I remember I had the same problem, but as far as I remember, I either start the zone over, or reopen the game, or just kept gaining.

I was poking around this again and paying closer attention to the stories Quistis tells and I tend to recognize the reference but this one eludes me.
"-She tells you a story about an alien and their AI who crash land on a desolate and uncharted planet. Their ship’s power network had failed, and they were left stranded.
But the alien was not willing to give up! They found a way to retain and distribute energy into their very physical being, risking damage and causing permanent alterations to her body!
With her power of will, figuratively and literally driving them forward to get home, they go about fixing their ship so they can at last be free from their planetary prison. Many challenges still lie before her, as she must learn to live with or willingly accept the changes and alterations that have befallen her body-
During a long dramatic pause you are left sitting there, chewing in silence.
“Being stranded all alone, but surviving off sheer force of will and determination, all the while risking changes to your physical form. I know I could never be strong enough to achieve such a feat as that.” Her hands clasped together, her beady eyes staring off into the distance.
The concept of the story sounds somewhat familiar, but you cannot say for sure…"

Hm… there is a part similar to halo, where the master chief and cortana crash with their ship and she puts him into stasis to make sure he survives until rescued.
But I have a feeling thats not quite the story that this story is based on.
It seems very familiar but I don’t know why.

Well the other two she’s mentioned are pretty clearly Trails in Tainted Space or Noone’s Fatty Text Adventure Game so I assumed this one was a fetish game too.
