Apostles (Latest Update 0.11: July 2024)

Thank you very much for your kind words! It’s always a boost to productivity whenever I hear my game is being enjoyed by another!
I’m very happy to hear that Lady Cynthia has another fan. I was very worried that her sections would be too off-putting to be enjoyable, or that her music would clash too hard, but so far I’ve gotten quite a few people who enjoyed her content most of all!
Which is good because I like writing for her! Nearly every character needs to have some moral or philosophical “guidelines” I need to follow when I write for them, but Lady Cynthia is free to be as chaotic and evil as she pleases, which is very fun.

As for what’s next the first update for Atlas is my main focus, but once that is out I will eagerly return to Apostles to do a fun Lily update and sprinkle in some more Cynthia madness to boot!

Monthly Progress Report!

Still going strong on Atlas progress. With luck we hope to have something to play before the end of the year. After that, it’ll be a swap back into Apostles work to get update 0.11 out, then a return to Atlas, and so on. Atlas should have about 6-7 updates in total. Hope everyone enjoys both games!

You know, sometimes the world can seem like a dark place. But then I remember Thomas and Greg dabbing it up and everything becomes brighter
(Really, today I was a little down and remembering how great that scene was put a smile back on my face.)

In a game full of fatty goodness, the image of two bros broing it up is one of my favorite sprites as well, and all credit goes to CJ for making it look so awesome.

Sorry about your down day, hope the next one is better!

I’ve been thinking about L recently, and I ended up changing my opinion of her. Since she is an Apostle she can only truly relate to six other people in the world. She managed to become friends with two of them, but they don’t treat her as an equal. They hide things from her, have a special connection that they don’t with her, and she knows it. They tell her that they need to go to a new location every year which means that any connections she does manage to make aren’t permanent. During the scene where you get to choose who she has sexy times with out of 4 options we see that she is slowly losing touch with her contacts because of how busy she is (for sub female at least, I stupidly didn’t keep a save to see the other scenes). When Sophia and Veronica have a sweet moment with each other while L is in the room with them she leaves to cry because she can’t have that level of intimacy with anyone.

So L does what she can to get the attention that she desperately craves. L pushes her fetishes on Gretel even though she hates anything sexual because L wants her to be more comfortable with an important aspect of herself. She is interested in expressing herself through creative arts such as writing, and tries to get Sebastion to read them because reading is one of his interests, so he should love reading something that his friend wrote, shouldn’t he? She even does the mature thing and tell them how she feels. Sebastion is told in no uncertain terms that L wants to be closer with them.

If they don’t pay attention to her, then she tries to make them. She’ll act out by screaming, mocking, and trying to interfere with their prisoners (namely Heather). She will write things that would upset her friends, she talks back to them and will even challenge them on how to perform their mission. The biggest source of relief from the frustration of being eternally lonely? Currently, she has Hog. Someone who is evil and completely at her mercy. It doesn’t matter what she does to him as long as it acts as a deterrent for future acts of cruelty and she doesn’t kill him. Having such a helpless target means that every negative emotion that she has can be unleashed upon him in whatever depraved way that she can think of.

In this interpretation of her character, most if not all that complaints that I and others have for her are relevant to the core of her being and are important to include in the game. I still might not like some of the individual scenes with L that I complained about before, but I don’t hate them now, and I feel better about her character than I did before since what she did seems more purposeful than only being a joke.

Or I’m desperately trying to find excuses to like her more. Either or.

Damn. I always enjoy seeing when people connect certain events or come up with their own interpretations to events or character actions. But I can confidently say this is one of the best I’ve ever seen! While some of the details and connections you mentioned were ones I had in mind, others were ones I myself hadn’t thought of. At least I hadn’t thought of them before, I can guarantee that I’ll be keeping your interpretation of L in mind when making content for her in the future.

I’m glad that you found my ramblings useful! I figured that I had to be at least partially correct, but I never expected to be so correct that I altered the way that L was (consciously) written!

One thing I will say you definitely correctly touched on was L’s inability to form long term intimate relationships. Gretel and Sebastian are her friends, but they hardly hide that they keep secrets from her, and have conversations they don’t allow her to hear. They’ve both been in the world for hundreds of years, and have connections she knows exist but don’t know the details of. On the other hand Gretel and Sebastian have seen her entire life as an Apostle.

She has her connections to the people in the towns she helps, but there’s the knowledge that she will have to leave these people at the end of the year. And that keeps her back from ever getting too close to them, or fully opening up to them.

Lily actually made that mistake on the first village she went to, (the sub girl) . Lily and the girl dated, and having to leave her at the end of the year really broke Lily up. That pain is the reason why L, the Apostle of Lust, hasn’t tried to seriously date anyone in town.

Happy Holiday month everyone! I’ve got some exciting news! CJ and I are confident that we’ll be able to put out the first update for Project Altas just before the end of the year! It’ll come out for patrons, and trickle down the tiers, and come out fully free for the public sometime mid January!

The starter update will hopefully work as a good foundational update for what Project Atlas should be. Firstly introducing the characters and world, but also getting the systems in place for certain gameplay functions. (Though we may need to wait for the second update to see the full scope of the combat Project Atlas offers!)

Thank you everyone for your patience! Hope you enjoy the new game!

I will pick favorites by saying Apostles is my favorite game on this entire site. I’ve been following since the summer of 2020 and it’s still really stood out to me. I’m not super fast so I usually don’t finish an update until months after it’s out, for example I’ve done some of the latest update but haven’t finished it still…

I don’t usually share my feelings and I’m not going to go into specific details here, however I want to say that I have really strong feelings towards certain scenes in this game. I thought the stuff with Sebastian in the relatively recent update was very good. I also like the comedy, the large cast of characters, the interesting setting, and the dark subject matters.

I’ve heard that Project Atlas will have multiple protagonists as well, which is really cool. I’ve been following the development as a supporter since July or whatever and it has me pretty hyped. Maybe I’ll actually finish the newest Apostles update before the demo drops.

Thank you so much! Hearing kind words like this is always a huge boost in motivation! I’m glad the scenes with Sebastian and you-know-who were fun! I was worried they were going to be hated, but reaction to them has been positive! Plus it’s good to know both the comedy and the serious/dark moments are both working well together.

Thank you for your support on Project Altas! It’s been a lot of work to get the first update together, and I hope you enjoy the first full look into this new world!

January Progress report! Happy 2024 all!

Project Atlas is finally out! YAY! Currently it’s out on patreon for $5, will lower down to being out for $1 on the 10th, and will become free for all on the 20th. (Where I will give it it’s own page on Weight gaming)

The first update is about an hour long and is largely an introduction to the characters and world setting of the game. Hopefully all find this new world and cast interesting!

I’ve said it before, but the game dev’s formula is 1 hour of production time = less than a minute of actual play time. Never before than has that formula been so true. In the case of the combat section the formula was probably 100 hours of work = 10 minutes of play time.

BUT don’t take that as a statement of dissatisfaction! I am very proud of the work CJ and I did, and I hope everyone who plays enjoys it as well!

And I hope everyone who plays 1.0 sticks around for 0.2 where The MEAT (both story and actual meaty fat content) will be coming!

And for those of you who could care less about Atlas and just want more Apostles, well you are in luck! Apostles will be worked on in full again, with another Lily update in the works! But with inclusions for both Gretel and Sebastian!

PS that pink haired BITCH at the inn has escaped Lily’s wrath on way or another for 5 updates in a row, but this time she’s going DOWN!

I looking forward to both of the games being worked on, the demo for Atlas was pretty fun and I want to see where your game systems and story go for it. Hope the new year has been treating you lads well.

I thought the Atlas demo was great. Amber and Jaden were very adorable and I like how bleak the setting is. Everything feels really shitty and hopeless, but you want the heroes to succeed too (maybe). Your writing style I enjoy quite a lot. There’s a number of typos in places which is true in Apostles too, but it’s not a big deal.

In addition, like you mentioned I can tell how much work you’ve put into each little moment and then CJ with not only the full body portraits, but the custom game sprites too. The animations in particular for the game sprites really stand out when they happen. Of course the full portraits also look really good.

Project Atlas looks fantastic. I can tell you put a lot of love and effort into it.

With that said, I cant wait for the next Apostles update! Should be a fun one with Lily at the helm.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m always so happy to hear when people enjoy the LORE aspects of the game as much as the fetish aspects!

And you are in for a treat next update, while it will be a majority of a Lily show next update, we will still see a few scenes of both Gretel and Sebastian!

And plans are already in the works to have Lily visit Dina again this update! You’ll get to see just how far Dina has evolved (or perhaps Devolved) into an even bigger slob.

Won’t rule out the bedpan and diaper play stuff for future content, though I will likely give players an option to turn that on/off as that might be a bit extreme for some!

Thanks again for taking the time to leave your thoughts, hope to bring a brand new update to you this year!

mid-way through a replay, and while I know the pink haired snooty elf was mentioned as something the next update might have I’m wondering who else of the blizzard cast was still sticking around. Most of them left the tavern right?

@techyrp Most/all are actually still around!

Niice~ i know Lily is trying to turn mistress Veronica into a feeder. Might be fun to show all the tavern guests leaving a little wider than they arrived.
