Axugaem2: Official Post (Ver: 0.8.6b) - The Postcard Patch~

Oh okey and how do i fatten up Evelyn? i mean what quest or item i shall do?

I already went shoping but i dont seem to find the date

Plushcakes and Gallonmelons both work. You have to get her weight variable to 20 then enter the tent for her to visibly gain weight. Each plushcake increases her weight variable by 1, while gallonmelons increase it by 4 but can only be eaten one at a time and only in the tent. You can buy plushcakes from the vending machines in Skullbutter’s Circus or from the bakery in Capital City. Gallonmelons can be bought from Jenivia Farm and can also sometimes be found in fruit boxes on various maps.

Okay, for the Leslie/Vespa softlock, I figured out when it happens and it does happen every time. Just choose the chat with Leslie option after dating quests finish and get the one that asks about Vespa history and she talks about hellgates. Seems like it will then go through dialogue and then go into other potential history answers, exhaust them, and then loop back to hellgate for endless loop. Happens every time I get that chat. As for cafe basement one, it really did just seem random. First time I did that cutscene, it was fine. I reloaded to old save to see if choosing not to hold her hand would let me potentially nab treasure chests, but when I got to cutscene Claire would stop walking midway to end of hallway and freeze just like the brig glitch did. Reloaded and it worked just fine, so not sure what causes it. Save point was right outside cafe so I didn’t have a chance to do different approaches, just straight into whirlwind. Brightwood early exit was done after doing the loop through forest to the Weapon M cutscene. Told her to choose for herself, and then when I went down to forest exit, Caldryn would protest, Claire would walk back up a step, but then map would immediately change to outside forest. Hope that helps. Can’t remember too many instances of when the party member sprites being left sitting there after cutscene happened, but it was definitely much more in the end of update content, hence why I specifically remembered Abby left behind after Black Market witch fight.
I appreciate you listening to the more optional wishlist side of the post. None of that is must have content, but any you do choose to add I appreciate. Vespa part was kind of just me brainstorming how you might be able to justify more humanish prey after her quest. Something along the lines of Leslie really getting into the live fish being fed to her, maybe realizing how much Vespa enjoyed her side of things, and potentially giving the greenlight for that kind of prey so long as it is in self defense/for the save the world quest and not on regular citizens. Vespa wouldn’t have to engage in cutscene vore unless explicitly those races mentioned at the town confession scene, but at least you could then have that sort of more human-like prey in random battles and not have to worry about it conflicting with Vespa cannon.
I will emphasize on the Elmira thing I would totally be fine if the whole quest related to that sort of upgrade for digestion is just one long annoying grindfest that seems made to spite Elmira, and that she constantly comments on the frustration at the task throughout it. Such an upgrade really wouldn’t change much when you think about things from a gameplay perspective, as while I think her .exe variant doesn’t seem to inflict that HP penalty I swear happens on the regular devour victims, the enemy being trapped for many turns is essentially a win anyway. So anyone desiring it would really be doing it only for the flair of it. Would fit the bullying tone the game has towards her trying to get that sort of thing, which I did find funny actually because she normally is the one messing with others.

Thank you for that! I’m sorry, I didn’t see the right path at first.

and for the last question how do i start the quest for the queen?

If you mean the quest literally named ‘For the Queen’, go to the desert arms shop in Capital City and check the job board beside Nemset.
If you’re referring to something else, there are a few quests/interactions involving Raziel. If you have Evelyn in the party, just talking to Raziel and selecting the ‘Evelyn wants to say hi’ option will lead to some relationship content between those two characters. Otherwise, you have to be on the Caretakers quest line, which you can start by running around in the jungle until you find the assassin enemy, defeating her, then reading her note.

Thank you for the additional info on those softlocks and other bugs! That should be enough context for me to find and fix the issues, so it’s much appreciated!
And I’ll see what I can do with Vespa and Elmira down the road! I do really like your idea of having the digestion upgrade ‘quest’ be made to drive Elmira nuts, so I’ll at least keep that formula in mind when coming up with endgame content for her! You’re right that regular devour has much more HP drain than devour.exe (which has a tiny bit, but like you said it’s not really consequential.)

Ok, so.
Wanted to try playing the game for the first time, looks pretty interesting…except, as far as I can tell, there’s no way to make the game screen any bigger then 5 inches squared, so it looks SUPER tiny on my computer.
Any way to fix that?

Press F5 it should make it full screen for you. Also F6 will toggle screen sizes you can pick the one you want from there as well.

Oh this is SOOO much better!!
Was worried for a minute because I DID hear about the window-to-full-screen size button, but it made it TO big and blurry.
So thank you very much this is SOO much better!

Though I do wish to note how weird it is that this game requires such intricate workings just to change the screen size, when most other pixel RPG games you can manually change it with just the mouse.

There are many versions of the rpgmaker engine that have been produced over the years, and depending one which one is used they have different hot key controls, functions, etc.

I encountered a freeze when I left the bird racing tower, I get locked in a dialogue with the mayor and then the game refuses to respond

So…how do you unlock the Ice Temple? I…don’t think I ever figured out how to get in, even during my first playthrough with the previous version.

Good god, the Ringmaster fight SUUUUUCKS, but I got through it! Only reason I won was because the game rearranged Clark into my party and the Ringmaster just…couldn’t hit him while everyone else was dead by the time she was in her last phase. Just…UGGGGH…I did this for you, Renée. Don’t forget that…and the butt-ton of money I got from beating the Ringleader, sweet Jesus…

If you mean the mysterious closed gate on the ‘???’ map, it isn’t implemented into the game yet. Next update!

For the Bloodied Badge sidequest, how do I convince Esther to come down to Rotwald? I had Clark speak with her once about it, after that, she’s only had her normal conversation options. Like…is there a special item of whatever that I need or did I just miss something obvious?

Welp, 42+ hours in, and I’ve officially reached the end of my second playthrough, doing nearly everything currently available in the game aside from the doing the rest of the arena challenges (I’ve done the Water one) and the Bloodied Badge quest, which…I still don’t know how to progress with. The new quests and areas are great, and my god, they led to some SERIOUSLY tough boss fights (Hi, Ringmaster and that one Slag Tribe girl…my god, these were a PAIN to do…) Yeah…overall, great experience! Glad I played through it all again! ^w^

Sorry for the delayed reply here! To progress with the bloodied badge quest, make sure you’ve fed Esther a few jars worth of ectoplasm, at which point she’ll start talking about wanting a new mirror. If you go to Capital City and find the furniture store in the Deep-Root District, the guy at the counter will give you a mirror for her. Take that back to her and you’ll be able to progress with the questline!
