The Weighting Game - WIP

There are already some things in that have resulted from convos I’ve had with Tigger. Like how pepperoni pizza is “the only way to have it” (paraquote).

@charfire2002 no plans for anything like that currently, but I’ll add it to the ideas list!

@Schattenjaeger yeah, there are quite a few little snippets like that which only the person who made the original comment/suggestion will get… Hopefully the ones I have planned for the future will be recognisable by most people on the forums here. Time will tell, I guess!

Couldn’t find anything about it skimming the forum but it’s happened everytime I’ve gotten this event. If you get the scene where becca comes over for dinner it seems to skip the scene where alice goes up to her next size. She’s just that size after the event and it’s unaddressed. I did try dodging the event by not going to work for a few weeks to see if I could get the other scene first but it never came up.

Its because Becca coming over for dinner IS the next stage event

Fully had me thinking I was delusional for a minute there but I did a quick run to double check If you reject becca when she comes onto you there’s a diffrent scene that plays out instead that’s more in line with all the other size up events
Image for proof

Nothing seems to make both of these play on the same run though. At least for me

Just for once, that’s not a bug. You’ll get one of two scenes depending on your decisions prior to this. You can’t see both scenes in one playthrough

Sweet replay value. Thanks for the clarification

Yep, like I’ve said before, it’s impossible to see everything on a single playthrough. And I’m planning on adding more either/or stuff to keep things fresh for anyone who wants to play more than once

Just did a second playthrough after what must have been at least a year and couldn’t help but notice the “Band-Maid” shirt the waitress was wearing in one of the bar scenes, made me smile since that’s my favorite band! Tried to do a few things different and definitely seen some stuff i didn’t see before, great replay ability indeed. Anyways, still the best game in this genre by far.

Well I’ve never seen this! Its just really hard to turn down Becca since she’s my favorite!

Please help me, what am I doing wrong? Sister Alicia arrives, takes offense at me and the game ends. What should I do?

It’s a bit hard to understand from what you’ve typed, but I am assuming you’ve hit the breakup event. This happens at the beginning of weight stage three when Alice has come over to the player’s house after the previous night of going to the running and going to the bar with Alice’s sister Janet. I’m not sure if you are getting an actual game over screen or not. But the game does have one game over with the “permanent break up event” which happens if romance score (an internal game variable not trackable by the player) is too low during the breakup event. Instead of being a temporary thing like the breakup event will normally be, it triggers a game over screen.

If you are getting an actual game over screen you will have to either reload an older save and try to raise this variable or potentially start over to avoid it. If Alice is just not available and you can still play you just can’t get in contact with her when you “call Alice” then simply passing a week of time in game will allow you to continue.

I have a guide which is linked in the first post that would help you avoid this and answer more questions about it in the FAQ section.

Thank you. Is it written in the window of Alicia’s portrait? Do you need it to be great? To go further. I also wanted to ask if I subscribe for a fee, will there be a next version of the game besides the pictures?

That portrait that you see with the text is an indication of how Alice feels about her weight at that current moment. It does not affect the breakup event. It can affect Alice going on a diet or working out depending on how she feels.

Romance score will raise or lower depending on how you treat Alice while dating. Again, you can’t track this in game. Some easy ways to increase romance score include, going on the fancy restaurant date on the weekend, sharing your pastry with Alice when shopping. Going along with her choice at the movies and complementing her. Cooking dinner for Alice when she is not too full at the player’s house (you can see this when she says the line about her mom). During the slushy movie telling her you prefer the way she looks compared to the heroine on screen.

Romance score can lower from multiple things in game. The most common being teasing Alice too early (generally before the breakup event has happened) in the play through and having her pay for things when you have no money and chose to still go out. You are free to tease Alice after the breakup event as it is the only game over currently in game.

The patreon is just there as a tip jar to support the game. The next publicly available version of the game will release when the game is fully completed. There are currently no plans to have another version available on patreon before the game is finished being developed. So, if you’re subbing to the patreon if would be just to support the development, see the exclusive images, and the few small side games or scenes that @tiggertoo has put out as a thank you for support.

I see, thanks. I plan to subscribe. You have the best game in this genre. Fattening Career is in second place.

I also can’t pass game over screen, for how long i need to keep incresing the score? I was spamming going shopping and sharing with her for 20 minutes and still could’t pass.

It depends really. If you’ve made her pay for stuff or teased her a lot you might as well reload a save. Would likely be faster then trying over and over. If not try going to the movies and going along with her choice and calling to give her a compliment everyday as well. Up a couple posts I posted how I got the no break up option as quick as I could, click the summary there for how I did that or follow Krodmandoon’s guide

The breakup scene is high on my list of things to change. Being dumped for good is a viable outcome for this scenario, so I’m leaving it in, but I do agree that there’s not enough warning that it may happen. In Test 0.8, I implemented a ‘How are we doing?’ option in the ‘Call Alice’ menu, where she’ll give a better idea of her overall mood, and Test 0.81 will also have an option to turn off the ‘Game over’ part of the scenario completely (see below screenshot)

Sorry to disappoint you, but the ‘Band Maid’ shirt is one of the things that was removed when I rejigged that character… Her top is a little more obscure now.

Have a concept image as consolation
