Feeding the Queen DOES work, and the weight gain also works. I don’t have separate dialogues for how much she’s eaten yet, so she just says the same thing no matter what you feed her, if you feed her anything or not.
She could only eat foods that you’ve cooked, and each cooked food has it’s own calorie count. You can tell about how many calories they provide by the number of stars in their icon, with more stars giving more calories. Every 3500 calories provides 1 pound to her.
Sorry about my behavior before; what i was trying to say is that it appeared that when i was feeding her actually cooked dishes, two 1 star meals on two separate occasions, it didn’t appear as if anything actually happened, but going back with 2 meals at once did fix that.
My (OUTDATED) complaints about the damage of enemies without a free heal did still stand slightly, however, since i figured out that i can equip and use the fireball spell (and how it worked) i was able to get potions more often and my health complaints quieted down.
(PSA to players reading, right click the numbered squares at the bottom and that’ll help you a lot)

*NOTE: this isn’t actual gameplay, just a test (though all frames are in-game)
Already rolling on in to the next update lol… (this is for 0.5.0!)
I’m a huge fan of the painful side of stuffing and weight gain, so I’m adding overfeeding, stretchmarks, and more than a handful of complaints and pained expressions… but this WILL be optional and purely cosmetic! It won’t have any baring on the actual gameplay or story of the game, but it sure is a fun mechanic for me to implement and play with.
How do I get bacon? Is it just random chance from the Swinebacks or is there a trick to getting it to drop consistently? (Like last hitting with the fireball spell)
it’s a rare drop! I think it’s a 25% chance? Possibly 10%? I forget. But it’s hard to get.
If we buy the paid version, we can be able to download later versions and also transfer our saves right?
You will be able to freely download new versions and transfer saves, yup!
Is there currently a way to use spells or utilize magic power? I only see a way to attack with E for physical damage as it stands
Right click on your skill slots and you can assign them to spells and items
I’m sorry for the late reply and I hope you have found the answer to your question by now! If not, I try to answer any questions you may have in The Gourmand’s Guide to Survival
Simply right click the slot in the hotbar where you want an attack or item to go in, choose from your skills bag or items bag, and then the list of skills or items, and you should be able to use your skills by pressing whatever corresponding key their slot demands. Note that all your skills, except for your default attack, shoot off in the direction of your mouse.
I played demo long time ago and now i’m considering to buy it, but i need to know one thing.
Is it finally possible to somehow heal yourself for free, while being in castle?
After each visit to the queen, both HP and MP are refreshed to full
There are actually lots of ways to heal now.
- Every time you feed the Queen, you get a free heal (and the game autosaves)
- Every felled enemy now directly heals 25 HP and 25 MP
- There are Dungeon Events that will allow you to heal completely
- Opening red chests have a very high chance of giving you free Potions and Ethers
The game is completely balanced around normal mode, so easy mode may actually be TOO easy after all these additions. I find hard mode is a real fun and decent challenge, though.
