!!Welcome to "Abducted! A (WG)HFY Story"
This is currently just a Demo of what the game will eventually become. I had a lot more content planned, but it'll take some time for it to get implemented.
So for now, I'm releasing what I've got to see what sticks. I hope you enjoy!
[[Begin->preinit]]
[[Credits and other stuff]]Before we get started, please type in a name.
<<textbox "$name" "Default Name" "continue">>
Once you enter your name, press Enter to continue.
(Sorry, this is all the customization that's available for the time being. I may add more options in future updates, though)<<nobr>>

Well, seeing that you don't have a name, I guess we'll call you "$name"
<</if>>
<</nobr>>
Hello, $name.
This story is fairly story driven at the beginning, so there is a prologue that doesn't have much Weight Gain in it.
You can skip this prologue if you want to get straight into the thick of it, or you can start from the prologue so you can have a better idea of what is going on.
<<set $sname to random(1000,9999)>>
What do you want to do?
[[Start with the Prologue->prologue1]]
[[Skip the Prologue->chapter1]] !!CHAPTER 0: Just another day...
You are $name, a human female living on a reasearch and mining base on Farfarout at the very edge of the Sol system.
Farfarout Base is quite old compared to most stations in the system, having been finished prior to the discovery of the first FTL Drive (as well as Artificial Gravity and Stasis Fields which, coincidentally enough, were all connected to the same scientific breakthroughs) several decades ago to be a launching point for extrasolar probes and ships.
Of course, that job went right out the window before they could even launch Voyager 3, and now it's little more than a galactic truckstop for any ships entering and leaving the Sol systems.
Of course, the station was refitted and modernized ever since humans could freely reach the station thanks to warp engines, but it still had the robust life support, agricultural, and water/air recycling systems the station was built with to keep it alive during the years it took for cargo ships to reach it.
Today, it seems crazy that people would ever like this far out in the solar system without having a way to get home, or even normal gravity for that matter.
You wake up in your apartment and get prepared for the day, cleaning off and getting dressed. Today is going to be a busy day, since the station is preparing for the arrival of the first ship to return from Humanity's first extrasolar colony, Huma.
What would you like to do first?
[[Go to work]]
[[Go to your kitchen->kitchen]]
[[Talk to ABBI]]
[[Head to the bathroom]]
[[Go back to bed]]
[[Look around->lookaroundapart]]You head out of your apartment to leave for work.
<<set $protime to 0>>
The "streets" of the base (which aren't much more than really big pressurized passages and tunnels) are somewhat crowded, but you just manage to catch the tram pod to the surface areas of the base.
After a short trip on the tram, you step out onto Sheppard Street and make your way towards the central hub of the station. It's a lot nicer on this level of the base, with large roof windows giving people a good view of the Oort Cloud off in the distance.
As nice as the view is, you don't have too much time to stop and watch. You make your way to the Central Hub of Farfarout Base. You walk through the lobby, passing the Voyager 3 probe on display, and head to the offices to clock in.
[[Continue->prologue2]]You enter your kitchen. Inside, there is a cabinet, a stasis fridge, and a Universal Meal Prepper. It's certainly more compact that a kitchen would've been a century ago, that's for sure.
What would you like to do?
[[Check the Cabinet]]
[[Check the Stasis Fridge]]
[[Leave->leavekitchen]]You call for ABBI, whose avatar pops up on your display.
"Good morning, $name." She warmly says.
ABBI, or Automated Base Bureaucratic Intelligence, is the AI in charge of controlling the station and making sure everything is in working order. She also serves as a Virtual Assistant to everyone on the station, helping them with day to day tasks.

Oh shoot.
You should probably hurry up and [[go to work->Go to work]]!

ABBI politely nods and disappears from her display screen, leaving you alone in the room.

<</if>>You are currently in your apartment. Where would you like to go?
[[Go to work]]
[[Go to your kitchen->kitchen]]
[[Talk to ABBI]]
[[Head to the bathroom]]
[[Go back to bed]]
[[Look around->lookaroundapart]]You enter the bathroom in your apartment. It's fairly basic, having a shower, a sink, an empty medicine cabinet and a toilet. Your water rations were used up when you showered this morning, though that is just one of the things you have to deal with when you're living in deep space.
On the bright side, they replaced the old low-gravity waste systems when they installed gravity generators on the base, so you've never had to live with those unpleasantries.
Even if you had any water rations left for the morning, you don't actually need to go, though there is a scale in the corner.
[[Step on the scale->prologuescale]]
[[Leave->leavebathroom]]You step up onto your scale.
<<set $protime += 1>>
After a few seconds, the scale comes up with the numbers "$lbs LBS"
<<if $lbs > 121>>
You're a bit heavier than the last time you stepped onto the scale, though you did just eat a big breakfast so that'd make sense. You'll probably have worked most of it off by the time it digests, anyway.
<</if>>
[[Leave the bathroom->leavebathroom]]You leave the bathroom.
<<display "apartment">>Ah yes, the cabinet. Not nearly as impressive as the Stasis Fridge (or even an ancient Refridgerator), but it's ok for storing non-perishables.
Speaking of nonperishables, the cabinet is lined with boxes of Automeal. You aren't quite sure what they put in them (nor are you sure you want to know), but you can make just about any meal out of it by pouring it into your Universal Meal Prepper.
<<if $breakfast == 0>>[[Make Breakfast]]<<else>>You've already had breakfast, so you don't need anything else from here.<</if>>
[[Check the Stasis Fridge]]
[[Leave->leavekitchen]]<<if $kitch == 0>>Ah yes, the Stasis Fridge. One of the great many inventions that came from the discovery of spacetime manipulation, right up there with FTL travel and Artificial Gravity. Anything that is put in a Stasis Fridge is frozen in time until you take it out, meaning that any food you put in there will be just as fresh as when you put it in, and at the exact same temperature to boot!
You open the fridge and find... Nothing.
<<set $kitch to 1>>
Oh right, you need to go grocery shopping today after work.
<<else>>You know, looking in your fridge over and over won't magically refill it.
Maybe someone will invent an auto-refilling fridge next decade.<</if>>
<<display "kitchen2">>You leave your kitchen<<if $breakfast > 0>>, having eaten breakfast<</if>>.
<<display "apartment">>You can't go back to bed, you have to go to work soon!
<<display "apartment">><<set $lbs to 120>>

[[Check the Cabinet]]
[[Check the Stasis Fridge]]
[[Leave->leavekitchen]]You grab a box of Automeal and pour the powdery substance into your Universal Meal Prepper. After scrolling through the Breakfast Section of the UMP's touchscreen display, you decide to prepare pancakes and bacon, pressing the Start button on the screen.
<<set $breakfast to 1>><<set $lbs += 1>>
After a minute or so of gurgling, humming and hissing, the UMP lets out a "Ding!" to let you know that it's ready.
You pull the warm plate out of the Prepper and put it on the counter and eat breakfast.
<<set $protime += 1>>
[[Have Seconds]]
[[Leave->leavekitchen]]Your apartment is pretty simple. There's a bed in one corner, a display screen on one wall and a desk, which you keep your computer and your VR system on when you aren't using it. There is also a pair of doorways to your kitchen and bathroom. Other than the small size, it's a pretty nice apartment.

[[Head to the bathroom]]
[[Go back to bed]]What the heck, you could go for seconds today. After all, it's going to be a busy day. You prep and eat a second serving of pancakes.
<<set $lbs += 1>><<set $protime += 1>>
<<display kitchen2>>You spend a few hours working at the Central Hub's offices, until ABBI pings you to let you know that your shift has ended. As you got out of your seat, an alarm started blaring. You don't recall which alarm this is for, but it sounds like something important.
As you are making your way through the lobby, there is a massive crash that shakes the station, followed by a voice from the intercom.
//"Attention, there has been multiple breaches reported in the base. Please find your nearest evacuation zone as soon as possible. I repeat, find the nearest evacuation zone as soon as possible!"//
You are currently in the Hub Lobby.
[[Exit->sheppard1]]As you exit the central hub, you see one of the Terran Space Force warships that patrols around Farfarout doing a hard turn through the windows, firing its weapons at something out of your sight. Several projectiles strike the destroyer, punching straight through the space craft and splitting it in two.
Before the debris can rain down, shutters close over the massive windows of the dome and the emergency lights come on.
Where will you go?
[[South, down the street->sheppard2]]
[[East, into the alleyways->alley1]]
[[West, towards the dockyards->towardsdocks1]]You decide to head south along Sheppard Street, following the crowd.
As the crowd shuffles along, it is eventually stops and piles up at a closed blast door, with a handful of security officers keeping the crowd back. Suddenly, there is a clang, and something starts to cut through the thick door! The crowd starts to panic and disperse.
Which way will you go now?
[[North, back towards the Hub->shep1-2]]
[[East, towards the Tram Station->tram1]]
[[West, into an open maintenance shaft->proend1]]Seeing how crowded the main streets currently are, you decided that it might be a good idea to try and get to safety through the "alleyways" of the station, which were just smaller walkways and maintenance shafts.
Eventually, after almost getting lost in the tunnels a few times, you manage to reach an Evacuation bay and board one of the escape pods. Once the pod is loaded, it launches into Farfarout's orbit and you let out a sigh of relief...
...Then you see the large ship approaching your pod.
[[Continue...->profinal]]You make your way back up to the end of Sheppard Street, outside the Central Hub.
Further down the street, you can hear the sound of gunshots and other gunshot-like sounds... It's probably not a good idea to go that way anymore.
Where would you like to go?
[[East, into the alleyways->alley1]]
[[West, towards the dockyards->towardsdocks1]]You take the west street towards the docking bays, weaving through the panic and chaos of the passages.
Once you reach the docks, you manage to catch a ride on a small cargo ship, which launches and heads back towards the Inner Solar System.
While the ship is making its run, a large ship almost manages to cut it off.
Seeing what was happening, the captain of one of the remaining Terran corvettes ordered a desperate ramming attack on the intercepting ship.
Their situation was hopeless, but they could at least guarantee the safety of the evacuatees.
As the corvette collides with the ship, the cargo vessel manages to slip past and rev up its warp engine to get away from the fight as quickly as possible.
[[Continue->prologuewin]]As you run down the street towards the Tram Station, you see a chunk of the door get knocked away, and the guards start to open fire. A handful of the guards fall to some sort of returning fire, and the rest of the guards fall back to try and find better cover.
Then, a handful of large creatures in heavy armor came through the hole in the door.
When you reach the tram, you turn and see that one of the creatures was looking towards you.
You frantically try to get the locked door open as the creature gestures towards you and the rest start to approach you...
[[Continue...->profinal]]You make your way into the maintenance shaft. Suddenly there is a flash and a tug of wind ahead of you, quickly followed by an emergency door slamming closed in front of you.
Behind you, a massive chunk of the blast door comes crashing down and the security guards start shooting.
Something from the other side of the door returns fire, causing a handful of the guards to fall down and the rest to fall back...
[[Continue->proend1-2]]//The insectoid beings clad in their powered armor made their way through the hole they cut through a the thick blast door. A hand of small, dead bipeds laid on the ground, with primitive armor and weapons.//
//As the squad prepared to move on, one of the insectoids noticed a cowering biped in one of the smaller crevices out of the corner of his eye. The little biped looked a bit odd, having a patch of hair on its head and a weirdly proportioned body that looked... Well, it looked rather squishy.//
//The insectoid couldn't help but think that these new sapiets were kinda adorable.//
//He called over to the rest of the squad to inform them that he found a prisoner.//
[[Continue...->profinal]]//By the time the Terran Fleet got word of the attack on Farfarout and arrived to reinforce the defense, whatever had attacked the station was long gone. The Human destroyers and corvettes that had been in guarding the dwarf planet having been smashed to pieces. There were a handful of other destroyed ships that clearly weren't human, but only destroyed husks remained in the loose orbit.//
//Terran Marines dropped down onto Farfarout to make sure the base was safe and to relieve any remaining holdouts of security guards.//
//The Farfarout Security Force had taken heavy losses, but they had managed to keep whatever had attacked the station from breaching the lower levels or most of the escape pod zones. Most of the escape pods were scooped up by the rescue force, though a handful were still unaccounted for by the time the Space Force finished their sweep...//
[[Continue->chapter1]]Congratulations, $name, you escaped the grasp of an alien invasion and won the game!
That said, I'm guessing you probably didn't want to win this way. Especially considering how little "content" there actually was in this part of the game.
So I'll give you a few options here: You could go ahead and try again by entering a new name (or the same name, if you want) and pressing Enter here:
<<textbox "$name" "$name" "continue">>
Or you can go back to the starting menu [[here->init]].
Honestly, both options basically lead to the same outcome, one just has less steps. But there really isn't much else to do here.!!CHAPTER 1: FIRST CONTACT
//HIGH MINISTRY OF XENOSCIENCE//
//Following a routine patrol by the Imperial Voidfleet's Task Force TOSEV, reports have been filed for a First Contact situation with a spacefaring race of Carbon-based bipeds.//
//A scouting force of Task Force TOSEV made contact with a fleet of primitive warships and a rudimentary starport at the very edge of a 9-Planet system, and was met with unexpected resistance.//
//While the unidentified fleet was destroyed and the port was briefly seized, the patrol was forced to withdraw to avoid further casualties, as more unidentified ships were moving in from the inner planets. While all ships involved in the incident are now out of service for repairs, a hand of live specimens and countless alien objects, including a biped (designated SUBJECT-$sname), were obtained during the incident and briefly examined by science officers that accompanied Task Force TOSEV.//
//The anatomy of these bipedal aliens is rather unusual compared to the galactic standard. The dense bone structure and small stature are close to the standard for a creature from a higher-than-standard-gravity planet. However, these aliens do not have a sufficiently-sized stomach to store enough food to keep them alive for long periods of time, and seemingly lack any form of energy sacs to store energy and nutrients in after digestion. Yet, they do not begin to starve while their stomach is empty.//
//On top of that, the creatures have a squishy coating of some sort all across their body. We are not certain, but we believe that studying this coating may give us further insights into the unique biology of these small creatures.//
//Further testing on SUBJECT-$sname at a proper facility, as well as a study on the language of this species, is advised.//
<<set $lbs to 120>>
[[Continue->wakeup]]You wake up feeling quite woozy, your memories of the last few days being rather fuzzy. You remember there was some sort of attack...
As your memories start to return to you, you start to remember what happened. Aliens attacked Farfarout Station, and captured you during the fighting!
You look around, and your surroundings confirm your memories. You are in a very alien-looking, and rather large, room with a mix of oversized furniture and furniture that looks like it was taken from the various homes in Farfarout.
You have to admit, the room's a lot nicer than your apartment, even though it was rather haphazardly decorated.
[[Continue->intro]]As you get your bearings and try to wrap your head around your current situation, a pair of large insectoids enter the room. One of the insectoids is wearing armor like the ones that had abducted you, while the other was fiddling with some sort of tablet.
After tapping the tablet a few times, the insectoid spoke. "Good morning, Subject $sname" it said in an almost artificial-sounding voice, out of sync with its mouth movements. "You are now prisoner of the-" The translation cuts out and you hear the alien making various clicking sounds "-Empire. You will comply with us and be researched please."
Seeing that there's a well-armed-looking guard standing at the door, it may be a good idea to comply.
[[What do you want from me?->intro2]]
[[Nope, I'm resisting!]]Oh, ok.
Well, you try to escape and you get shot dead.
I mean I //tried// to warn you that the guard looked well-armed, so this is your fault anyway.
...
Anyway, I might actually add some content to this path in the future. But for now that's all that happens if you choose this option.
[[Back to Main Menu->init]]"For now we only need your cooperation. As long as you cooperate, you will be allowed to do go wherever you would like to within this facility. Now then, I need to go." The insectoid said before turning to leave.

There are also two doorways: An exit and and what you are assuming is a bathroom.

Your entire body jiggles whenever you make any sort of movement, and is seriously starting to hinder your ability to get around. Lately your utterly massive body has started hindering your ability to move to the point that getting around is quite difficult, and the fastest you can move is about as fast as a leisurely walking pace. Any type of movement has become a chore for you, so you've found that you've been spending more time laying around more than anything. And eating, obviously.<</if>>You look at your body in the mirror, having to step back to see your whole body. You can barely see your gut past your large chest unless you're sitting or laying down (in which case it becomes incredibly obvious) and one of your hips usually ends up rubbing against doorways, which is pretty worrisome considering how big these alien doorways are...
Exercise has become something that you absolutely dread, considering it takes a lot of energy to even get out of bed or even off the couch.
