i have a character in blender, the animation consist on it expanding/growing a lot, i made it by applying several clothes physics proxies on it to reproduce soft surfaces and some jiggle (most of the body has) + shape keys and tweaks on internal pressure values, i want its clothes to squeeze it as it grows and then rip at a certain point, all of that with clothes physics on it for better effects, the problem is that blender’s cloth physics doesn’t allow such a complex process, and cloth on cloth interactions are extremely unstable and the results are way too bad, i want to avoid relying too much on shape keys because of the huge work load it will require + i want to animate more explosive results, EX: a shirt’s button popping and then suddenly opening (only relative to that button or the whole shirt), same for pants/ skirts buttons and some seams, how can i do it? complexity of the process is not really a problem but preferably to be reliable and be applicable on more scenarios, if not still give me your best shot
my first thought would be to have invisible collision objects that you move around to make it look like the cloth and fat are interacting with each other
