About the GET LARGE Jam category

With the recent deindexing of all fetish/adult/NSFW content on itch, we are committing to linking everyone’s submission on Weight Gaming so that people can actually find them.

The Jam itself will still be hosted on itch. You can join it here GET LARGE Jam - itch.io

Per itch’s game jam rules your entry must be free so the payment processor issues should not affect us. If this changes and erotic content is completely banned from Itch we will find an alternative means for you to host your entry somewhere and move the whole jam over to this category.

You may notice that creating topics here is locked. To minimize moderation burden on WeigthGaming’s admins we’ll be creating the topics for each entry for you.

Last second hailmary, but just in case this is a valid place to recruit:

I can code a renpy VN and I can make daz3d renders. I’d be looking for a writer to write a script for a VN themed around some sort of getting large. Female growth only. Preference for WG but a jam would be a good chance for me to try other related inflation or expansion fetishes. I’d probably be less proficient at inflation or other alternate expansions but that also means I’d be less of a perfectionist, could be fun.

Yes I look a bit dead on deviantart, I lack for inspiration, hence asking if anyone wants to write for me for a jam

Been thinking about your post. Very very tempting, but pretty sure I’m not going to have time right now with when this is landing. Plus, I’ve already false started three different stories in the last couple of years; just been fighting engines and coding for more complex game play scenarios…

But maybe that’s where a Jam could be nice, just try and do something a bit more linear and shorter to-the-point.

I too haven’t done much on DeviantArt lately, but an old piece of my prose is there; even if I’m a bit rusty still: https://www.deviantart.com/drxprime/art/Woman-in-the-Shadows-Part-1-599012904 - Never did decide to take it further. Feel free to drop me a line if you want to bounce any ideas around and see if anything sticks once the theme’s announced. I generally try to check-in on what’s going on around here every few days.

I never know where to post things. :weary: I might also post to itch.io. It seems slightly less fragmented and encourages more discussion in threads here, but whatever.

Here are three ideas that I will not be using that I leave open for anyone that wants to try them. Remember, two people can spin off of the same idea and end up with very different games.

  • Snackshack Problem: Pack people of different sizes into progressively smaller and differently shaped busses. Each stop, the passengers grab food and get bigger by different amount. Tetris + knapsack problem. Probably lends itself well to cutesy graphics.
  • Pack Ma’am: Travel from city to city sampling the food. Traveling Salesman Problem. Click different cities or paths inside cities to find the shortest-path Hamiltonian cycle. Simple assets would work well here.
  • Overweight Baggage: You’re headed home from the other side of the world. The bad news is you have about ten different transfers. The worse news is that you seem to be getting fatter rapidly. Find your gate at each stage before you attract too much attention. This could be either a stealth game or a faster paced search and memory game. It’s mechanically the simplest of the bunch to implement but requires a fair number of assets.

I’m thinking of doing this: Drivin’ for Dine-ins: Drive across the country and at each stop select from one of three different restaurants with different star reviews and rating counts. Secretary Problem with a little bit of Oregon trail.

Who knows, maybe this idea will be a dud a few days into it, but for now I’m going to give it a spin.

Day 1: I am so sleepy.

I spent most of today trying different ways of setting up the tour and interruptions. I’m also just getting sick. :c The player does succeed in touring across the country.

Day Whatever: It has been a long week and now it’s time for the weekend jam effort. Progress is slow but not stopped. I’m not as happy with this idea as when I started but at least things are moving.

Day the Last: I decided that most of the game wasn’t really fun so I did a stupid thing and took out a bunch of the code. Now the main thrust of the game is eating competitions rather than leaving reviews and it’s a lot more fun and interactive. There’s still a math problem underpinning it - square packing anyone?

I don’t know if I’ll have too much more time to work on it. I wanted to add random things like finding gas-station pills to help with digestion and negotiating with restaurant owners.

I had to cancel my submission for the jam. My house got partially flooded mid-way through the jam and I had to stop developing to deal with that. It also doesn’t help that I misread the theme for the jam and was making something unrelated.

I think I’m going to shelve my game for later, but I’ll come back to it eventually. For the curious, it was going to be an SMB2 style game with an emphasis on foods types and animal diets.

@PeachClamNine I had issues submitting our game at the last minute, we just published it here: Modern Maid by Dr. X', SexyFatGirlRenders

I didn’t realize I had to make the page public before submitting it to the form, so it wasn’t letting me select the project. My partner didn’t realize we had more to do.

Can you add it to the list manually for us please? We worked really hard on this, what we have is polished, even if we didn’t get to finish our story.

Edit: I see my partner contacted you as well, thank you so much for your understanding and patience. We’re happy to step aside from any prize, we just wanted to participate and be listed as part of the jam having worked towards it these past two weeks. I’m excited to try the other entries!

Congratulations everyone!

It’s been sorted out. What’s a few minutes between peers?

Really appreciate you being so cool. It really means a lot. It’s great to see so many submissions!

Well done everybody!

Voting should be open now, right? I was hoping to leave some ratings on the first bunch of games published but I’m not seeing any stars on their jam pages, and their main pages only say, “Rate for Jam” and take me to the jam page.

We actually have four or five judges from pervious Gain Jams who will vote on the games! Anyone who joined and still rate and leave comments.

We did it this way because we weren’t sure if we’d get enough entries to do peer judging. Happy to see a good turnout.

I can leave comments now, but rating seems to be disabled for me. I could rate before the jam closed, though, so I’m guessing once judging is up I’ll be able to do that again?
