yes I did avoid the Break up
You don’t actually have any reason to desire to avoid the breakup, as breaking up for a few days is just additional plot. Only the actual game over screen is undesirable. Yes the breakup is achieved by having a lower score, but skipping the breakup just skips a couple events.
I prefer to get as many events bc it makes it more fun
Yeah, I can see wanting to do both, for sure, I did both That’s how I know the one that’s more complex and has more events is the one that includes the breakup. but both is always more content than either! (technically!)
What is the final transformation of Alice currently and what is the last event?
As with each of the updates the final event is always a peak into Alice’s next weight increase and at the end of the event is a too be continued screen letting you know you’ve hit the end of the content.
i do enjoy this game a lot tbh i haven’t finished the game yet been three days of gaming I cant wait till it eventually gets finished
Also a recommendation is to add some type of music to the game so its not just anyone clicking or hitting space and enter, like classical or instrumental without any lyrics.
If you’re wanting background music added to the game probably not very likely. Tigger has stated that people will either turn it off or put on something else they want to listen to so they don’t see a point to add it.
I never turn off music in games like how Project F.A.T has, but if not i got spotify premium so i can listen to music regardless just seems odd to me cuz its the first game i played off this forum without music on and also do recommend if not that something like maybe voices for the characters besides the regular reads it out loud sounds weird to me cuz it doesnt become feminine sounding when its a lady talking. But fair enough if they believe that even though if they turn it off thats their choice just as it is for others to listen to it?
A lot of this has been suggested before. I don’t doubt things could change in the future but speech is the least likely.
for me i cant picture how they sound but also the opinions he said dont make much sense to me besides the actors do cost money
On a side note i do wish we got to choose the gender of the MC that feeds Alice and stuff
The one reason I do not turn music off in ren’py games is that sometimes the author will code random sound effects to count as music, so instead of music off i set music to super quiet.
If I could turn music off without turning off sound effects mistakenly coded as music I would.
Rather listen to my own playlist than whatever music a game made by a non-musician could include.
Did the breakup effect becca weather you could drink with her cuz i tried knocking twice and it forced me to work or go home during the event after her date
The break up or lack there of, only effects the scene it happens in (and the week of being broken up) and dialogue. After you are back together it doesn’t effect anything else.
odd cuz it didnt let me go inside to talk to becca when i knocked twice so there’s a bug then with that and i was able to go inside for a drink when avoiding breakup
There are certainly bugs left in the game. I was in the process of debugging the current version when it was leaked and I didn’t do any more work on it after that, simply released it as is so that everyone could play it rather than have to hunt for it on piracy forums. I’m not aware of a bug with the drinking at the office with Becca scene, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t one.
If/when I do restart work on it, there won’t be any music. I could add public domain music, but the majority would switch it straight off, or write my own (I do have some experience in music composition), but it wouldn’t appeal to most people as I have fairly weird muscial tastes If you want music, simply fire up your audio player of choice in the background
As for sound effects, as I’ve said previously, I’d love to add speech, but there are already many thousands of spoken lines in the game (and if I do carry on writing it, there will be thousands more) and it would cost a fortune to get them all voiced, not to mention the amount of extra coding it would take.
edit Oh, and there is no chance of picking the gender of the MC, I’m afraid. Every image in the game (well over 2.5k of them) is an individual render. To give the option of a female MC, I’d have to add an extra image for every single picture that the MC appears in… Would take many months to do.
I really do hope you pick this up again man, I really appreciate the level of effort gone into this, in terms of detail of the writing and art assets. It’d be a shame to waste all of that on account of some dickheads. I’ll happily contribute to your Patreon should you resume development!
why would it take many months to do? do you work or something or school? As well as for music what genre do you listen to out of curiosity.
I might go with pretending everytime i play this MC as a trap or something. As for music I been putting on hollywood undead everywhere I go atm. Sadly I cant afford to do patreon supporting cuz disability money pays so little. I do like the game and hope it get continued overtime.
He would have to re-render every image in the game which the MC is in, which is 1000s of images (probably?). Pre-rendered 3d images can take hours EACH to render. In order to look “good” the renderer will essentially make 100s or 1000s of passes over the image. (To get the lighting of each pore right, or w/e.)
It would take something like a 2080 RTX month(s) to do this, even if it worked alone (non-stop) without a human. Although assuming the female MC was at all different than the male MC (like height slash arm length) that would then require some artistic human input time to make the new renders look “right”.
It’s an absolutely insane suggestion. Swapping the gender of the MC is something you can do in a video game that renders in real time on the players computer because all you have to do is swap the MC, but if you’re playing a VN full of pre-rendered artwork that is literally just still images? Each image has to be individually redone.
