Advice From A Lurker

I understand the idea behind this, but the whole first and second section of your post feel very similar to a thread from not too long ago that demanded people make their game more than just “girl get fat.” Obviously you’ve been much more respectful and constructive about your advice here, but still.

Very recently, there was also a string of posts on the Avril’s Appetite page where a guy got really mad that the game was trying to be MORE than just “girl get fat,” and I honestly don’t really understand why people are making this argument on either side. The amount of ‘normal’ content vs. fetish content that you enjoy in a game is purely personal preference, and I don’t think it’s really that productive to say “this method is better, so people should do it if they want to make better games.”

Once again, you were very respectful in your suggestions, which I can appreciate. And though the points that you were making wasn’t perfectly in line with what I’m talking about, I still think that people should try to be more aware of the fact that this kind of thing is 100% subjective. I agree with the idea that games are art, but I think it’s important to understand how that’s just not true to some people, and that they’re perfectly free to think that way.
