Thank you! I’m really glad that you like them! And absolutely feel free to use the sprites, I’d be stoked. That being said, I did accidentally upload a version with an error (back sprites head was in the wrong spot.) I fixed it and edited the post, figured I’d mention it in case you saved the old one already. lol
Hope developments going well! Looking forward to whatever you put out next~
I’m not so sure if I’m gonna come to the thread TOO often with updates but if you guys want some, I’d be happy to provide a few glimpses at new and exciting bits of future updates! That being said, I did want to show off a new look at someone that fans of the party are gonna recognize:
We’ll get to see more of her next update! Stay tuned, folks.
Usually I’m quick to dismiss the rpg maker games on here because they’re all pretty repetitive and cookie cutter, but this game is definitely the exception. The art is amazing and the combat is extremely easy and straightforward, as it should be considering its a fetish game. If I could suggest anything, it would be to add more weight gain elements in the future. I can only hope Autumn gets a lot bigger.
I felt generous, so here’s another glimpse of her! This time, a talking bust! She’s gone through a few design changes, so she might look the slightest bit different:
She was one of my favorite characters from the test game you put out like 2 years ago
Hoping she gets to gain as well, and that the one pic of her you drew letting out a massive belch is canon. Also, the eating weird food fact you put out as well!
so, im usually sceptical of rpg maker games but jeez, you nailed it, the story is great and i really love the characters, honestly looking forward for the next update! <3
Another quick update! Take a look at a little bit of the next town on Autumn and Merc’s journey: Fort Hyde! It’s an ex fortress that has since become a little more homey.
I finally got around to playing this here’s some errors/bugs.
Archerquest bugs, errors, etc. V1.02 (windows)
When entering the market right after Augustus leave’s and interacting with the first stall this error occurs. (Second picture shows which stall the player interacts with for the error to occur.)
A lot of people in the market are labeled as “SR” in dialogue which I assume stands for shop runner, or stall runner. As some NPCS are also just called shop runner. ( I think the SR should be removed in favor of Shop runner, or something not abbreviated. As it’s easier to understand, or more clear. Especially for non native English speakers.)
“Fist of FURY!” stats it does more damage when under 70% HP. I assume this means the player since Merc’s abilities often damage them. But it might help to include if it’s Merc or the enemy that needs to be under 70% hp for this to matter. (Since you can’t see enemy hp, again I assume it’s meant to be the hp of Merc.)
Talking to the grunt inside the Gravelton inn before doing the “food barrage” causes an error. !
The game is fun and has an interesting premise. The characters are well written and the dialogue flows smoothly. It feels like natural conversations and interactions between exaggerated characters. The art, combat, humor and world seem to hit what they are aiming for in my opinion. The combat is easy and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome (for someone that is not a huge fan of rpgmaker combat. As I think, when done “wrong” can feel tedious or overbearing.) While also feeling unique. I would guess that different foods items will unlock different attacks/more advanced techniques for Autumn and is a nice twist to her combat. Also the Merc having self damaging abelites fits both thematically and makes it more interesting.
I would like to see an option to hide dialogue boxes or maybe at times more of an emphasis on character sprites in dialogue. I think most of the feel good and are positioned great. I think there are a few times where I “feel” like I want to hide the box for a better view of Autumn. Two that come to mind are when she is trying on her final ranger outfit with The Merchant, and probably Gravelton stuffing scene and then the slight weight gain at the end. There is quite a bit of the overall sprite that is cut off by the dialogue box during these scenes.
If hiding the box is not an option, possibly moving the sprites a bit higher/changing the opacity of the dialogue box when first calling in the new sprite to give a clearer view might also work (as I know there are plugins for hide the boxes but I am unsure what is available for which versions of RPGMaker.) This is an “issue” that effects the game throughout it though, in my opinion. More so when having Autumn’s name on top of the dialogue box (and the box coving so much of the screen) covering even more of her sprite.
I will say I don’t suffer from deficient color vision but the coloring of the the walls vs the doors in Autumn’s starting village made me not notice the door to her house immediately. I don’t know if it’s the combo of the colors being similar plus the windows being so different but I did spend an extra minute “not knowing” where to go because I did not notice the door, after talking to all the villagers. When I first saw the house I didn’t even notice it had a door. Maybe just a simple color change of the door(s) might make them stand out more.
Looking forward to see what is next for the game going forward keep up the good work.
Love this game! Insanely well polished stuff. Loved the two main characters and their banter, love that there’s no grinding and that mandatory battles are nice and breezy, but not brain-dead either, especially with the amount of fun flavor text you inject in there. And of course, the art is fantastic.
i’ve been having some troubles, on the second village (the one the raiders atack) one of them in the inn tries to play a sound that isn’t on the file so it sends an error mesage and gets the game stuck, if anyone has any info or the file for me to just place it in it would be great, thanks!
Is it the grunt inside the inn in Gravelton? This is an error I had as well and listed it in my bug report. If you don’t talk to the grunt before Merc does his scripted event inside the inn this shouldn’t happen. I don’t recall if you just need to walk around or talk to Merc inside the inn for it to trigger.
