It broke my xml injector, there is an update out for that though. Try installing the new version of that and giving it another go?
This mod is still working for me after the patch. I just had to update xml injector.
Gradual Physique Changes however is broken.
Yes, Weight Reactions seems to be fine. Pity about Gradual Physique Changes is broken - hope they will update it soon.
Might have spoke too soon. Gradual Physique seems to still be working for me after all ![]()
Both mods seemed fine when I tested them with the new update (once I had the new XML Injector and Fitness Controls installed) ![]()
Gradual Physique Changes has always been a bit of a hack, and it can bug out and stop updating sometimes - usually a lot change or a game restart sorts it though.
Ah okay, will update xml after work tomorrow! Thank you <3
Version 0.3 is out now!
This isn’t a huge release, as I don’t have a ton of time for modding at the moment - just fixing a few things that were bugging me in my own Sims playthroughs:
Changes to weight tracking
Previously, if a Sim hit the threshold for a weight gain/loss moodlet, it would take 1-8 hours to actually trigger. This was meant to make it feel like the Sim was randomly ‘noticing’ their new size, but in practice, it just felt weird having such a big time lag between cause and effect. I’ve reworked this so it should now reliably trigger within ten minutes ![]()
Some other moodlets still trigger randomly, though.
Changes to fitness/appetite effects
I found it a bit strange how if a Sim lost 50 pounds and then gained 10 back, they’d be hit with a fatigue debuff when exercising, despite still being significantly smaller than when they started!
To avoid these weird cases, I’ve changed these kinds of effects to be based on whether the Sim is currently above/below their baseline weight instead - if you want the effects to go away, you need the Sim to keep their weight stable until they get used to it!
Faster weight gain when below baseline weight
To make the gameplay a bit more interesting, I made it so Sims who are below their baseline gain weight faster than usual, making it harder for them not to rebound. This is a very subtle effect at the moment (it’s a 1.1 multiplier), soI may crank it up a bit in the future.
Pie menu replaced with console commands
To make it a bit easier to set a Sim’s weight stats, I got rid of the pie menu and replaced it with console commands (see the OP for info). This lets you set current/baseline/remembered weight to whatever value you want, rather than being limited to ±25 increments.
I don’t have any concrete plans for what I’m going to do next with this mod - I’ve given some thought to perhaps adding a ‘body positive’ skill that can be levelled, but I’d need to come up with some interesting ways that could affect gameplay (just having it disable all the reactions would be boring, I think).
Any ideas for other stuff to add would be welcomed ![]()
Is it possible to make the pie menu an optional file? I know it lacks the fine tuning of console commands, but I found it convenient.
Yeah, that should be doable! I’ll try to push a 0.4 with that included at some point.
Done - 0.4 is out now and has a seperate package for the pie menu.
