There is one curious implication of this theory: Sebastian at one point mentions that [the three mortal saviours] were born on the same day. If the Angel was one of Cynthia’s children, does this imply Clair and Alexandria (twins) also are?
I just wanted to thank everyone for the warm reception to my theory, and I plan to do a small revision soon to clean it up and add an image or two.

While that could be possible (especially considering Cynthia’s focus on twins) I personally doubt it since I feel like it would have been mentioned already by Gretel, Sebastian, Cynthia, or whoever else. But who knows?
this is amazing. after reading i feel dumb for not catching up to this. i suppose being obsessed with heather and sebastian really gave me tunnel vision. your theory makes so much sense.
Also I am working on a new theory. It involves Ivo.
What are Ivo’s pronouns out of curiosity? I was assuming He/Him because Ivo and the church are a Catholicism expy but I found a line that implies otherwise.
In world, any inconsistency stems from how old and widespread the faith as Ivo has become. As Steph says in an early chapter, if you took a follower of Ivo from the Kingdom, the Empire, and the Warring Isles, you’d essentially find 3 different religions. Much like how Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (to an extent) all have connections back to the old testament, but all have branched out to their own thing.
Out of universe explanation is that I might have made a mistake.
one thing i failed to mention in m previos comment regarding the latest update.
its super interesting how the tailors working for the apostles lie regularly to L despite them being her main patreon. they fabricate lewd stories to glamorize what is their office of surrogate parenhood. but why? i dont think its out of fear for their safet but its ver clearly out of a lack of trust. do they not trust L’s maturity? what does that entail? a breaking off? them losing favor and some abilities while risking L getting someone who might satisfy the enactemnt of her fantasies and, therefore, someone who might be either too liberal with the use of their abilities or plain careless? whatever it is it is a great contrast between how she shows some restraint and growth this update and how sebastian’s and willows lack of trust is not something exclusive of them and is warranted. it makes me think that they dont underestimate L on the subject of her impulses and attitudes and is something that people can see and agree is just plain “bad” behaviour that one must be careful not to encourage or let alone for her to draw her own conclusions.
Don’t worry, it’s nothing as sinister as you feared! The truth is Reggy and Betty don’t want to lose their “cool Aunt and Uncle” status with Lily. It would break their hearts to break her heart by telling her that the life of a breeder is not full of non-stop sex, and instead has a lot of paperwork and responsibilities. Like not letting a kid know Santa isn’t real
well i didnt want it to sound tetric. my main point is that most people in L’s life lie to her on a dail basis. people who know her treat her as a child regadless of who they are and its mostly self inflicted.
This month of September was quite the special month! After years of being friends online, I was able to meet CJ and Nerds off screen and in the flesh. CJ as many should know is the art guy and 50% of Apostles and one of my closest friends who I speak to daily, and Nerds is a fellow WG dev from the world famous game Some Bullshit. He’s been a good friend these last years and we’ve discussed plenty of rpgmaker secrets and tricks! It was only for a period of less than 24 hours, but meeting both of them in the flesh was a wonderful experience. Now all that’s left is meeting everyone here in person too!
They are friends I never would have made if I hadn’t started to make Apostles, and another reason to make game deving all the more worth it!
Speaking of game deving, work is progressing slowly but steadily on Atlas. As I mentioned…it’s a lot! And a bit hard not to get overwhelmed at times, but bit by bit we are building the city.
One of the many reasons I wanted to make project Atlas was to make use of the skills I’ve gained from making Apostles, but didn’t have at the start of Apostles. For example while Auburnwoods is nice, it is just a square map with square houses using default assets. Project Atlas should hopefully be a lot more visually interesting to explore!
Here are some images of the home base for the Atlas crew. (These images and more were available on Patreon earlier!)
