I’m curious if submission rule 4 ( All entries must be submitted as a standalone game. We should not need access to the engine the game was built on to run it) effects the eligibility of Quest games, since I’m not sure if it counts as an engine and you have to download Quest to play games made using it offline, but not online?
It does not effect games that can be played through a browser or requires some form of a free 3rd party software to play. The rule is more aimed towards preventing people from just dropping project files and then saying download Unity or RPGMaker to play.
I general we have seen this more with RPGMaker games. So rule 4 is more just saying make sure your game does not require a user to have to buy anything or download anything massive just to play it.
