I’d also like to add that I think your writing is genuinely incredible (it is very reminiscent of disco elysium). The flashback sequences really pulled on my heartstrings and were very well done. After each one, I felt worse and worse for her and it made it harder for me to keep putting her through all the bad endings. It all paid off with the last one though. Really, I think you have a talent and I’d be interested in reading whatever else you’ve made.
wow, never realised there was more to the game! after seeing the message about getting all the endings, i just thought that was it. it could’ve been a good idea if there was smth that alluded to this, but at the same time it’s not that hard to do it, you know. although, i recall beginning the game after getting all the endings, but not seeing this flashback? i think that’s why i also missed it.
yea, it’s one of the greatest endings for Tiff, and this game in general. Man, Trevor’s family is the best. i think the main reason is the fact that she’s not obsessing over Zella, nor denigrating herself, nor actively transforming her body for her. she’s respectful and does a good job at work, and doesn’t need Zella to improve herself. plus, she’s pudgy!! it’s also full of potential, like their relationship could go anywhere from this point - with limits, ofc. sure Zella said she’s not a lesbian, but she also said that in the other endings, and look how those ended up. it’s very open for interpretations, love that. i’d like to imagine all the other endings as glimpses into parallel universes, and this being the actual one. very rewarding to get arguably the best ending after seeing everything - this is kinda like Doki Doki Literature Club, actually!
thanks for stating ur intentions, and yea i do think we’re saying the same thing in different ways. for me, the reason why, in my opinion, Tiff’s weight gain is a symbol for her improvement is because she’s in a happy relationship where that mostly happens. she has found meaning in her life, just like u said. it’s not necessarily her overcoming her trauma, but as she’s content, she’s healing from her past in a way. weight gain just happens to be a side effect of that most of the time but it doesn’t necessarily mean overcoming her trauma, and i seem to have oversimplified it when i said my theory, lmao. the one where she goes to therapy, and the one where she moves on, are indeed examples of that without the weight gain - well the therapy one is open for some weight gain in the future, but that’s not the focus like the others. u did well by implying that Tiff moving on from her trauma in one way or another is the better endings :]
i apologise for using that term. i have strong opinions on generative AI as u can tell lmao, and yea it doesn’t really apply to when it’s used in games. thank u for always be upfront about it. i did try ur other game Unstable Frienemies game yesterday, and yea the use of AI just irked me - don’t worry it’s not personal. but also as u said, the coin flip didn’t land well - i just wasn’t connected to the characters enough, and the gameplay mechanics didn’t entice me. i’m very glad that despite our differing opinions, we still respect each other’s points :]
i actually have an author friend who’s like this too! she can’t visualise anything and HATES writing descriptions. i’m a very visual person - everytime i read or write something, i always visualise that scene in my head. that’s why i struggled a bit to visualise Tiff and Zella because they were vague, but i totally understand ur POV on this. as i said, it works well without these, so there’s no need in adding those, actually. it’s a trick that u pulled well :]
Not by much! There was a chunk of text that was miscolored so something Tiffany said looked like another character was saying it. A single instance of non-obligatory gluttony was locked behind a skill check that was technically impossible - the offending checks have been adjusted so as to make the missing scene accessible. A bit of text that misled at least one person into thinking they had seen everything has been removed.
