballing, this is literally my first post on the forums lmao. But yeah fun mod overall I do really enjoy it, just wished being fat was generally more useful i guess?

I dont know if this is helpful information but there are certain equipment crafts that allow you to bypass the immobility stage

And uhh i think the mod is something like “you can play vanilla and avoid to get fat as much as you can, but if you DO get fat you get weapons that reward you for being fat” kinda like have fun and enjoy your own playstyle sort of thing.

I could be wrong

the jiggle physics are crazy good bwahahaha

Is the steam version just click subscribe and forget, or do I need to dig around in the files, and get tmod loader after.

Never mind I figured it out.
Other question though. What triggers the belly gurgles. I haven’t heard them once.

Belly gurgles are triggered by drinking any weight changing potion. Additionally in the latest dev version it is triggered by digestion.

Legs now have UV armor support! Who says you can’t be stylish while being a blob…

lets fucking go love this mod <3

hellyeah, gooning 2.0 is here

Loving the mod so far but I do have some questions/requests/suggestions

Are plans for items for earlier in the game? Currently most of the items are late game drops or require late game materials. Which means it takes a while until you can get to some of the weight specific items.

I like the hitbox changes as it actually makes playing the game feel different. Like the houses I’m building have to be spacier just to allow for easier movement. But when you’re at the larger weight stages the model becomes so big that a 3 block height hitbox doesn’t feel right but I don’t know if that’s possible to change as easily as the horizontal hitbox.

Lastly I was wondering if it’d be possible to pick and choose which buffs or debuffs you can enable and disable. Or even how much impact the (de)buffs have. For example I don’t mind the movement speed debuff but I don’t like becoming immobile, so it’d be nice to be able to pick and choose what stuff you want impacted.

Sorry if it seems like I’m asking for a lot, I’m just really loving the mod right now and wanted to share my thoughts so far.

Awesome! Keep up the wonderful work, guys! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

We have a boss in development for early pre hardmode if I’m not mistaken. That would of course have items associated with it.
As for becoming immobile you can just lower the stage cap in settings, that’s why that’s there

I meant immobile as in not being able to move not as in the size. I would prefer to be able to just disable the movement speed reduction at max size from being 100%, rather than reduce the max size I can be or disabling all buffs/debufs. (sorry that I wasn’t clear before)

Looking forward to whatever boss you guys cook up

i like the hardmode progression! i saw this after knowing what the original one did and was like AHHHH

HOLY SHIT THIS IS IMPRESSIVE?

How did you do that jiggle effect??? I wouldn’t have thought terraria supported that???

it uses some simple spring math :3 it turns out the non-uniform scaling is completely supported by terraria without any issues (at least for drawing)
