Update 1.4

Hi everyone, I’m back with a new update! Sorry for the long gap between updates and for being so inactive (has it really been a year since the last update?). I took a bit of a break from development which went on longer than originally planned. Anyway, I think this is the biggest update yet in terms of content, so hopefully that makes up for it somewhat!

Changelog

  • A whole new section of the tower:
    • 5 additional floors with new weapons and enemy types.
    • A new boss with a unique gameplay mechanic.
  • New encounters:
    • Meet a fairy who can join you on your quest and you can feed for a magical buff (11 weight stages).
    • Navigate a dark room using senses other than sight to avoid traps.
    • Stumble upon a demonic business meeting.
    • 2 new adventurers you can meet during your ascent.
  • The Saccharine Sorceress boss has been slightly revamped, and is now the second boss (swapped with the Gastromancer), with appropriate balance tweaks.
  • More weight related flavor text throughout the game.
  • New ending if you beat the game after reaching the maximum weight stage.
  • Lots of the existing images in the game have been remastered using newer AI image generation techniques, improving the quality.
  • A new header displaying important stats such as health that appears when playing with the sidebar stowed. Should improve the experience on narrower devices such as smartphones.
  • A whole bunch of other small tweaks basically everywhere.
