Apostles (Latest Update 0.11: July 2024)

That is…odd. To say the least. I though perhaps I left some sebastian lines on the doors, but I’m not seeing any at first glance. Is the game totally frozen? After you leave the basement you should first be able to head into Fresha’s house (The big one on the left side of the village above the mayor’s) and after that to the inn.

It just gives me Sebastian’s lines and portrait saying that he already did his work for the house.

I’m having the same issue as @JM1 - after the scene with Lily giving the girls tea, then exiting the church, all dialog/limitations of where I can go are Sebastion’s, even though my character sprite is Lily’s.

I went bsck into the church, and tried to go upstairs. A Seb dialog box came up saying he had things to do downstairs. Upon going downstairs, the game has blacked out with Seb’s music still playing.

If it helps, I always chose Lily when there was a choice of who to play as, my adventurers defeated cerberus, and the tanky adventure lost to the orc during her combat trials.

Again, awesome game!

Also, a bug report that I found but managed to work my way around - as Lily, when looking for Dina, if you get by the wolf, but then backtrack and don’t find Dina in that area (I did, not having explored the area with the villagers entering the cave yet and missing where to find Dina) upon returning the wolf will be where it was originally blocking the way, and no event will trigger with Lily taming the wolf.

Just found a bug. During Paul’s daydream, if you defeat the princess through regular damage, you get tossed back into the road area as a super slow, invisible character with no way I can find to advance from the scene.

Also, I downloaded the latest update and had the Violet bug, but I also had imported my save from a version before that bug fix, if that helps any. The two saves I had as Sebastian post-feast had Violet’s sprite showing on the save file, but the one I tried loaded with Sebastian right where I had left it.

Tried again except used Gretel for the search for Dina and had the tank adventurer lose to the skeleton. Everything worked fine and got to the end. Great game, and some fantastic writing! :relaxed:

Speak to the mayor here and select “Yes” to black out.

Love the story and progression of this game. Is it meant to end at the moment with the rescued girls and the tea with the stubborn one? That seemed like such a sudden end I felt like I’d accidentally failed something, but it didn’t seem like I’d made any decisions that failed.

No that’s not the end, I had the same glitch. Apparently if violet died in the adventurers’ section of the game it ends the game early. Waxe shared a save file that can get you past that point.

To everyone having the Lily is Sebastian glitch as I’ll call it what I did to get around it was take Waxered’s save and changed its name to one my existing save files name before replacing it. I got to walk around as normal and get to this versions ending, which will tell you it’s to the end of the current content.

I don’t know if it only worked for me or if it’ll help y’all too, hope it does.

Hey, I’m getting a glitch where, at the feast, I talked to everyone and when I talk to the mayor and choose “yes” I get a black screen. Waiting for a bit doesn’t seem to do anything, neither is pressing anything.

The save works. Oddly, the scrolling text fight with the adventurer siblings worked perfectly.

UPDATE: However, there’s another black screen freeze. This time it’s when Lily rushes out to get food after telling Sophie about the Leblouh.

I had that issue, WaxeRed uploaded a save right after that point:

There we go. Now that I’ve actually hit the real end of this version, I’m super happy with this project. It’s a wonderful story, with the slower, more considered pace that I love, taking itself as a story first and weaving the kink into it in a way that’s done well rather than sacrificing story for the sake of fetish. I can’t wait to see the slow-building payoffs in future updates.

Dang, thought I mad the Princess’s health high enough to prevent that but I will fix that. Thank you for the report.

And to all reporting the Lily/Sebastian bug I found the answer! For continence I copy and paste maps (rather then make The entire town from scratch each time.) And there was a hold over transport tile from the copy. There is meant to be a tile just before that blocking it, but as the player starts on it, if you immediately head backwards into the church you’ll get the bug. Fixed it and will updating the mega shortly. Thank you to all for reporting it.

Dang, the fact that the twin’s fight works and yet the Lebouh text freezes is even stranger. I’ll keep searching around for what could be causing this bug.

Ah, I hope the bug at the winter feast gets fixed in a future update. But out of curiosity, is there anything I’ve missed between then and the save right after that? I read in the posts that scrolling text fills up the black screen, or something. Anything about that I should know for the plot, or is it just a description of people eating and such?
