a totally original beat-em-up game idea

oookay, from what i could gather, this is pretty common to submit an idea and leave it floating on the forum. and i’d rather not keep this trend up, so i’m really looking forward to making this idea a reality, just sometime later (eventually…)
all in all, pretty basic entry of the genre.

(didn't know if i should spoil or not so open at your own discretion)

casual day in the city of Longfort. main character, shark, unnamed for now, is heading to her gym training. she overhears a conversation of two strangers about weird clouds heading towards the city, but doesn’t give it much attention. after a rather exhausting workout, her trainer asks if mc could be careful on the way home, for he has a strange feeling that something bad is coming. she assures the (species undecided) that she’ll be fine, cuz “all those visits to gym couldn’t have been for nothing”. but as soon as she walks a few meters down the road, she is ambushed by a strange agressive creature.

other aspects:

enemies

i haven’t got any ideas for special abilities of them
enemies can damage you via basic attacks, or perform grab attacks.
if you’re grabbed, they begin to force feed you, filling up your capacity meter.
to escape, mash movement buttons.

for bosses, i could only think of sugar kraken and the vixen behind the whole disaster. no images, sorry.

map/locations

there will be 4 main zones:
The Fity
Shopping Mall
Outskirts
The Factory
each consists of 5 regular levels and 1 boss level. there will be secrets and easter eggs on most of them.
from the map screen, you will be able to access gym and other significant location at any time (this will load them as a level, rather than simple part of ui)

combat and fatness mechanics

basic movement: up down, left right, jump crouch. basic attacks, although you will be able to learn much more powerful ones after defeating bosses at the end of a level and later reporting to the tutor (gym trainer).
stomach capacity decides how slow your movement is, and weight - how powerful your attacks are. weight can be gained either from prolongued exposure to forcefeeding, or resting (out of battle, going afk or something). the parameters (stomach capacity, weight limit, conversion rate, etc.) can be improved by doing side quests and earning currency. while stomach isn’t empty you slowly recover health (only out of battle).
you can burn fat at a gym in exchange for combat upgrades.
possible feature: weight carries on from one level to another, so it is advised to spend it on upgrades, or sleep it off.
undoubtedly, it is also advised not to get stuffed at the very first level.
i’ll add some more stuff when i think of it, or pick from suggestions if there will be any.

cannot really think of anything else to add. i will be updating this msg with new images and info. but i’m not willing to actively work on actually developing this 8|
