Thank you so much, and happy new year! I’ve had a tough week, so this was really nice to read, and it means a lot to me that you’ve enjoyed the game so much!! Very happy that the story, characters, pacing and kink levels all felt natural and appropriate, and I hear you regarding the quest journal and Lani content too. The journal is a bit vague as I’ve come to realize recently that I don’t actually look at it a lot in game while testing, so I’ll certainly try to flesh it out and make it more consistently descriptive for future updates! As for Lani, I’m planning on finally adding some more content for her with the next big update, as she’s definitely lacking in it now compared to Nell. I won’t say she’ll be dateable, but there definitely are a lot of pie shenanigans and some weight gain coming down the pipe for her~
Thank you again for playing and reviewing the game, and for the warm endorsement! The support truly means everything to me!
so how do you fish? The quest for leslie requieres a lot of fish (sry if it was mentioned before)
All good! It’s not totally intuitive. You have to wait until you have access to the Thunder Highlands (you’ll need to have beaten the water temple and have Arci in the party, then go to the leftmost part of the Sand Swamp and exit out the bottom.) Once you do, go to the dock at the bottom of that area and take the ferry to Bablo Isle. There will be a green man near some crates just south of the main dojo there. Talk to him for a fishing quest and a voucher for a rod, which you can redeem at a kiosk on the right side of the Del Nyan Waterfront map! Once you have the rod, just interact with any bubbling water and you’re good to go!
Unless I’m misremembering something, isn’t there some RNG involved in what fish can be caught from a given spot? If so, since fishing spots are one-time use, doesn’t that run the risk of the player never obtaining all of the fish they need for side content?
While I’m not sure about the RNG aspect, I do know certain fish only appear in specific areas as mentioned before. The fish needed for leslie spawned practically everywhere so it wasn’t a problem for me personally (it was a hefty amount required though, lmao)
If you ever need to, though, there’s a special item called the Lucky Lure, which resets all fishing spots in the game.
As Lapho said There’s a lucky lure item that will reset fishing spots, though only on the map you’re currently on, and not on every map. There are multiples of it that you can find in-game, and you’ll even be able to buy them once you complete the fishing sidequests for Boh’Redd (you can technically complete them right now, but it is RNG-dependant still due to scarcity of Kal’Ra stonespines particularly. Future updates will add more fishing spots and opportunities to get lucky lures as well.)
Hey, I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised by how well the game holds up as… well, an actual game. A lot of other games on this site only have the bare minimum of gameplay necessary to provide a delivery mechanism for fetish content, so it’s refreshing to see gameplay taking priority for once. If anything, I almost feel like the fetish aspect could stand to be incorporated into the gameplay a bit more–but since you specifically made it a togglable option, I can understand why its impact is limited. And in any case, the story itself has got me interested even without the fetish content.
Anyway, I’m only up to the Fire Temple so far (first one I’m doing after the Water Temple), but I’ve compiled a decent amount of feedback, I think. Here’s what I’ve got:
-
You can repeatedly place 2nd in the first Iron Gut Contest to grind for as many Bulk Powders as you want. I feel like you’re probably not supposed to be able to get unlimited Max HP boosters?.. I didn’t test this with the second Iron Gut Contest, and I have yet to unlock the third.
-
Water Temple:
- In the dark room, if you go back up the stairs into the antechamber before lighting all the torches, the screen will stay at whatever light level you achieved down there; it doesn’t fully reset unless you go back another screen transition, out into the main hub of the temple. (In other words, the antechamber for the darkness trial doesn’t seem to set its own light level; it just inherits the same light level as whichever room you were in before it.)
- Horizontally-placed Enchanted Bridges still show a vertical sprite.
- The Snow Stalker in the Illusion/Reality room doesn’t seem to be able to initiate combat. It will rush to you as normal, but as long as you don’t actually walk into it or try to talk to it, you won’t get in a fight with it. (If it matters, I think had previously left and re-entered the room to despawn the Snow Stalker.)
-
Using the Bubble Breath Skill Ticket and then saying “No” to actually teaching the skill to Claire still causes the ticket to be consumed. I’m not sure if this happens with other Skill Tickets as well. At the very least, I’m pretty sure that when I had multiple party members who could learn Flame Volley, I was able to back out of teaching it to anyone without losing the ticket.
-
The Avatar of the Scarring Flame can still summon minions after being killed if you choose to take it out before its lackeys. (I feel like this might happen in some other boss fights as well.)
-
Cross appears in Blackhand Cove even if you haven’t recruited him yet.
-
The boat in Old Nyaren turns to “face” you when you interact with it. It’s an inanimate object… I feel like it probably shouldn’t do that?..
-
You can actually leave Blightwood in the middle of doing recon for Caldryn, despite his protests. He’ll nag you when you get to the entrance, and Claire will slide back a step, but then the screen transition will happen anyway once you clear Caldryn’s text box.
-
Attempting to use Adipomancy on Mercy a second time while Sally is already fattened will trigger Sally’s second-time reaction instead of Mercy’s.
-
Speaking of Mercy and Sally, while I didn’t actually get screwed over in this sequence, I do find the possibility of such rather concerning. After fighting Mercy and Sally, you’re forced to sit through some fairly lengthy cutscenes, after which you get thrown straight into another boss fight… and the first thing said boss does is breathe fire on your entire party for significant damage. Oh, and at the same time that this happens, the game removes Caldryn from your party and doesn’t bother trying to replace him with someone else. What if your entire party is low on health after the Mercy and Sally fight, turning the fire breath attack into an instant, unavoidable party wipe? What if Caldryn was the only party member who was still standing after the Mercy and Sally fight, leaving you to go into the subsequent boss fight with an entirely KOed party? Would the game even be able to handle it if you did enter combat with everyone at 0 HP? Mind you, I didn’t actually end up in these scenarios myself, so perhaps you did have some failsafes in place to deal with these issues–and if so, then I commend you for your foresight. I’m just saying that if you didn’t add such failsafes, then I would strongly recommend that you do so, because an immediate forced party wipe (or worse yet, some sort of crash) after a bunch of cutscenes would be rather irritating.
-
If Vespa eats a Cannibal Rat, her interaction with Abby will play out twice in a row every turn. (This happened during the boss fight on the Ghost Ship, to be specific.)
-
Boh’Redd doesn’t seem to actually take any fish from you when you turn in the first list. (I haven’t been able to complete his second list yet, so I don’t know if the same thing happens there.)
-
I found a couple spots where you can interact with a grappling spot from the wrong direction and get soft locked–one in the woods next to Old Nyaren and another one on Mt. Tabula:
- In the scene where you melt the snowman in Whiteshore, Claire scolds Evelyn for it even if the actual perpetrator is Caldryn. Oh, and there also happen to be a couple typos right around here–“peoples’” should be “people’s” and “it’s” should be “its.”
-
I’ve noticed that it’s pretty common for text to get cut off at the right side of text boxes, including in-battle ones. Status effects tend to make this more likely in-battle (specifically when Scanning an afflicted enemy). Is this an issue with my settings, or is the game itself at fault?
-
Is there any way to reorganize items in your inventory? The Key Items tab in particular gets to be pretty messy over time as you collect more and more items, especially if you have a lot of Relics that you haven’t turned in yet.
-
Finally, this doesn’t seem to actually be a bug, but it did strike me as rather odd. The world map seems to be oriented so that up corresponds to south rather than north. This led to some confusion early on (e.g. I was looking for the Air Temple in the empty ocean to the right of Colour Island rather than in the Thunder Highlands area), but I can live with the inverted directions now that I’m aware of them. I just don’t really understand the decision to invert them, and I don’t remember the game calling attention to the oddity. If it’s something you want to keep in the game, then perhaps adding some sort of conversation where Claire or Abby, not being native to Imperium, comment on the map directions would help clear things up. (And if such a conversation already exists, then please forgive my bad memory.)
EDIT: Just found another minor thing: Most of the areas in Spire apparently don’t have their own music triggers. This is mainly relevant because one of them is the throne area, so if you go up past the throne and then back down, the music won’t return until you visit the shore or bridge areas.
Fresh post for visibility because soft locks are kind of important. Grappling from this spot in Westhaven…
…puts you here:
And no, you can’t just step back onto the adjacent ground tiles, unfortunately.
Does anyone have a save file for the start of the most recent update, because my save files were somehow deleted.
I do not have a file to help you, but you might just need to get your old file. Rpgmaker games do not have save files that automatically carry over between versions, but you can get the original file from a previously downloaded version provided you still have access to it. If you go into the game folder and look for the “www” folder click into it and look for the “save” folder. Just copy and paste the save folder into the newest versions’ www folder and assuming the saves are compatible between the two versions you can pick up where you left off.
I can’t find the original file.
I think I can get you close. I’ll message you.
Thank you so much for reporting all these! I’ll make note of everything you reported here and try to have it fixed for the next update.
Regarding the text boxes getting cut-off sometimes, it’s purely a visual bug that I need to go back and fix whenever it occurs. A lot of the time it’s caused by me forgetting to leave space for words of variable length (most commonly the player character’s name). In-battle, it’s much more common and is something I need to smooth out in general since enemies with longer names can cause the text to run out of room and get cut off.
Sadly there’s no way to reorganize the inventory as of yet. I’m keeping an eye out for scripts that might allow for this, since the alternative is a lengthy and careful manual overhauls of how the entire thing works, which might cause some issues with older saves.
And yeah, I think I’ll add in a convo remarking on the inverted map, because it’s easily the biggest regret I have in making the game thusfar, and it’s thrown off quite a few people. My decision-making process was something like ‘this looks better’: aka, not very well thought-through, but it’s just too much of an undertaking to fix at this point, so letting the player know early on is definitely the best option.
Thanks for catching the hookshot softlocks in particular! Always happy to get those and other potential softlocks ironed-out so players don’t have to worry about that shite.
So I was wondering is there a list of all enemies that are able to vore your party I’m having difficulty finding enemies tho I think I’m still early in the game.
Here’s a working list of enemies that can do it so far. Some of these enemies are pretty rare and/or much further along in the game, but hoping to keep adding more with future updates!
-Succubus Hustlers (Del Nyan Caves, Kalvarr, Westhaven Tunnels)
-Glutton Pups (Main map, Dune Forest, Ironfruit Jungle)
-Merleen Figurehead (miniboss)
-Ula (boss)
-Ovidon (Magma tunnel, Dune Forest)
-Starving Vampire, Female (Blightwood)
-Bulback Nymph (miniboss, currently specific to dating Abby, but more will be added soon)
-Tam’Ra (boss)
-Shaol’Ra (miniboss)
Edit: I forgot Kira! She should technically be on this list since in addition to gobbling up a few NPCs, she eats a specific party member prior to one of her boss fights, although she doesn’t currently eat anyone during battle (looking to remedy this grievous error asap)
It’s also worth noting that Nell (if you go with her) and Vespa (once you get to her) can learn a skill that lets them eat enemies. Talk to Biri the snake and grab the skill ticket for Devour, then teach it to either character.
what are all of the party member that can gain weight if they can?
Currently, all the party members who can gain weight (permanently) are: Abby (feed her enough Nyan Taffy), Nell (teach her the skill ticket Devour and eat enough enemies), Vespa (feed her enough hot as hell links and/or teach her Devour and eat enough enemies) and Cedric (this one’s more complicated and later on in the game so just ask if you’re interested). You’ll need to buy the aforementioned specific items from Biri (the green snake who pops up everywhere) for most of these characters to gain weight. However, if you unlock the optional character Elmira (just start by taking Abby to the inn in Crabshoot Bay and talking to the blonde singer inside if you don’t have her already), you can use her magic to induce weight gain in quite a few of the regular enemies as well as a couple bosses. There’s also a quest involving Elmira and Ashley if you went with Nell at the start of the game, where Ashley gains a substantial amount of weight for a brief moment.
Also worth noting is that Vespa can date a neko named Leslie by visiting the maid cafe in Crabshoot Bay and asking her out (this is the same event that lets you set up Vespa and Claire as the other option). There’s quite a bit of relationship content and questlines involving Leslie which eventually lead to her gaining some weight and even appearing in the tent!
Finally, I’ve got a fair bit of weight gain content planned for Lani with the coming update, and possibly one or two other characters as well. I’m hoping to push that update some time in April.
A quick question, does relationship’s with characters cause any significant changes to the storyline?
So i did find a few of the enemies that can vore the party, but are there any enemies that have like a game over scene, involving vore like voring the party with text and digestion, rather than just the battle ending on a game over with no digestion?
At the moment it’s only minor changes, but I’m working to build up the impact of relationships as the game progresses when it comes to some of the major plot points down the road!
