(V1.107 UPDATE!) Fat Fleet out now!

100% one of my top favorites on this site, great job with this! i can see this becoming a lot better if you guys continue to work on it even more. my suggestion is that bosses should drop food like the jelly enemies when they reach the little notches of their health bar, which fixes both issues with going into a boss at lv1 being unwinnable, and not getting enough GP to parry bosses on the later stages.

It’s a fun game
I have a slight idea though
what if there was a new character but with a lower capacity which gets bigger whenever she pops
so she starts at 8kcal and pops but the next pop is at 20kcal and so and so forth
her stats are reversed so at smaller sizes, she’s slower and shoots more but as she gets bigger she moves faster but shoots faster but less bullets

for those that don’t know, to gum a boss they must DIE to the gum attack, so using a gum attack at 10% is pretty easy to do and gets you a gumed boss to eat and this gives you access to something interesting

So I saw there was already a custom sprite in the games folders and I have the option enabled
However for some reason sally is still her default colours?
Is there something I’m missing?

Hot, 8/10 keystroke keystroke

@DoubleCapProductions Thank you. Remember to add a reply here since you’ve updated the first post with your new patch info as well.

Leaving this as a mental note for myself to share balancing tips (from a player perspective) and guides for other players once I reach stage 50.

I made fanart! Here’s my favorite cake lady, Vibrant Vanilla, being as lovely as ever! ^w^

What does watch your weight mode actually do? I can’t seem to notice any differences.

No bonuses from reaching max weight- So no helpers providing useful bubbles if you float, and no screen clear from bursting (pressing up or firing at max, unsure if it’s something different with the toggle for bursting off)

I had to actually go and check this cause I’d never played the mode. I assumed reaching max weight would take a life or something.

EDIT
After playing the mode some more- getting too large does actually take a life. Enemies shots add to your weight level, defeating bosses still gives points but doesn’t return the weight, but losing to a boss does.

Goddamn the waves past like 40 are brutally unfair, been trying to get the survive till wave 50 achievement on basic or mixed but I might just give up and do it on simple.

It would be cool as a sort of meta progression if we could upgrade the character’s meter for how many parries they can store overtime. Just a random idea I had as it would definitely make those later levels more possible to get through.

A sort of meta progression system would be neat, being able to upgrade character stats. Maybe that’s what the campaign mode will be?

You’re very welcome! I’ll definitely have to draw more fanart of her as well as some of the other characters from your game in the near future. Your designs are lovely!

Oh btw I got it on my phone with winlator

I love shmups, the game is cute and the music is great, but how am I supposed to get the vore secret?

When you go into a boss with fat on, you lose it all and it goes into the boss. Eating the cake pellets the bosses drop when they hit them doesn’t get you enough kcals to do an ultimate attack? I’m so confused? I even went into cheat mode and still couldn’t get anything.

Your key is the Bubblegum Cake power-up (which you can only get as Sally). Basically, you need to bring the bubblegum power-up into a boss fight and then use it to finish off the boss. That’s the trick.
