The update itās cooking slowly and beautifulfly!!! It will be beautiful once it comes >:3 and there will plenty of hugeness!! Hahaha imagine if Gretelās enormous fat belly was the tittle screen wouldnāt that be funny? Ha ha ha
Donāt you mean Gretelās tiny tummy. The title screen is likely to be the skinniest she will ever be.
The fact she is still mobile clearly shows sheās malnourished ![]()
Damn I just realised who sebastian reminded me of: urahara from bleach. They both even have a close bond with a cat lady who they forced a non consensual transformation on. Or is heather a dog lady? Either way close enough.
These comments do remind me, I do need to find a new title card for this update! I have a few ideas, big bellies among them!
I asked resident one piece expert, CJ, and he agrees with the comparison! And I think Heather is a snow leopard!
Assuming big bellies, Gretel breaking the title screen with hers would be hilarious lol.
I just realized that we have never seen the inside of Gretelās room.
Actually I did show it at one point! During the last or second to last winter update, itās where Gretel goes during her hallucinations episode.
The room isā¦identical to the room she had as a child. Another symptom of her less then stellar mental state. Perhaps sheāll make an effort to remodel soon!
It would be impactful if she decided to break all the furniture with her expanding belly in the case she tries to remodel.
Getting back to the ideas of title screens, I have a bunch of ideas.
Is this the start of a good list? Will edit in more ideas as they come.I started with 9
I am abit late to the Apostles Meme party, but I made this one and wanted to share. hope everything is coming along smoothly, and once again, Iām looking forward to the next update! ^u^
Ha! This are some very fun ideas! Number 5 is my favorite, though it makes me want to do a future town section that has Sebastian giving EVERYONE in town a medical exam!
Still not sure If Iāll go with a more fetish fueled or drama centered title card, but these are all fantastic, thank you!
Thank you so much! Iām trying my best! Doesnāt always go smoothly, but bit by bit this monster of an update is getting made!
And a very lovely meme, I agree with all the selections!
Admittedly one of the darker moments early on! I wanting to have the audience questioning if the missionaries were even partially as nice as they seem, or if they were more villainous! Gretel very casually has the āTo Serve Manā comment as well, as a red herring.
While I wonāt retcon that scene, I probably wouldnāt have made it like that if I were to make it now, and will likely have a scene follow up on the captured girls in a later update some day down the road.
I feel like Lucy (girl in pink) is the chaotic evil while Gretel and Seb are more Neutral evil. They can do evil things, but given the situations theyāre thrown in, the evil they do on those that deserve it kinda makes them the good guys to others.
Part of what I love about the Apostles is that they seem like genuinely good people who want to change the world for the better, even if their methods could be consideredā¦ā¦.questionable. If they were full on evil I donāt think theyād care if they just captured everyone in Auburnwoods and brought them to the pocket dimension like they did with Heather and Mauve. What makes them compelling is that they try to strike a balance between letting humans(or sentients I guess) be sentients and actually intervening to stop people from being hurt. So calling them evil definitely does have itās merits in some regards, overall Iād argue neutral leaning good, If L was Chaotic Evil, why would she give a shit about the people she mind controlled and set up boundaries around it? If Gretel was Neutral Evil then why would she even resist the destiny of wrath that the Apostleship gave her? Admittedly Sebastian you have the most argument for being evil, but even then Iād still argue heās more on the neutral side of things, dispassionately poking and prodding people to line up to help him with his goal of avoiding the hallway/corridor by curing death, potentially even bringing his wife back. Obviously the beauty of this is that my perspective is one and yours is another, but I hope I at least made some great points for us to chew on (Much to Gretelās delight :^) )
I mean overall the way I see it is lily is the least evil, but the most sadistic and emotionally charged of the three, especially against people who she feels has wronged. Sebastian and (Previously) Gretel feel like a lot of their evilness and sadism is almost a bit detached and impersonal, which is what I think probably makes them worse or more dangerous. There isnāt any righteous anger or even pleasure from hurting people, yet they still do it (I mean for gretel itās more like an outlet for her own pain Iām guessing) .
But yeah, their treatment of the villagers show that at some level they all have good in them, and probably would rather be good people than bad. Itās circumstance and tragedy that has turned them into bad people (or at the very least not good people). I think the story had done well in humanising the characters and making us understand the perspective of the MCs, but ultimately, I think what helps make them sympathetic and generally root for them despite the horrific stuff they do is that their goals align with the players goal of fattening everyone.
Lily has a simplistic, somewhat childish view of morality- that there are Good People and there are Bad People.
Good People are people that the Apostles help. People like Veronica, Steph, and the rest of Auburnwoods.
Bad People deserve to be punished. People like Mauve and Heather should be tormented and itās not immoral to do so and to enjoy it.
This may become a problem since both Gretel and Sebastian are on her Good People list but each have caused more suffering to innocent people than Mauve and Heather could consider.
L knows that Gretel and Sebastion have done horrible things. She probably doesnāt know all the specifics, but she is aware of how awful they were in general. What she thinks is that they were in horrible circumstances, and have been doing their best to make things up, which means that they are Good People. Whether more context about their actions would change Lās mind is something weāll have to find out as the game goes on. In my opinion, the only thing that would be likely to freak her out enough to change her mind would be learning about Cynthia, and whatever Sebastionās relationship with her is.
