The Weighting Game - WIP

Does anyone know any easy to access events that end up lowering romance? I want to see some of the lower romance options in this playthrough, and I think whatever I do normally ends up raising romance a lot.

The only thing I recall lowering romance is at the “Are You a Feeder?” question - if you push the blame on her she takes a romance hit… Hmm, other than that the only thing I can suggest is avoid giving her compliments and tease her often. Hit up all the jerk options you can- such as when you’re watching a slushy romance movie or when she reveals herself in sexy lingerie. Should be a laugh to see you stick it to her! XD

There’s an event I’m trying to get to trigger in 0.5final that was bugged in 0.5test that I can’t seem to figure out how to trigger, here’s the save file if anyone wants to load this up in either 0.5test or 0.5final (it’ll be bugged, but the text works so you can see which event I mean)… if anyone has any idea what conditions trigger this event, I wanna see if I can get it to fire in 0.5final.

Right now my wild guess is that she needs to be so heavy she could easily eat an entire pizza, but perhaps have low enough romance that she can’t drink six beers. It’s a pretty flimsy theory though because in my campaign alice has been drinking six beers for like 100 days.

@AlexKay you seem to be an expert at understanding the game’s logic though, so maybe if you loaded up my save file you’d instantly notice which event I mean and know what triggers it. My original theory was she had to be too fully to eat an entire pizza yet not to fully to order an entire pizza (after the pub)… but no matter how many permutations of events I went through I just couldn’t figure it out in 0.5final … despite having seen this event fire maybe a half dozen times randomly and without realizing why in 0.5test…

My theory though is that the event was firing at the wrong time in 0.5test, perhaps accidentally ignoring a romance related requirement, or heck, maybe I’m way off base, maybe I just need to restart my campaign entirely instead of always loading a save from 0.4 from before the ending of 0.4.

edit: Oh also, I tease her constantly, but I think once her fatconfidence reaches a certain amount teasing works the same or similarly as complimenting, so that option to potentially lower romance vanishes. Of course I could simply restart entirely and avoid romance, since it’s apparently so hard to lower?

Heh, I wouldn’t profess to being an expert - just some observations from the 0.4 version which inadvertently had a debug console left active so you could see additional stats.

I think I know which scene you mean however, as I think in the 0.5 Test version the images weren’t loading correctly- and it’s as you say, when she’s greedy enough to order pizza after beers but too full to finish it. If you are having trouble loading it then it may be something to raise with @tiggertoo - for all we know the scene may have been cut if it was bugged.

For what it’s worth though, I was pretty much going full (heh) romance and the scene would still attempt to trigger so I don’t think romance, high or low, is a trigger there.

I mentioned it to him already but he didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with it, that I could tell.

It’s possible though that the window of how full she has to be is very narrow, like more narrow than a single trip to the cafe potentially, that’s been my main method of searching for this event save at around 18 when she’s 1cafe trip away from being totally full and then invite her to my house.

I think you’re the one maybe? who pointed out that romance is heavily tied into how the pub events play out though, so it’s possible that with a lower romance the event might fire? It’s possible that it was firing too often due to a bug that’s been fixed and now this rare event is even more rare, but intentionally so. Which tiggertoo wouldn’t spoil.

From my testing it also seems that going shopping and then choosing “let her rest” might actually have a net negative change on overall fullness, moreso than even just skipping hours doing nothing. Which seems odd, but well, maybe it’s not odd, given what the other option for that event is

edit: @AlexKay Really though, if you know what event I mean, then, have you seen the event ever appear in 0.5 final? if yes, I can stop hunting for it, because I’ll know it’s not bugged, simply rare.

Ahhh I finally figured it out!!! That event is supposed to occur early on, and it’s really really easy to trigger in new save games. I think it’s basically impossible to trigger it in the 0.5 section of the plot because alice’s stomach is too big to be unable to eat an entire pizza yet still want pizza! duh silly me!

So the bug in 0.5 test was that it was occurring under the wrong conditions and that’s probably why it wasn’t working properly either.

I’m almost positive I only triggered that scene in the new section, but I haven’t played in a while so memory may be hazy. I’ll give the new release a look-in later today to corroborate findings.

Nah, I’m now 100% on it, it’s actually a scene you can see in week one or two. It was an error for it to appear in section 5, and that’s probably why it didn’t have images, the images for alice being that fat probably don’t exist for the event. I was just confused, because I figured if alice was the right amount full, it would trigger, but really what matters is her maximum stomach capacity I think, which has to be smaller than an extra large pizza for the event to fire.

It was ignoring this check in 0.5test and throwing up the event in a phase of the game it wasn’t meant to exist in.

Essentially it was all my own confusion, mostly caused from never having ever restarted entirely cleanly.

I’m pleased you worked out what it was! I really wasn’t looking forward to yet another night of bug testing :stuck_out_tongue:

Since I have no idea what the code looks like I can’t really tell myself being dumb apart from a bug

You’ve probably got more idea than I have… It’s more luck than judgement that the thing (more or less) works :stuck_out_tongue:

Forgot to mention that the final version of 0.5 is now up on the Patreon page.

The next version is (probably, I’m still mulling it over) going to be a little different. I’ll either be carrying the story where 0.5 leaves off, or, more likely, revisiting the start of the game and adding all the bits that I never had time to do the first time round. New replayable scenes, more varied text, that sort of thing…

Does the story have a set destination in mind, curiously? Given the optional decisions to be found with Hannah and Becca, I could imagine multiple ending scenarios on the cards.

The short answer is yes, I’ve had a definite ending planned almost since I first started the game.

The more complex answer is that I keep moving the goalposts! Hannah was originally going to be much less involved than she is, which has caused quite a bit of the story to be changed, and as for Becca, I freely admit to making her up as I go along :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I’m enjoying thinking things up for her pretty much on the spur of the moment and seeing how that alters the overall plot.

I was always planning on more than one ending. The original ending will still work, but I’m fairly sure there’ll now be more endings than I’d orginally conceived.

To be honest, seeing Alice’s struggles with her weight overtime makes me want to look away from the weight gain fetish, I know it’s fictional, but it is a realistic depiction, it just shows the strong consequences of this fetish.

If a game as mild as mine makes you that uncomfortable then yeah, I’d have to agree that you’re probably in the wrong place…

Hi,
what is hanna’s last scene on 0.5?
I feel like I’m missing something

Sent you a PM to answer this.

Nope. It was just WG related. All I suggested was more “stuffed” states for Alice (as it stands there are currently two) would like lower levels of stuffed in the early game where she describes herself as just full, and higher levels of stuffed in the late game where she is too full to move with additional dialog that she needs to spend the night even if she has stuff to do in the morning, more interactions/dialog with Alice when she is stuffed regardless of where you are with her (dinner date at home, movies, pub, etc), more convincing her to eat more even when she is full, rewarding the MC with additional dialog for pushing Alice to eat more, having Alice occasionally text the player with a random invitation to go out somewhere, having Alice be able to stop by the players home for more than just “dinner”, “watch TV” and “after jogging shower” and having Alice get actually get upset at the MC if he didn’t fulfill her appetite when she is at higher greed levels.
My original comment was a bit more detailed than this before it was deleted. Very frustrating.

That doesn’t sound like something they’d delete… are you sure you posted it? Patreon is VERY buggy for me and it eats my comment like half the time, but in these cases it simply never appears at all… it doesn’t vanish later.
