By all accounts Tiggertoo is still continuing to work on this project regularly and certainly hasn’t lost motivation.
Respectfully, you clearly haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about. I’m as motivated as ever; just taking things at my own pace these days without trying to hit ridiculous deadlines. And enjoying working on the game a lot more as a result.
It also just seems like a weird criticism to make of this game specifically, which even though ‘unfinished’ still joins Fattening Career in defining the high-water mark on this site. If there were just a finale scene added or something, along with some (very) slight changes to the language of the warnings you get once you reach the end of QA’d content, it could easily be called a complete game as it is.
I agree with JustChris - who expresses so beautifully how many of us feel about your game. It is truly enthralling! So looking forward to the final version.
@GraySky Yeah, I could pretty easily have done that, but there’s a hell of a lot more story yet. It’ll hopefully be worth the weight!
@Condenser He’s certainly eloquent! Perhaps I should have got him to write the story ![]()
I guess you can say it’s a, weighting game?
Sometimes it’s hard not to feed the trolls.
Approval from my favorite girl, I’m so happy
Nice. Is this render from the new demo 0.8 or do you actually have a bunch of images on your hard disk just to use game themed reactions on a thread.
I suspect something similar to the latter from doing test renders and thinking it’s cool and keeping it
0.8 has less content then 0.7 so it can’t be from the fabled 0.8, so it is indeed the latter
Woah! When did Hannah get so big? She’s looking good!
Nope, it’s not a game render. I do have a lot of unused images, but in this instance, I was working on images at the time and thought I’d just do a quick thumbs up pic
You’re slowly winning me over on Hannah - I was never thrilled with her, because I’m far too stupidly loyal to Alice, but darn if she isn’t charming and cute here.
I love this game so much - but I do have one little gripe with it. And it really is a small thing - more a curiosity than a gripe really. Where are the double bellies? Though I suppose Daz maybe just doesn’t do that well.
@Muffintopmanor A lot of people seem to like Hannah these days - which is far from what I originally envisaged for her. She was originally just going to pop up from time to time and be very rude about Alice’s increasing size. But, as those who have followed the game since the start will know, I make up much of her story as I go along (more fun that way!), and her personality has been quite heavily revamped. And, as I’ve said before, she was originally never going to get any bigger, but then someone said ‘wouldn’t it be cool if she got bigger too…’ LIGHTBULB moment and I completely changed her storyline. And for those who like fat-shaming, don’t worry. There’ll be someone who shows up later and is very uncomplimentary about Alice’s increased size
Will they get their comeuppance? Very probably!
@Ares42 You’re quite right. Daz simply can’t do fat characters. It struggles a lot with anything beyond vaguely curvy. Double bellies are sexy, but extremely difficult to do!
That said, the first post in the thread has just hit 200 likes does happy dance so as a small celebration, here’s another of Hannah with an attempted double belly…
Nice - I can see what you mean about it not quite handling it correctly. But not half bad at all for all that. I wish I had the time to develop the skill to do 3D modelling. I used to love doing it back in the day when character models were pretty much just stacks of boxes and cylinders with .bmps mapped to the surfaces. Can’t see it happening - but would be great if there was a plugin for UE5 or something that made it quick and easy to make realistic (or realistically unrealistic) fat characters and churn out a game like this that looks like a triple A big budget game. The curse of creatives - having a vision and lacking the means to implement it.
I think that belly looks great!!! And I look forward to some day seeing this character, and a fatter Alice and Hannah, when you’re ready!
Alice is on the rare list of game characters that I miss spending time with
Would there ever be a chance to rename Alice to whatever name you could choose or would it be too much work to change every name to a variable that could be chosen?
