So basically, I was going to sleep one day then thought about a game I liked and asked myself “What if I made that inflation like?” so uh. yeah. RUNDOWN!
Generic rougelike game of this nature: go in rooms, get things, get big, probably pop or something idk. But more in depth… each inflation state can help or hinder you on your journey. I’ve only fleshed out Airy, Fatty, and Juicy so far.
Airy: faster speed, hits light, weakness against sharp objects. Special: can float
Fatty: Slowest speed, hits hard, weakness against faster enemies. Special: defense up
Juicy: Slower speed, hits hardest, weakness against brutes. Special: auto self-heal
Enemies will probably be the main reason you get into these states, but more on the enemies. Sharp objects include swords and bows and brutes includes people who use their body as a weapon or straight hands (berries can be squeezed, thats why their the weakness.) and the cursed (either by being berrified or things stated bellow)
There can also be cursed items in there, such as:
The sports bra of steadyness: your upperhalf doesn’t grow, leads to a bottom heavy shape
The corset of tightness: your middle doesn’t grow, leads to a hourglass shape
The leggings of firmness: your bottom doesn’t grow, leads to a top heavy shape. I still don’t know how they’ll affect gameplay but yeah.
For the story, a novice adventurer (YOU! YOU CONTROL THEM!) has heard tales from more experienced adventurers about a dungeon that changes with every room that a person enters. Cursed by the Goddess’ of Wind, Gluttony, and Nature themselves. Why? idk I haven’t thought of that part yet. Anyone who dared to go in hasn’t came back and have been lost… Hearing that you decide to go anyways! You convinced one of your Mom’s best friends, an advanced mage, to put a tethering spell on you, allowing you to travel at least 25 rooms before bringing you back to her house. Will you find riches or will you find something you thought was fiction…
I only fleshed out two enemies btw… the blue squird and a cloud elemental. the squid wont attack unless you provoke it, if you do it’ll start to spray blueberry juice. the wind elemental will fill you with wind, once it gets mad at around half health it’ll turn into a thunderstorm and just straight up attack you.
Okay thats it byyeeee!
