A karma based system

What would happen if you added a system with other people, and depending on what you do to their likes or dis-likes will increase or decrease said stat. And said stat would make things better or harder for you? So, it would depend on their dilolouge on what they wanted?

This isn’t so much karma as it is NPCs’ likeability towards you. The way relationships will work is every NPC will have a series of conversations, and you can start a new conversation with them every in-game day. They will like you more or less based on your responses during the conversation, and this will affect the subsequent interactions you have with them. Every NPC will be different, with some having few conversations and others having long chains and a rewards for completion depending on your likeability with that NPC.
